I was on an MSC Cruise from Genoa to Durban in Nov 2019 calling at various places along the route including Jordan, Isreal and a number of Indian Ocean Islands. There was a large passenger manifest with a large variety of different nationalities including, German, English, Indian, Chinese, American, South African and other nationalities. During the cruise nearly everyone on the ship developed and was suffering from a cough, a Temperature, Stomach Bug and various other symptoms. This went on for all of the cruise and weeks after in my case. Was this COVID 19 ? no one is sure so far as I believe but my guess it was and thankfully I recovered. How did anyone else get on from the same voyage ??
I was on a MSC cruise in December 2019 and the same thing was going on. I was in the duty free shop and a woman ran in there coughing and gagging and said she and her mother have been in the bed for 2 days and they needed some medicine. Anyway I remember the lady had to sign a receipt for paying for it and I told the guy to give me a different pen because i certainly didn't want what she got. But, a few days after I got off the ship i was extremely sick and stayed in a hotel in bed for a week. It was terrible. I still don't know if that was covid. I've never been sick since then, haven't had covid the flu or a cold. Fingers crossed.
