Beth’s and Joe’s collaboration is heaven sent. These two are the best contemporary blues powerhouse there is. Both are supremely gifted artists that exude intense sole and passion.
I love your daughter’s response. She was consumed in the music and performances the whole time. That’s impressive for such a young child.
They are, in fact, both, global superstars. Their music, together or separately, requires a sophisticated ear.

Beth has paid her dues. IMO, she is the best female blues singer there is at this time. Joe Bonamassa was a child phenom and playing with B.B. King when he was twelve years old. My favorite blues guitarist is Stevie Ray Vaughn. Stevie was one of Joe’s biggest inspirations as was Jimmy Hendrix. Hendrix was a huge inspiration to Stevie Ray Vaughn as was Albert King. I have a large blues play list and Stevie Ray Vaughn’s, Joe Bonamassa’s and Joe’s and Beth Hart’s recordings are amongst some of my favorites.
I highly recommend that you react to Stevie Ray Vaughn’s cover tribute to Jimmy Hendrix’s song, “Voodoo Child”. Another would be Stevie live at El Macombo playing, “Texas Flood”.

Joe Bonamassa is a wonderful guitarist with years of experience! Beth Hart has a unique and powerful voice. She's had some hard experiences behind her but I think that she's back and doing better now? They're really great together and always put on a wonderful show. Joe is the new blues king who is keeping blues alive. Beth and Joe have 3 studio albums and 1 live album/cd together. Joe has 13 studio albums, 17 live albums, and 15 video albums in his catalogue. He also is a member of the hard rock super group Black Country Communion and is a member of th funk group Rock Candy Funk Party. He prefers performing in smaller venues but 1 of his legenary concert venues is The Royal Albert Hall.
They are both very famous solo artists. You were just lucky enough to hear them together.

I'm sure you've learned more about Beth, by now, since this was about a year ago, but let me tell you... I live in LA area, she's an LA girl, I've been a fan of hers since the late 90s, she won Star Search, had a Top hit with L. A. song, disappeared for a while, got big in Europe, came back, got sort of rediscovered when she sang with Jeff Beck (the song that you just listened to) at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012 for the Obamas. She's loveable crazy, very authentic, incredibly talented, Rock/Blues, getting more bluesy as she's getting older and her voice deepens a bit. She struggles with some mental health issues, and does talk about it how shaped her career and journey, but she's pretty straightened out by now. Happily married to her road manager husband for 20+ years (he's from Huntington Beach, CA). She's done albums with great guitarists like Bonamassa (here) and Jeff Beck, and Slash, but she has her own band she records and travels with. Her main & longest bandmate, her guitar player, Jon, is from my hometown. Still plays a lot in Europe and all over the world. I've seen her in dingy dirty Hollywood clubs and dive bars, even a small church, and in Vegas, and all the way to beautiful old theater venues. Probably have seen her live more than 20 times, lost count. I feel so so so fortunate. She is one of a kind she's one of those that slipped through the cracks of popular music, but I've never met anybody (except for my EX) who didn't fall madly in love with her the first time I introduced her to them! Your daughter is angelic! And she has great taste! Anyhow, came across this and loved watching you guys react to my favorite singer, so I subscribed and I'm going to check out some more of your stuff!
Toss that 8 ball out LOL.....Beth Hart has such an amazing back story, one that will break your heart and lift you up at the same time. I hope you have read up on her story by now and listened to much more of her music. She has hundreds of thousands of fans world wide. She is a true artist with a heart of gold. Joe is one of the best guitar players on this planet. Together they are an amazing duo. If you get the chance to see either of them live, you will be walking on a cloud for days and if you see them perform together, then you have truly been blessed :)
Joe's the best singer, song writer and guitarist that people have never heard of, his concerts at Royal Albert Hall are epic!! Beth's not to shabby either!!

Beth is the Stevie Ray Vaughan of vocalists. Raw, emotional, soulful, full of passion..
Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart are plenty famous. Both of them have multiple grammy noms and wins. Joe in particular is wicked famous for both his guitar playing and for his singing. Once again you got to a artist heavily into blues with Joe and Beth. They made 4 albums together and I know at least one of them (Black Coffee) won at the grammys. Joe has put out loads of albums and sells out everywhere he plays. He's done Wembly, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and all the major world venues and has shared the stage with all the great guitar players like Clapton, Beck, etc.
In all fairness, their fame is more of a niche one among fans of blues and blues-rock rather than mainstream fame. They are terrific and they are certainly famous among other musicians but most people have never heard of them. It is an unfortunate part of the current music industry that manufactured crap is promoted over real musicianship.
Beth has been nominated only once for a Grammy award and that was with a project with Joe called Seesaw. Joe Bonamassa has been nominated twice. The other one was for a live performance.
Have watched that video, dozens of times. Beth and Joe throw tons of emotion into that performance.
I especially liked how locked in the Critter got. You may have a Blues Child on your hands. (which isn't a bad thing). May have to introduce her to the likes of, *"The Band"* and *"Stevie Ray Vaughn"* , *"Johnny Diesel"* , soon, (then maybe some *David Wilcox* , *Colin James* , *Stray Cats* , *George Thorogood* , *Johnny Lang* ,etc)

