@@Tedus987 Sorry, I checked and you're right - that is the one Cell uses in DBZA. I'd confused it with several other fighting game quotes, particularly "A new challenger approaches." The abridged series also implied the reference came from Frieza to begin with, but it better suits the bug-man.

21 matured. He became WAY more similar to his canon self, without discarding who he is, nor his feelings for the world, family and friends he grew with. His Frieza side is showing progressively more, but I really hope it won't get any further.
I really like 21's motivations here. They're similar to Gero's, but her wish to eliminate Goku is more pragmatic, it's not just petty revenge.

"What If Goku was actually like Superman?" - you know, completely selfless person, an attentive father etc. I know some say it's not a huge change and he's already a Superman but I disagree, I think such change in character's personality (just like "What If he won against Master Roshi" series) can affect the plot in long term, like he's relationship with Gohan and Chichi being better (and in return her being more understanding) and his attitude towards villains being more hero-like first rather than "I want to fight strong guy/I'll let him power up to get better challenge." And for example, his relationship with Vegeta remaining more hostile due to Goku's moral compass being way more hero-like.
I actually really like this. The question is, can it be made into an entertaining what if story?

@@skywardsword2804 I think it's a domino effect where one small change causes chains of events (again like in "What If he won against Master Roshi"). With this, I don't see it affecting original DB part since Goku's negative traits aren't that present there but from the Z part I can see it already starting to be visible, positively affecting for example his marriage with Chichi and relationship with Gohan.

This would be super interesting. Both personalities having a different fighting style or even techniques. Imagine the Buu Saga craziness that could happen: Blonde launch turns majin, but blue launch is unaffected.

I gotta say, some of these hooks are really selling the character personalities on a level where I could believe they were the real deal. I especially love the ending hook for this one:
"Let's see what they can do when a third party joins the game." That is very much a Frieza mentality and I am looking forward to seeing the chaos of the next part.

The best redemption what-if is back!
It has indeed been a while, but this part was worth the wait. Small jabs at the original material like 21's eye color, good use of 'minor' characters (and Krillin/Trunks' tv-perfect lines developing as a result), ...'memes'... and so many fresh ideas regarding a previously tangled narrative - these are all details I've missed having more of, and keep this content fantastic. Super Broly wasn't *needed* here, but it remains to see how that can further change the story. Keep it up!

Man this is getting more interesting now with Frieza and Broly coming into play when 21 and her Clones are causing problems for the Z-Fighters fighters. Makes me wonder who going to deal with who? Also make me wonder what Dr. Hedo's reaction would be like if he saw his Grandmother like this. 🤔 Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

That would be an interesting turn around actually. not sure if actually plausible, but I'd like to see it. Although being a man of science himself, I have a feeling gero would try just like he did in the chichi z fighter what if to tone down the magic as much as he can.

I’m hoping Vomi/21 will be around for the Moro arc, Moro73 is perfect for her research, the data of og73 alone is irreplaceable for Vomi, the skills, techniques, power’s, and abilities of countless alien civilizations will help Vomi make her clones far superior to the originals. Moro73 is truly the ultimate androids (he’s not as powerful as Fu, or Mira, but with a touch on the neck he could be that, and far more)
If Vomi studied Moro73, she could give herself a android body with whatever modifications she wanted, while keeping her sanity, while using all of the powers, and abilities of all of the beings she gathered data from or just copied.
I'm not sure why 21's adamant about advancing the human race. In the game, she just wanted to eat things. Oh, and I guess Cell (I'm calling him that for simplicities sake) didn't try to read her mind to get information even though he has telepathy?
I suppose the biggest question is why all this is happening now instead of when FighterZ actually took place, if I recall correctly it was right after Resurrection F.
My guess is Masako is basically making 21 more his own rather then following the original plot. In either case, the motivation is more sensisible even if going about it the wrong way so I'm here for it.
@@SionReaver I get that, and don't get me wrong, I prefer this new motivation for 21. But it's just not consistent with the original, which is important because this What If isn't about changing the original 21's motivation. It'd be like if, in the next part, Frieza reveals he wants to get the Dragon Balls to become the universe itself instead of becoming taller.

So... I know Fighterz has three separate "canons", but do they ever address how 21 got Buu's DNA at all? Was she made after the Buu Arc, or before, like it's implied here?
Oh wow! What a massive collision of events! It's all so exciting! I can't wait to see how this plays out! And then perhaps see if Cell gets his own "emotion/instinct" based form assuming you plan on going that far. We've seen Goku with Ultra Instinct, Vegeta in the manga has Ultra Ego. I think giving Cell some form like those after having obtained a form like Frieza's would be a perfect send off, and a way to prove how insanely high his potential is thanks to his DNA! Plus I bet Frieza would lose his mind when he sees that Cell got the best of both worlds.
Not sure what the form would be called/based off of. The name that comes to mind is "Confidence Lock" perhaps he gains a form in which he is able to maintain a level of confidence which whilst it causes him to act recklessly it also allows his brilliant brain to kick into overdrive and have him become a significantly better battle strategist on top of a power boost. Alternatively maybe he learns how to merge the demon and God ki together, becoming "Demon God Cell" or "Seraphim Cell" if you wanted to take that approach. That would also work incredibly well, he's settled his social health, harmonized his mental and emotional health, and his final bit of character development would be to consolidate the power reflecting him and his experiences.
