I loveeeeee msc. Only affordable line in America for solos. Everyone is gonna go on the best cruise they can afford. Msc is great for lower income / working class folks who thought we’d never be able to afford to cruise. Plus if you sail on an older ship during a non busy season, you’ll probably get a balcony upgrade. I never have had any issues with staffing or food.
You get what you pay for !!!!! 1. Boring, nothing to do 2. Cold , bad, bland, samey food 3. Hidden fees everywhere 4. Bad staff, rude, yelling, ignorant 5. Crowded, no seats, long lines 6. Dirty, dangerous, ripoff cruise
I've been on 30+ RCL cruises. I was on MSC in the beginning of December. I brought my daughter and her 2 small children. The cruise was 1/2 the price of RCL. The food was excellent. The drink prices are high, without a drink package. The private island is very beautiful.
We made conversation with bartenders at an empty bar, gave a few dollar tip on our round of drinks, ended up getting free drinks for the entire cruise from same bartenders (gave a few dollars tip every round)
Completely loved our MSC cruise. I especially love staying overnight at Ocean Caye. Ocean Caye was beautiful, and a refreshing experience, to relax on a beautiful beach, rather than in the middle of an amusement park. We will absolutely cruise on MSC again!
I am not a megaship girlie, whatsoever. But, I deeply appreciate the work that clearly went into this video. The detail, the analysis, the footage quality, all incredibly commendable. I hope you enjoyed your voyage!
You cannot realistically pay MSC prices and expect Cunard type food and service. I have been on MSC several times and enjoyed it every time. The coffee and pizza is the best out there. And on the Marivigulia there is fresh made mozzarella. Yacht club is about the same as a balcony on Royal Caribbean and is unbelievable.
Cruise companies purpose like any corporation, public or private, is to make money for its owners and a return on its investment. The low prices are to entice you onto the ship and try to sell you other products and activities. IF they just relied on the cruise fare and nobody spent any more money on board, they would lose money and go out of business. The alternative is to price the product all inclusive and that limythe market to those who can afford to pay the higher price! You can’t fill up a 6000 passenger ship if it is all high priced!
I was on MSC seaside in 2017…..it it was very good……..I’m still dreaming about their breakfast pizza!!!! OMG 😳 it was sooo good!!! I would love to get on MSC again…….perhaps soon!!
@@johnngai4561 Not true with MSC. The cruise business is not their big money maker and they do not rely on it for company profits. They are a large international shipping company, if not the largest, and unlike other cruise lines it is not their only income. Yes, I agree they do try to upset a whole lot on board, but just walk past them. MSC is a private, family held business and does not have to please the short term shareholders to pay them a dividend every quarter. So I will take my Yach Club cabin for the price of a Royal Caribbean balco y any day of the week.
I’m booked on Seashore Yacht Club in a few months. It will be my first MSC cruise. It was the price of a balcony cabin on a newer Royal Caribbean ship.
We had a great trip doing a 14 day transatlantic. We observed that many guests had tickets for intermediate stops. So the ships were used for transport as well. Great trip of a lifetime! Thanks MSC. ❤
Last spring I was on MSC Seaside for my first MSC cruise. Loved it. There are things that are different (not bad different) from cruise lines like Carnival, Royal Carribbean, etc. Different types of food (remember they are a Mediterranean cruise line) and no free soft serve for example. The ship was beautiful and I loved my cruise with MSC. I will be on the MSC Seashore at the end of Jan 2024 and really looking forward to it. While I still cruise with Carnival & Royal Caribbean, I will book another cruise with MSC in the future.
I love MSC. I have sailed on three different ships Davina, Seascape and Seashore. And my favorites in that order. I have not had any problems with staff on either Ship nor any food complaints. I felt that Seashore staff was a little short. The staff worked very hard trying to keep up with everyone. I have no complaints. ❤
Some people that eat fast food everyday are the best at complaining. Crass and no class. It is exhausting to hear such stupid complaints like “a bird crapped on my balcony”. Yet that’s the people always complaining and so ungrateful for everything. I say, stay home. I have had zero problems with MSC. Always enjoyable.
@@MrArod I can refer you my travel agent because prices goes up and down. I always book through her and she looks for all the discounts and if any on board credits you may get. I'm thinking around $1200 maybe a little more. But I always have my on board gratuities applied and all ports fees. So I pay one price for everything. And I get balcony room. So that where the price can change. Also time of year you want to Cruise also affects prices. Yes if I can be any further assist let me know please. I love MSC. Travel Agent: Travels with Nita.
