Hi Muzi, I'm so glad I could help! Wow I'm sure you'll have the best time.. the mini bar is extra, so if you drink anything from that small fridge, they will charge you extra. Stat safe☺ let me know how you liked it

Hi, I was wondering if you can share how was the overall cruise experience with MSC. There is a Venice to Durban 26-day cruise I’m looking at. Would you recommend it?
I'm not the OP, but I've sailed on MSC cruises several times. Actually, I have 3 upcoming cruises later this year on MSC. I mainly do the long voyages like 20 days, etc. I was looking at the Durban/Venice cruise and another cruise they have from Durban. But, I think I'm doing that in 2024.
To answer your question, MSC is the only cruise line I actually like because you get a wide variety of passengers from all over the world on them, usually. I don't like sailing from or to the USA, as the people can be rude, and MSC in other countries are very nice and the passengers overall.
They have some really good pizza. The food is okay and for the prices you pay for these cruises it's very well worth it. But, as I stated before the passengers are from everywhere. Of course there's some cruise routes where you'll get a large number of one nationality, like the south american cruises are usually filled with Brazilians.

Asking coz also heard bad reviews of the food but from what I see yours looked good so checking if it's the free food?

Hi there, yeah the food was included for us. I thought it was all pretty good except for the fish. But there's sooooo many options you'll for sure find something you enjoy plus you can eat throughout the entire day!!
No, all the shows were also included. We only had to buy drinks vouchers separately and if we wanted to do any excursions on the island, we had to pay for those too

So a friend and I are planning on going on a cruise in either Feb or March 2022. There honestly isn’t a lot of information out there regarding cruising and I have a bucket load of questions.
Firstly; do I need a passport (from Durban to Mozambique)
What is the cheapest way to cruise?
What season/month is better for cruising?
Service charges?
The drinks?
Excursions?
What happens when you get off the boat, is that experience part of the initial money you pay at the beginning or are you paying separately at the beach for the food and drinks?
The activities in the boat, are those all free?
Do you think it’s best to travel in a larger group or are two people just fine? (Considering that I’m very social and my friend isn’t so outgoing)
Is it safe for young women (20) to go on a boat, just the two of them? Considering the fact that there’s drunk men and all that 🙃

Hi Andy , estimate price on the cruise ?
About R12k for 2 people, not including drinks vouchers or excursions
R19k for 3 people,which includes a balcony.
Being on msc orchestra recently. Food there is nothing to rave about. Quality is poor. It's like they doing me a favor by cooking. Meat is hard to cut. Rice not even cooked properly, vegetables are hard. Even complained to supervisor who did noting about it. Let's not talk about the wastage of food on board as well.
Eish I'm sorry your experience of the food was not so great, that definitely sucks!
