I too have lived what she lived through I was a severe alcoholic drinking to the point of almost dying I was in liver failure when I got to the hospital the doctors didn't have much hope but I hit my knees and I made a deal with God if you would let me live I would turn my life over to him I am happy to say I am now 5 years clean and sober and I absolutely love this song I Love You Beth❤❤❤

So I lived it every day down to the very core of my soul. Even when she walked out and left me to raise our incredible daughters on my own. Not her fault. Sometimes I listen to Beth and think an accident has happened, that Beth never meant to reveal so much and I start to feel disappointment that someone is going to find out and cut the song before it finishes. So I lay low and pray I get to hear the whole thing. So far, the prayers have worked. No, I dont have to know the "inners" of anything, its the way the story is told that may mean more. I have no idea why she isn’t being played way more on radio? She is amazing so much soul so much pain with nothing to enhance her voice she is Mic to Pa. She’s one of a handful.

You can instantly recognize when someone sings, whether it’s authentic and truthful. Beth is authentic every single time. No matter what she sings, you get ALL of her. I love her and her music!

Hey Michael. Dunno why but I feel like I need to leave a reply to your message. Not bipolar myself, but my ex-wife and mother of my beautiful children was/is. So I lived it every day down to the very core of my soul. Even when she walked out and left me to raise our incredible daughters on my own. Not her fault. It's everything good and bad about life, magnified 1000X, yeah? But Beth captures it *all* in her music, and this performance especially. It's...just...a beautiful gut-wrenching piece of ART. SO real and heartfelt and honest. For all the people suffering with any kind of mental illness and feeling like they're "not good enough", I hope they find this music and find power in it. ❤

I'm 73 years old and I've been following Beth Hart for a long time and I never thought I'd see her in concert but I just got wind of her going to perform in Hershey Pennsylvania October 2nd I tell you this my dad don't have a lot of money but I'm going to find some way take it out of my social security check and I will be there one way or another when Beth sings I've never heard anybody put out feeling from in side like she does oh I'm sorry I should say she is in the same class as the great Janice Joplin. 😎

I first heard her in the fall of 1999 when she had a pop radio hit with “L.A. Song.” Then I kind of forgot about her until just a few days ago when this song came up on one of my daily Spotify playlists. I’ve been listening to her constantly since!

Is she a Christian? She references God and Jesus a lot in her songs, yet she’s nothing like those CCM artists. Her faith and passion run deep in all her songs. I’m not bashing CCM, some of it is really good, but her music is so much more raw and poignant than any of it.

I still come. Sometimes I listen to Beth and think an accident has happened, that Beth never meant to reveal so much and I start to feel disappointment that someone is going to find out and cut the song before it finishes. So I lay low and pray I get to hear the whole thing. So far, the prayers have worked. No, I dont have to know the "inners" of anything, its the way the story is told that may mean more. It does for me. I hope that Beth always feels and believes that there is a limit --- the height of the sky.