At the end of the day - it is not the quality of the engineers that makes the difference between cruise lines but the level of professional competence of those who run the Hote/Resort /Gastronomy management on board.
I have only been on one MSC cruise but it was a fantastic experience. The service was great. The food was good and the entertainment was different but I liked it. I will book more cruise on MSC when they start sailing out of Galveston
Coming from a carnival cruise line with 65 cruises with my diamond staus being matched at MSC has been an amazing experience . It is wonderful to try new experiences. The prices are priceless 😊 . Thank you for all this information.
We have sailed twice on MSC, last year on Seascape and this year on Meraviglia. We have enjoyed the values and service so much we booked two cruises five days apart for next year. We are leaving Miami for Rome for 20 nights, staying five days in Rome, then taking MSC back to Miami for another three weeks. We are hoping to do the world cruise in 2026, so a total of about six weeks at Sea will help prepare us. We are doing the Aurea experience with a balcony stateroom both ways. The only complaint we've had is that the food could be better at the main dining room and buffet. We bought the Specialty Dining package last cruise and we highly recommend it. We also recommend buying the appropriate drink package, as we bought that first cruise on MSC, but didn't this time. We are NOT wealthy, but MSC makes us feel that way with their awesome values.
We are trying MSC for the first time. We are on the same cruise you are. Civitavecchia to Miami, 21 nights. We are Celebrity cruisers so we shall see. Price was excellent for ocean view room. We didn't want to spend a lot trying them for the first time. We did get wifi, drinks and trio specialty restaurant pkg. Very reasonable. We booked Fantastica experience. Also did the match and are Gold with them.
Thanks for this video! Lots of great information, and gives me a whole other perspective on MSC! I've been on MSC, and I agree with one of the comments below that it's a great option for solo travelers because the prices are so cheap you can even afford to pay for a double-occupancy cabin. The pizza is wonderful, and even if you have to pay extra for the gelato, it's worth it! The excursions also cost extra, but were not that expensive (around $50 for a half day) and had very good local guides. The crew were certainly very busy, but the service was just fine. It's my only cruise experience, so I can't really compare to others, but I think your advice is excellent - manage your expectations. Enjoy what they offer, which is a lot, and if you want a luxury cruise experience, go with another line.
We just got back from our 2nd MSC cruise out of Brooklyn on the Merigvillia. Our first cruise was good, our second was very good. My wife, and I agreed the food was much better, specifically: food served hotter, steaks, and beef dishes seemed upgraded, my filet mignon, was probably the best I've ever had. Entertainment was, we think better than other lines we've been on. We love MSC.
I sailed MSC Seascape in Nov of 23. The ship was beautiful, service was very good, and our cabin was awesom! We did Arura package. I would sail MSC again.
We have been on 1 MSC cruise. It was last year on the Seascape. While the ship was beautiful, we found the food hit or miss, and there is only the main dining room and the buffet for included food options. We feel this just isn't enough.
We have just returned from our journey on the MSC WORLD EUROPA and I will say that they offer a lot of deals. However you will get constantly harassed to get a speciality restaurant package or drink package. The ship itself was beautiful! Was on the Seaside in May and Ocean Cay is Beautiful! Just know that MSC has a kids sail free program so if you don’t have kids like myself that can be a downer. But for families it can be a very attractive incentive. Overall I would cruise again with MSC, just have to pick the timing right for less children. Thanks for the video! Very detailed and informative!👍
Going on magnifica in three weeks with the understanding of the size and age of the ship. Meraviglia was beautiful, many choices for specialty dining and the ship was spotless, not like Liberty or the seas
@@ralphg450 Glad I’m not the only person who thought that about Liberty!! We were on in 2022 and was shocked at how filthy the balcony was when we got to our room. Could have had my yearly supply of salt by clearing the glass!!👍
My first cruise was with royal and my second was with msc, I been cruising msc ever sinse. Both cruiselines were amazing but msc just wins in price. We have a 14 days cruise booked next year in a suite with msc that would cost the same for a regular balcony one week cruise with royal
We've been on 3 cruises with MSC and the value has been great! The ships are beautiful and so is the private island. Where it lacks though is ship entertainment. If you just wanna relax it's great.
People should simply relax and enjoy being on the ocean. If entertainment is so important just stay on land as there are thousands of different options.
