What If Caulifla Was Born In Universe 7? In a timeline where Universe 6 and Universe 7 swapped Caulifla and Gohan's lives around, how would the Saiyan cope as the daughter of Goku and Chi-Chi and not from Sadala? Would she be able to adapt to the world of Dragon Ball Z and having Raditz as an uncle? Would she be a good person or just as care-free as her original version? I like how Goku is being more active in the development of Caulifa. It’s cool to see Caulifa look up to Trunks.
I wonder how she’ll feel when she finds out about Trunks’ relationship with Vegeta given her dislike of him here.

@@NikaiX2 Around 13 year age difference. Isn't really anything. Caulifla would be either 22-23 at the Goku black arc and Trunk would be around 35-36. Age wouldn't be an issue at that saga.
Future Mai is around 65 years older than future Trunks and same thing goes for present Mai and Trunks. In dragon ball, as long as you look the same age, you are fine.

Caulifla when seeing Future Trunks: "OH MY GOD! HE IS SO GODDAMN COOL!"
This just made me realize just how much overlap the Yardrat training options have with Piccolo’s power set. He’s already very familiar with meditation training as well as the lesser forms of both gigantification and multi-form so he would master all of those perfected trainings in record time. And given the Namekians innate abilities towards magic and having their own forms of healing, he’d probably crush that, too. And I’d wager that his experience with techniques like the Mafuba and his history with Kami and their split would probably smooth the learning curve of spirit fission as well. He may not come out the other side with many new techniques but his existing ones would be stupidly powerful with most, if not all, the drawbacks lessened or totally eliminated (gigantification with no time limit, full-power Makankosappou with little to no charge time, probably the ability to unlock Orange Piccolo himself and way earlier, etc). And if he ever did learn Kaioken on top of that, hoo boy would he be broken even without an Orange/Ultimate power up.
Dang, Imagine if he’d spent the three years before the Androids perfecting the whole gamut. Who needs Super Saiyan? 😂

@@MasakoX Not that I’m saying that Goku wasn’t a good father in the canon storyline but there were times where he needed to be a father.
I think with ChiChi having abandoned the role of being the ‘stern’ parent (or at least distancing herself from it), Goku’s realized that he has to step up a bit more in the responsibility department here. Especially since Caulifla’s martial arts life has gone a little off the rails in terms of her general lack of discipline.
I feel that acquiring some of that Yardrat spirituality (plus general maturity) will help bring *just* enough equanimity to Caulifla to try and rebuild her relationship with ChiChi over the course of the Android/Cell Saga (if Goku ends up sacrificing himself again here it’ll be necessary for the seven year time skip) as well as cementing her and Goku’s relationship as they both throw themselves whole hog into getting Super Saiyan together, especially if they do end up spending by a year in the Time Chamber together.
Somehow I think this will end with a much stronger Son family unit than in the original. Which would be pretty wholesome to see for once since most of these end up with either a more strained one or something more or less the same as the main timeline.

The funny thing is about Goku is that he has proven that he can be smart and tactically in battle even knowing how to get under people’s skin in a way that benefits him mind you that most of the time it’s on accident

Especially since Cell no doubt knows gigantification AND Oozaru as well because of his Namekian and Saiyan DNA, and will have at least some of Caulifla’s personality as well this time. He probably can’t do either quite as well as Caulifla but I think his regeneration will keep him in the fight long enough to make for a pretty epic Kaiju battle.
I suppose it's a different Trunks for each timeline though it would be funny to see some memes about it.
It’s probably gonna take a while for her to unlock ssj4 though considering my you have to master the fury for the Golden Oozaru to do that. Considering she can’t even seem to master her own fury at the moment I doubt she’s doing that any time soon. Maybe in Super.

12:12 If Caulifla gets her Super Saiyan form eventually, I can see her combine that with Gigantism form to make her Ki attacks bigger and more effective area-of-effect damage in battle.
I’ve never been clear on this point: does gigantification increase your power as well as your size (like Oozaru) or does it stay more or less the same (like Namekian gigantification)? Somehow I feel like Oozaru and gigantification should amplify each other somehow, but maybe that’s a bit fanficcy.
@@KentuckyKaiju it does. Just the one that Piccolo use. But about the yarard idk. Also gigantification is way weaker than ozaru just increase the power of the user by 1.37.

I love that you're not looking at 'meme goku' who is a thundering dumbass full time, and instead focusing on the Goku who knew his daughter, who was engadged and 'got' her because they thought a lot alike. The goku that has a keen awareness and perceptivness out on the field in danger situations, and while there is no physical danger here? That's his daughter, and he's seeing exactly the kind of person she could grow into would be the kind of person he'd *HAVE* to fight if he doens't fix this mess.
At first, I was worried about Caulifla kinda going out of control. Maybe a foreshadow for when she turns Super Saiyan.
In the end, when I saw her fangirl over Trunks and Tapion's Sword (the "Why was I not informed?" Was gold) I thought "She'll be fiiiiiiiine..."

