I lost my mother five days after my 18th birthday. She had a lot of demons, many that kept us apart. She wasn't around much but i always tried to see her as much as i could and her the same. I just happened to stumble across this song and all i thought of was my beautiful momma, and how i wish i could send her this song to give her even a glimpse of hope. She didn't deserve many of the things that happened to her, and i won't ever forget the amazing memories i had with her. I knew Beth personally back during the bad times. They were bad for me too. She was my bestie's girl and would come to our house and use our piano. She was inspiring, and her personal strength was intimidating. I have tickets to see her in February, and I wish it was possible to have a few words, but that won't happen. Some of us made it out. So I lived it every day down to the very core of my soul. Even when she walked out and left me to raise our incredible daughters on my own. Not her fault. It's everything good and bad about life, magnified 1000X, yeah? But Beth captures it *all* in her music, and this performance especially. It's...just...a beautiful gut-wrenching piece of ART. SO real and heartfelt and honest. For all the people suffering with any kind of mental illness and feeling like they're "not good enough", I hope they find this music and find power in it. ❤

I lost my mother five days after my 18th birthday. She had a lot of demons, many that kept us apart. She wasn't around much but i always tried to see her as much as i could and her the same. I just happened to stumble across this song and all i thought of was my beautiful momma, and how i wish i could send her this song to give her even a glimpse of hope. She didn't deserve many of the things that happened to her, and i won't ever forget the amazing memories i had with her. Beth Hart is truly a touching artist and i hope her inspiration and flame never goes out ❤

I still come. Sometimes I listen to Beth and think an accident has happened, that Beth never meant to reveal so much and I start to feel disappointment that someone is going to find out and cut the song before it finishes. So I lay low and pray I get to hear the whole thing. So far, the prayers have worked. No, I dont have to know the "inners" of anything, its the way the story is told that may mean more. It does for me. I hope that Beth always feels and believes that there is a limit --- the height of the sky.

I just lost my sister couple days ago and one her her dear friends ask me if she could sing this at her services. At that time I had never heard this song and have never listened to Beth Hart. Well I have now listened to this song prob a hundred times and I cry every single time. This is such a beautiful song and truly says so much and reminds me so much of my sister and I am honored that Miss Brandi wants to sing this for my sister.