I was just on MSC Seaside August 2023 to the Bahamas and had an AMAZING time, and got me some great VLog footage if anyone's interested..(Shameless Plug) Paid roughly $1,500 for a really nice Balcony room, which included a nice drink package (drinks $10 or less) and WiFi for 1 device.... We came out of Port Canaveral and the whole process was actually very smooth and seamless, and this was MY 1st cruise ever!!!!!! Such a great experience!!! I would definitely sail with them again... I'm just tired of Bahamas...LOL (went 2wice in 2023)
"...Food options could be enhanced" is a nice way of saying the choice and quality suck. I will not go on another MSC cruise for that reason, regardless of price.
MSC was the cruise lines that told YT cruise ship vloggers Ben & his partner they weren't allowed to film while aboard their ship. They later apologized but they should have never singled them out as if they committed a crime and in lieu of sorting it out immediately, were only rude and resulted in the vloggers cutting their cruise short because of it. I wonder if the cruise ship would have done anything at all if not for the negative reaction in the court of public opinion after the fact.
We sailed on the MSC Meraviglia a little over a year ago, Fantastica experience, 7 day cruise. The ship was beautiful and staff tried their best BUT they ran out of multiple liquors, eggs, yogurt and even butter during the cruise. That's just insane! While we've been tempted by the prices, we just haven't decided to try again because of reviews. I do wish they would get their act together. I'm tired of hearing that they're not an American cruise line . . . when you are sailing out of the US and trying to attract the US customer you NEED to stock the ship properly!
Have you received a reply from MSC? Did you speak with an officer on board at the time? Was an explanation given or did they attempt to make you whole?
We Love MSC .. We were on the inaugural sailing of the Seascape. We left from Funchal on the TA crossing to NYC .. B4 it headed to Miami ..we are expats Living in Spain and it was cheaper than flying back to the states during the Christmas season..it was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to go again. Our intention is via the yacht club.
Cruised with MSC twice. Will return. Its a wonderful experience without feeling like its too expensive (comparable to what we've paid for RCCL before they built their mega ships). The experience was comparable to NCL/RCCL when cruising on non-mega ships.
We sailed msc last Sept after always sailing carnival and we were shocked at how inexpensive they were and you get wifi and drinks included. It ended up being cheaper than just a room carnival offered. We liked how msc took us downtown in the heat of Cozumel. Everything was right there downtown and we didn't have to take a taxi
We, as Europeans, would always always always chose MSC over Costa. Costa is just crap! We did several cruises with both companies over the years. The last ones with both in 2023. While the Costa ship was newer (and much bigger) the overall experience was by far worse than with MSC. With MSC you can expect middle class people, passengers with manners, while with Costa it is at least two classes lower. Rude. Loud. Awful. The nicest ship can not compensate low food quality, no interest in passenger demands and low working interest of the crew. No wonder, when you hear about the working conditions and payment at Costa. They should be avoided! No single penny from us any more for that line!!
I've done NCL, RC, Carnival, Holland America and MSC. They all have specific pros/cons. Cost is one of my big criteria. Looking at a Cruise for next Thanksgiving, MSC (~$2300 for 3 in balcony )was much cheaper then anyone else and I had to ask myself is it worth $1700 more for same iternary, same type room, only difference was ship amenities. At that price I couldn't justify the difference, I could almost go on a 2nd cruise with the price difference.
Cruised MSC twice in last 12months, excellent VALUE. Best food, no - but definitely above average/ Best service, pretty damn good / Best entertainment, no - average. Only thin missing is 'Burger' type restaurants, but the Pizza @ Buffet is Excellent!
We are going on our 1st MSC cruise with some friends on the Seashore next month, we have done 10 previous cruises, mostly on Holland America. After watching this video I am even less enthused about it, it looks so big and crowded!
We cruised on Seahorse last November and it was good. The only thing they need to improve on is the food, definitely hit and miss. Food was sometimes better at the buffet than in the main dining room. We had a great time.
We found that it was not overly crowded, you can easily find nice peaceful areas. On the Meragvillia we would have breakfast at the rear of the ship, nice, and quiet. We did have breakfast early 6:30-7am, then off to the indoor/ outdoor pool and hot tubs in the Bamboo pool area.