It's going to be real interesting once this story gets to the Cell Games to possibly be seeing Caulifla in Gohan's place against Perfect Cell.

Hilarious and intriguing character change as usual, thinking about it go on use to carry a blade during his childhood and during the Moro Arc as a reference, so having Califlia be a practitioner in swordsmanship is an amazing and unique change: a Z-Fighter Swordswoman ( who would later use the Ki-blade in the Buu saga or Super)
I feel more convinced that Toriyama or whoever is basing (new) kid Pan off of Caulifla

As for character position, I was thinking that he'd be born out of wedlock (Bardock with the queen), with Tarble being the actual heir and an older brother.
This would create some sort of dynamic between Gogeta and Raditz, making Raditz (narratively speaking) the Vegeta in the story.
This would be better suited for an april fool

I think Caulifla getting SSj4 would make sense. Ssj4 is about reining in rage and saiyan (or monke) instincts. It would be interesting to see her get it by managing to finally control herself. You could go down a lot of routes (even some dark ones) to get there. Also Caulifla needs to use a sword. You could have it break, symbolic of whatever she's going through at that point.

Nice both Goku and Caulfla buckle down on Spirit Control Training, and having their own techniques besides the normal Instant Transmission like Cloneing (Goku) and Gigantification (Caulfla). I wonder who trained Future Trunks in this what if series I was thinking Caulfla, but she doesn't seem like the mentor-type another idea would be Raditz, because he would be the cautious type when dealing with the Android threat. 🤔 Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

What if Tarble was sent to earth. Considering the time line he was probably sent not long before planet Vegeta was destroyed. With significantly more knowledge about his home world and people. He was peaceful so he wouldn’t destroy the earth. Him and Goku would probably be raised like brothers. He might work to make the earths overall technology and strength greater. He might want to find other Saiyans that were exiled like him for being to weak or not saiyan like (this would happen after the defeat of freeza). I just imagine him as more of a leader type. He would probably go down the path of natural saiyan transformation (I.e. SS4 stuff) and great ape transformations.

Dx I mean: If this Vegeta has mellowed out and become an ally (more than the original at this point). Than there is no one left for Caulifla to fear becoming if she does cruel things. So she has no incentive NOT to be like that aside from disappointing her father. And the older she would become, the lessshe would care about that last thing. So yeah… ;n;

And now we have yet another what if where Bulma and Yamcha's relationship was doomed to fail. Thought for sure the events on Namek would have let the pair stay together, but I guess Bulma was unable to resist the prince's raw animal magnetism and slight change of heart. And while the narrative seems to be hinting that Caulifla might be developing a bit of a crush on Trunks, I'm going to take a shot in the dark and instead guess that it isn't a romantic thing; instead just being something more along the lines of "hero worship", you know, kind of like how Trunks felt about Gohan in the future. Also I do wonder what will be the cause of the first Super Saiyan's appearance in this timeline? Will it be a dramatic event, or will our heroes just get it via training?
I really, really hope you're right about how Caulifla views Trunks here. The line "Why am I feeling this way?" seems to suggest a crush, and if so, I'm going to be extremely disappointed.
As a lesbian DBZ/DBS fan, Kale x Caulifla is the closest I've seen to personal representation. I know it's only hinted at and not a canon relationship, but there's absolutely zero evidence to suggest that Caulifla is heterosexual. I honestly expected better of Masako than trying to heteronormatize her in this What If.
I also hope that we still end up with a lesbian Caulifla, although since she's taking Gohan's place here it might be fun to see her and Videl get together instead of her and Kale.
@@justmyluck624 I doubt we will see that though. Just because Caulifla is possibly interested in girls doesn't mean that Videl is. (Canonically she did marry a man in the og timeline) I'm predicting that either Caulifla will either just end up with no one at all, or, should Masako lean into making her an open lesbian, find her way back to Kale.
@@RuriMizuno I've actually never heard of the word "heteronomatize" before. Never knew that was actually a thing. But anyway, like I said, I still think this is going to be a "hero worship" kind of thing, similar to how Trunks viewed Gohan in the future. Besides, even if Masko did end up making Caulifla interested in boys, she wouldn't be with Trunks. Regardless of which Trunks is in her sights (present or future) I'm pretty sure a relationship between the two will be doomed to fail due to the age gap between them. (She'd be too young for future Trunks and too old for present day Trunks).