I had heard a Joe Bonamassa because he's incredible probably one of if not the best guitarist working in the Blues genre in the world today. Last year I found the same exact video you just watched, and had the same exact reaction how is this woman not the most world famous singer on the planet? I became obsessed with her music. She has a remarkable backstory. Overcoming all kinds of addictions, mental illness, ups and downs in her career, look it up it's really really inspiring. I had never found your channel but I love to watch People's First Reactions to Beth. ( and quite frankly I looked at the thumbnail and your daughter is so adorable oh, I had to click on it!) Play this back and watch your own eyes the moment Beth opens her mouth. That is literally the reaction of every single reactor that is ever watched this video. I never heard Beth sing before. Joe, He's been around for years and has always been awesome. He makes that guitar talk to you. I was as captivated as your little girl.
She has been in the public eye since 1993 when she won on Star Search. Her original song she sang on that show, Am I The One is still sung by TV singing contestants around the world. Another song that went viral was a song called Bang Bang Boom Boom which was translated into Vietnamese by a Vietnamese singer and was popular for TV singing contestants in that country. Beth's music can also be heard at skating tournaments.

I don't know if you have ever heard of a South Korean singer named So Hyang but she'll give you goosebumps, too, guaranteed. She is not K-Pop. She is a Gospel and classic pop singer and is the best female voice I've ever heard. And I'm 63 so I've heard more than a few. She refuses to sign with any record labels because she is concerned that would ruin her relationship with God. So I'd be surprised if you have even heard of her but she sings like she is from another planet! She's 43 now but everyone from David Foster to Michael Bolton have worked with her in South Korea and Japan when they were there--and call her a virtuoso. She sings in perfect English. I love both of your faces as you listen to this beautiful Etta James cover. I love Beth so much, especially with Joe. Beth is a national treasure that has been through Depression and Addiction. She also was a Star Search winner back in the 80's. Joe is perhaps the greatest living Blues/Rock guitarist on the planet today. His last 22 albums have all gone to the top of the Billboard Blues Album chart. He commits a good deal of his time and effort in keeping the Blues alive. Me and my brother would go to this jazz club in New York called Green Street and the singers were amazing and we wondered why they weren't famous, just the way you feel about these people.
Beth singing "Am I The One?" at El Paradiso is one that will leave you reaching for a towel. NOT for wee Charlotte, though. The performance is definitely ADULT-ONLY, but an absolute must-see. " Coffee" and "Something's Got a Hold on Me" are great, upbeat songs I think you'll both love.

Beth is my idol. Greatest singer ever in my opinion. Just dive into her whole catalog. She is a ridiculously good songwriter. I even have her face tattooed on my arm. Just a phenomenal person and musician. Great reaction. And if you get around to checking out the amazing performance of Am I the One at Paradiso (she was much younger and had just gotten clean), don't have your daughter with you. She drops a bomb or 2.

One of the most intense songs by her is her song "Am I The One" live at paradiso but she uses language in it that is adult. ]:P when she's leading up to the song talking and partway into the song. another great Beth and Joe song is I'll Take Care of You they did a couple albums together Beth got her start in LA in the 90's she was on Star Search and won it in 1994. she got heavy into drugs and had mental issues and ended up in a hospital.she recovered from it to rebound Joe Bonamassa is one of the friends that helped her along with her husband and producer.Joe has an annual Blues Cruise that usually has a number of Blues stars and has been a music producer that bucked the industry and got big on his own away from the labels that wanted to control what he could and couldn't do. He appeared with B.B. King onstage when he was 14.

they ARE world renowned... as blues musicians. Unfortunately the blues just doesn't chart on pop stations usually. They've both won multiple blues awards. While they can both sing and play guitar, Beth as a vocalist and Joe as a guitarist are actively two of the best currently alive. Joe also has an INCREDIBLE guitar collection and actually tours and plays (as he is in this video) with guitars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Both amazing with very long careers. Joe is younger but began touring as a pre-teen in the late 80s. Beth's career began in the early 90s. welcome along ;)

Wow, Charlotte has great taste in music, she was into it. I'm glad you found these guys. Beth has a load of hurt and trauma to pull all that soul from. My understanding is that she started strong, but she was dropped from her record label when bipolar reared its head and drugs got in the way. Her childhood experiences didn't help. She is clean now and she is a force. I believe it was Joe who gave her the chance to get back onstage and they have amazing chemistry. Check out I'll Take Care Of You and You Belong To Me which is beautifully , sadly personal.
Actually, Beth's husband helped her through the years to get clean and stay on her meds. Joe caught one of her concerts and begged her to do a blues concert with him. Before that, she had done a little blues, but more hard rock and roll. She does more overseas than here.

Look at the documentaries and interviews, (find the time, you will thank me) This will be a rabbit-hole you will be glad to have descended, believe me.