Went on first MSC cruise few weeks ago. Been on RCL & NCL 13 cruises between them. Good summary... based on one experience with MSC not favorite but definitely good overall value. That said we would use MSC for a less important getaway and other two for something more important or special
I sailed with MSC on my very first cruise back in September 2022, 14 nights on the Vertuosa. A very nice modern boat, the staff were mostly very good, but being assigned a restaurant and a fixed time to eat didn't suit me. I've since been on 2 further cruises with NCL and the flexibility to eat where, when and what is much better. The quality of the food in the restaurant was horrible but the buffet was actually a little better but was still hit and miss. Not sure I'd use MSC again regardless of how cheap a deal it might be. The food and drink play an important part of the experience and it was overall poor with MSC, especially as I can now compare it to another company who were far superior
I have been on MSC 2 times so far and been on others ( RCL,NCL, HAL, Carnival) over all I like MSC best, and plan on going again in Nov. the food is different - more Mediterranean, than American. I like that.
I will try them some time soon, possibly this year. Heard mixed feedback on them to be honest particularly when it comes to food but I am still willing to give them a try. Living fairly close to Port Canaveral it can be a relatively cheap getaway especially at MSC prices. My wife cruised with her mother on them and my wife really enjoyed it, her mother not so much
My wife and I have done 5 MSC cruises(haven't been on another cruiseline) and loved it very much. We're doing our 1st non-MSC cruise in June with NCL. It will be interesting to compare the differences. 🤔🤨
My 1st Cruise was MSC Seaside, and now I'm a Solo cruiser, and NCL is definitely on my radar as well... I love their port destinations versus MSC's Bahamas ports....
We went on Armonia a few years ago. We loved the food. We’re vegan and had loads of choices. The restaurant staff for our table in the sit-down dining room were from India and were excited to bring us all of their favorite Indian vegan dishes. Our room steward was wonderful. Of all the cruises we’ve taken, this was one of our favorites. We do like the smaller ships and would sail on this one again.
We just finished an early sailing on the new Celebrity Ascent which is the best adult type ship afloat. Price was good too. We ate at Tuscany three times and all three I had the following appetizers. Double Grilled Octopus and Escargot. All done superbly. I live in affluent South Florida and even here these appetizers are relatively hard to find and if you could would cost you 60 dollars or more and this does not include the entree or dessert. The food alone and beautiful atmosphere of the four restaurants was worth quite a lot of the raw price of the room. And the ship is magnificent. Tastefully very very modern and big but never felt crowded. Just my two cents. No flames please. PS This is our fourth Edge Class sailing and will take more. So should you.
Wow I would be in trouble! Thanks so much for the heads up! Cannot stand pasta in all its forms, and lasagne with greasy aubergine makes me feel sick even to look at. I can do pizza as long as it is thin crust and has no parmesan or pesto, those things that smell like vomit. But do they serve pizza, even?
I was on the Seascape last fall. Excellent price and Beautiful Ship. However, the Worse Food and Customer Service. Customer Service was not helpful and hostile towards guests. I had never seen so much food going into the trash. They make their crew sell so much product to you that the last night on the Ship they were still trying to sell Specialty dining. Ridiculous!! In the Thermal Suite most of equipment was broke. The Entertainment was Very Bad!!! This was the most boring ship that I had ever been on. I Will Never Travel With Them!!! Save your money. They left a bad impression on me
We did an 11 night cruise in December (2023) on the Davina. We waited in a long line outside to board the ship and didn’t get on until after 10 pm. They never gave us an explanation or bottles of water or food while standing in line! They compensated us $50 for our troubles. Not enough to ever want to go on MSC again. Food was hit or miss, mostly miss. We had 4 comedy/magic shows in the first 6 nights, although entertainment was good and the ship was beautiful. They need to have more included dinner options. More public restrooms. They only had one men’s and women’s bathroom stall for all the people at the buffet! And the only included dining options are the buffet or main dining room.
I do love MSC and have just booked my third one with them. But they do lack something that NCL and RC have..I just can’t put my finger on it! But they are such good value for money with drinks packages!
Did Meraviglia last June...Great ship! Not enough free eats. Only dining room and buffet. Would do it again in a couple years. I am pretty Loyal to Royal!
Just came back from Seascape.. the ship is stunning more bars & staff then I’ve ever seen on a cruise. Nice adults only pool.. tons of hot tubs & water options. Yacht Club has probably ruined me for life.. but the rest of the ship was fantastic as well..
Just finished a Royal Caribbean cruise after doing 3 MSC cruises last year. I needed another reference since we’ve only sailed with MSC since Covid. First comparison is the service staff is much better and faster on Royal Caribbean. And overall the food is slightly better with the exception of coffee and pizza. But for the price of a single interior balcony (Allure) I was able to booked 3 balconies with 6 people last year on MSC. Also the fact that Ocean Cay can only house one ship at a time limits the amount of people on their private island. Many parts of Ocean cay can still feel secluded. Coco Cay on the other hand is an absolute mad house and has the same feeling as a theme park. If you’re new to cruising or not basis, I believe you’ll probably really enjoy MSC. But if you’re an avid cruiser it may be underwhelming.
I enjoyed my first cruise on MSC. Have a short cruise to there private island Jan5 th and another cruise in March. I also went on celebrity cruise in Sept and enjoyed it but the money I paid could have done 3 cruises on MSC. So till I have a really bad experience I will stick with MSC.
Taking a weekender on msc out of Miami. Bought a basic interior cabin Bella. 2 adults 2 teens $1200 Canadian, a great deal. 3 days after booking they upgraded us free of charge to a balcony room and the rustica class. First time with Msc and already upgraded. Sailed with carnival 10 times… nothing.
@@NO-he2rq Some people for sure do have the money others may have, so some people who could not afford a balcony room on other shios may be able to do so on MSC. I enjoy seeing enjoy themselves. True some are over the top. I seen this though from everyone time to time from all nationalities. I am trying Holland in October just to see how I like it. It's not about the money for me it's about the experience, amenities, service and entertainment.
MSC is the reason I do cruise every two/three years. I am Spanish, cruised in Europe with other companies as well and MSC can be affordable most of times while not the others. I mean, for somebody with children that can´t/not want to spend a lot of money every couple of years. There are some things here in the video I think are wrong, like the marketing strategy to enter American routes when they do exactly the same here in Europe for many years. They normally CAN be cheaper. That is it. They give you the chance to be in an interior cabin, with no drinking packcage (it is nonse unless you drink a lot or you are mainly in the ship instead of visiting the destinations) paying no expensive exclusive restaurants and so, or, if you want so, to add all those things. It is true they press to sell a little bit more than other cruise lines, but just a little. All in all, it allows you to customize your cruise from a bottom level others do not offer (and it is still great)
The cruise itself might be cheap but if you don't live near a departing port you must add airfare and hotel fees as an extra. I mean if you pay as little as 150 for a cruise and you live in the midwest your going to pay atleast 300 or 400 for a rt flight plus the cost of the hotel. For that price you might as well fly.
we just came off the MSC seascape out of Port Canerveral....it was mid.....2.75 out of 5.....the ship itself was beautiful, but there were 5k plus people on it, and we thought the entertainment was awful, especially the music choices.....we took our 18 yr old son for his high school graduation gift, and he was not happy...he was bored AF....
We cruised on the Seaside last June and were not impressed. We wanted to go on the Wonder of the Seas, but it would have cost more than double the price of the MSC ship. When I saw the title of this video, my first thought about why they are so cheap was the poor service we experienced. I was happy to see that fewer staff was the first thing you mentioned in your video. We also thought the food quality was not up to cruise ship standards. We will not be using this cruise line in the future.
I've been on the new MSC Urubia on 13 th March to northern Europe so big and beautiful and very nice and fresh food , everythings so clean the washrooms are so clean and shinning I love MSC will go again
Nice Video. From your description here I would give them a chance. I usually book an inside cabin but I like to choose it's location. I guess I could try the lower priced option and bring my ear plugs just in case. I like Carnival, even though their older ships' inside cabins are a bit Spartan, but I only sleep there so it doesn't bother me. I would like to see a comparison of Carnival vs MSC before I book.
I love MSC. I was on MSC Simphonia, MSC Euribia, for New Year,s Eve I will go to MSC Fantasia, next year I will go to MSC Seawiew . On every ship I had the best vacation..Great ships, great crew.. After all trips in Europe I will go further. I want to travel the whole world with MSC.
I was an Uber driver, and I used. to pick up a lot of passengers from MSC. I heard the service is not very good, nor the food and the cruises left a lot to be desired
After this TH-cam video on MSC cruises, I cannot wait to try one. I have sailed on most other major cruise lines except Disney, I think my wife and I would enjoy MSC to try them out.
My first cruise MSC the food was very horrible they do not change out the foodThey do not change out the food to give you a variety of food the food was
Have cruised with MSC since it was completely Italian in 2000 and loved it, but since their ships became so huge, only the Yacht Club option will do now. Italians are known for Mom and Pop restaurants, but for mega ships cheaper options are either Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, , Holland America or Princess, , the Disney World American type of service or Norwegian, not MSC.
We booked our first MSC cruise last year, Mediterranean. Seashore is a beautiful ship and the evening shows excellent. Staff friendliness and food were both terrible. Still will give MSC Cruises a second chance next April. Hopefully it will be better!!
The cruise line with the worst food, they are master at recycling food, I have been on 5 msc cruises and said never again. Embarkation and disembarkation is chaos. It took 5 hours for embarkation on our last cruise from the time we arrived at the port until we eventually got onboard. The ship was 5 hours late on arrival and we were not informed until the morning 4 hours before our arrival and many passengers missed their flights.
Because they charge you for everything else. No extra meals in the main dining room. It’s an extra cost for more food. Even on the private island there’s charges for coffee and food in some places.
My best friend, a very seasoned world traveler and frequent cruiser, sailed MSC about a year ago and said of her 20+ cruises on multiple lines, MSC was the only one where she had a problem with a rowdy group of passengers and neither crew nor security would intervene. Even after several other passengers complained about the same group, nothing was ever done to make the majority of the paid passengers feel safe :( Cheap cruises often attract cheap clientele.
Interesting to read so many positive comments. Never sailed on MSC but have done 25+ cruises across various other lines. In the UK we see so many bad comments about MSC but these are almost always about European sailings where everything is in 6 languages and where politeness and queuing isn't as standard. Poor food, poor service and intrusive up-selling etc. But if paying cheap then ya gotta expect cheap. Certainly it seems the MSC experience out of the US is something we might consider,
I am an MSC regular mostly because of their cheap single supplements on top of the great base fares. Their ships are fantastic. The food is just "ok", their staff is AWESOME but the support, response and just about EVERYTHING else having to do with home office/Corp is the absolute WORST experience anyone could imagine!
Great video but wrong question. MSC far bigger and wealthier than Carnival or the rest having the second largest cargo etc fleet in the world. The question should be why are other cruise lines so expensive compared to MSC? But, then again why are any as high as they are after all they get everything that' is drinks, food etc duty and tax-free anyway. Their prices for drinks for instance are usually higher than on shore where retailers have in fact paid duty and taxes which cruise lines do not.
I sailed on 10+ cruises. The last one was a 7-day on MSC from NYC to the Bahamas, with my 13 year old son. Nice ship, good food, decent shows (Norwegian was better). One complaint was that the crow's nest was limited to 18+, so our favorite spot was unusable by us.
Another way MSC can save money is the businesses other then the cruise lines are pretty much recession proof and will make profits even if cruise lines in general take a hit. The constant upsetting does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
We have sailed MSC 3 times. First two were great. The 3rd time was poor. We found the staff to be stretched thin, inconsistent customer service (especially in the area of communication), shady accounting practices, ( difficult to get fund’s refunded) and poor experience talking to customer support on the phone. When all goes well, (fabulous ship) all is good and when it goes bad(the customer service is nonexistent. We had mistakes on our bill from Nov 2024 and they have yet to refund and give us many excuses
I’d been to an MSC cruise and was pissed off by the subpar dining room service. Also, all courses were so salty they seemed to be cooked with sodium chloride rich water from the Mediterranean 😂
Can I ask the price range?
It is indeed
Wowwww! I would love to go on a Solo MSC cruise.. How was the pricing???

So I will take my Yach Club cabin for the price of a Royal Caribbean balco y any day of the week.
Yes pizza and coffee is great...as well as the excellent breakfasts in the buffet. Pasta dishes, and fresh mozzarella so good!
They had free soft serve but the pay for gelato was way,way better. I had no issue paying for gelato everyday.
1st time MSC here and Looking forward to climbing onboard on 1/27… Bahamas here I come!
Please give me some advice. I want to go first time with MSC cruise, never been on a cruise before. I'm from Mauritius island
@@mohamedsaoudcruiseholidays not sure what kind of advice you are looking for but TH-cam has all kinds of first-time Cruiser tips
MSC Davina has free soft serve by the pool every day
I love MSC. I have sailed on three different ships Davina, Seascape and Seashore. And my favorites in that order. I have not had any problems with staff on either Ship nor any food complaints. I felt that Seashore staff was a little short. The staff worked very hard trying to keep up with everyone. I have no complaints. ❤
Try the Meraviglia
Some people that eat fast food everyday are the best at complaining. Crass and no class. It is exhausting to hear such stupid complaints like “a bird crapped on my balcony”. Yet that’s the people always complaining and so ungrateful for everything. I say, stay home. I have had zero problems with MSC. Always enjoyable.
Could you tell me how much it costed with food and drinks for the newest ship you took when you the time please?
@@MrArod I can refer you my travel agent because prices goes up and down.
I always book through her and she looks for all the discounts and if any on board credits you may get. I'm thinking around $1200 maybe a little more. But I always have my on board gratuities applied and all ports fees. So I pay one price for everything.
And I get balcony room. So that where the price can change. Also time of year you want to Cruise also affects prices. Yes if I can be any further assist let me know please. I love MSC.

@@monagoode176 thanks a lot
MSC Seascape is the best one yet! Sailed on her twice! Highly recommend. Great service. Great staff.
Your explanation of the business side of cruising was excellent and much appreciated.
At the end of the day - it is not the quality of the engineers that makes the difference between cruise lines but the level of professional competence of those who run the Hote/Resort /Gastronomy management on board.
Just sailed Europe on MSC over the holidays, a beautiful ship and overall a great experience.
Which ship ? I’m booked on my first MSC cruise on World Europa in July 2024. Can’t wait !
I have only been on one MSC cruise but it was a fantastic experience. The service was great. The food was good and the entertainment was different but I liked it. I will book more cruise on MSC when they start sailing out of Galveston
This was the best description of MSC that I have heard. Great work.
Coming from a carnival cruise line with 65 cruises with my diamond staus being matched at MSC has been an amazing experience . It is wonderful to try new experiences. The prices are priceless 😊 . Thank you for all this information.
same here
We have sailed twice on MSC, last year on Seascape and this year on Meraviglia.
Been cruising with MSC for about 8 years now, still my favorite here! Once they get more ships for the US they will take over.
yes they are headed for world domnation!!!!
I sailed MSC Seascape in Nov of 23. The ship was beautiful, service was very good, and our cabin was awesom! We did Arura package. I would sail MSC again.
SO. Food and drinks are extras?
We have been on 1 MSC cruise. It was last year on the Seascape. While the ship was beautiful, we found the food hit or miss, and there is only the main dining room and the buffet for included food options. We feel this just isn't enough.
Just be grateful.
The New MSC world America coming Spring 2025 will have other free food options 24hrs a day.
they have speciality dining too
I had a great trip with MSC Splendida from Durban ,SA, to Portuguese Is, Mozambique. It was an amazing experience.
Celebrity does that too.
@@isabellind1292 i agree with msc
i live on ship 4 months a year- i don't go for the food
I thoroughly enjoyed my cruise on MSC. I can't wait for my next cruise . See u soon MSC❤❤❤
It would be helpful to know what sort of activities are available as part of the basic package on the cheaper cruises.
same as all the others
I've done NCL, RC, Carnival, Holland America and MSC. They all have specific pros/cons. Cost is one of my big criteria. Looking at a Cruise for next Thanksgiving, MSC (~$2300 for 3 in balcony )was much cheaper then anyone else and I had to ask myself is it worth $1700 more for same iternary, same type room, only difference was ship amenities. At that price I couldn't justify the difference, I could almost go on a 2nd cruise with the price difference.
me too but add princess and celebrity. my faves in order: 1princess, 2ncl, 3msc and carnival tied, 4rc, 5celebriy and hal tied
Cruised MSC twice in last 12months, excellent VALUE. Best food, no - but definitely above average/ Best service, pretty damn good / Best entertainment, no - average. Only thin missing is 'Burger' type restaurants, but the Pizza @ Buffet is Excellent!
Was on MSC Euribia last year, absolutely fabulous, affordable family holiday. Would definitely recommend.
We found the same breakfast area and it was nice. the weather was great!@@chrisnotaro1525
i will be compared to what your used to
Went on first MSC cruise few weeks ago.
I’d be interested to hear about your comparison of the two lines
ncl is great but not the epic
We are really liking MSC.
We do like the smaller ships and would sail on this one again.
ditto
I have over 26 cruises with six different cruise lines. Sailed twice on MSC in Europe. MSC has great food and is a good cruise line.
They do lots of pasta. It’s an Italian company! They had many pasta choices plus the usual USA choices
Pasta not good, they do not even have an Italian restaurant,a big farce
Wow I would be in trouble!
Thanks so much for the heads up!
Cannot stand pasta in all its forms, and lasagne with greasy aubergine makes me feel sick even to look at.
I can do pizza as long as it is thin crust and has no parmesan or pesto, those things that smell like vomit.
But do they serve pizza, even?
@@anneoconnor8741 we loved the food. They have lots of pasta but we mostly ate other things
@@AlbertPolicano pasta is good - am i am italian. you must not be
I was on the Seascape last fall.
They left a bad impression on me
We made the mistake of pre-booking the whole week for the thermal suite only to find many of the features were inoperable.
I've cruised twice with MSC in the past, and will be cruising again end of this year.
We were on the MSC Splendida in the Mediterranean. We loved it. Going back next summer on the MSC Musica.
But if you’re an avid cruiser it may be underwhelming.
been cruising since 1986- 85 cruises over all major lines- i love msc and am not underwhelmed
I would love to take one of their cruises but only on their Yacht Club option which is considerably more expensive
Excellent and informative 👍🏼
I enjoyed my first cruise on MSC. Have a short cruise to there private island Jan5 th and another cruise in March. I also went on celebrity cruise in Sept and enjoyed it but the money I paid could have done 3 cruises on MSC. So till I have a really bad experience I will stick with MSC.
you won't have a really bad experience. i like them better than celebity summit. (bad)
I just came off Seashore. Loved it. It's the other Cruises that can or break a good cruise. Some are very rude. Especially at the buffets.
That’s why I avoid the buffet. I’ve witnessed too much rude and gross behavior and it isn’t limited to any one cruise line, either.
Unfortunately cheap prices bring some cheap people, this is why Royal Caribbean cruises don't lower their prices
All in all, it allows you to customize your cruise from a bottom level others do not offer (and it is still great)
My husband and I LOVE MSC! Hoping to get my daughter hooked with our MSC cruise next month with her and 2 of our grandkids.
Sailed on seascape , 10/2023. Yes, there can be more food options however my 1 week experience was outstanding!
Me and my family absolutely love MSC cruises, good food and drink package, also lots of fun things for the kids
I've been on the new MSC Urubia on 13 th March to northern Europe so big and beautiful and very nice and fresh food , everythings so clean the washrooms are so clean and shinning
I love MSC will go again
I have been on two of their ships so far working on third !
i been on 4 ships, many sailings
Looked at a MSC cruise for price and itinerary ( part of a world cruise). Schedule prevented taking it but it appeared to be a fantastic value.
I just started looking at cruise pricing- MSC costs for solo travel is almost unbelievable. I think I’ll try a shorter trip to start…
Hopefully it will be better!!
try divina
I love this channel!
Thank you for watching, Parker!
Nice honest review
The cruise line with the worst food, they are master at recycling food, I have been on 5 msc cruises and said never again. Embarkation and disembarkation is chaos. It took 5 hours for embarkation on our last cruise from the time we arrived at the port until we eventually got onboard. The ship was 5 hours late on arrival and we were not informed until the morning 4 hours before our arrival and many passengers missed their flights.
Because they charge you for everything else. No extra meals in the main dining room. It’s an extra cost for more food. Even on the private island there’s charges for coffee and food in some places.
If you need that much food, go to the buffet.
My best friend, a very seasoned world traveler and frequent cruiser, sailed MSC about a year ago and said of her 20+ cruises on multiple lines, MSC was the only one where she had a problem with a rowdy group of passengers and neither crew nor security would intervene. Even after several other passengers complained about the same group, nothing was ever done to make the majority of the paid passengers feel safe :( Cheap cruises often attract cheap clientele.
clientel way roudier on carnival
I just check on a balcony room for a 7 day cruise. It would cost 1200 pp. My balcony room on the harmony of the seas only cost me 2000 for two people.
My first cruise was nov 2023 on the Seashore the ship and price was amazing but the food really needs to improve, the food was the worst part
Certainly it seems the MSC experience out of the US is something we might consider,
The only con for MSC is the entertainment.
But if you cruise MSC out of their natural homeports (Europe) you will never be disappointed.
Taking a Royal Caribbean 9 day this summer… hope it’s not cheap feeling. Haven’t been on a cruise in 25 years.
Have not tried MSC but I think I would like Thanks
Great info!!!👍👏🏻😍
I am an MSC regular mostly because of their cheap single supplements on top of the great base fares. Their ships are fantastic. The food is just "ok", their staff is AWESOME but the support, response and just about EVERYTHING else having to do with home office/Corp is the absolute WORST experience anyone could imagine!
On an msc cruise last year, the ship refused to print a one page air ticket for me! Incredible but true!
Just went on MSC Seaside - cheap but the food was not good!
Another way MSC can save money is the businesses other then the cruise lines are pretty much recession proof and will make profits even if cruise lines in general take a hit.
The constant upsetting does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
This non-cruising MBA enjoyed this video. Subscribed, to check out some more of your content.
