Hello! I have been watching a couple of videos on this topic, as I want to learn Broomstick stitch. Your tutorial is the easiest one... Language is easy to follow and the length of the video is short enough to learn without getting bored! Thanks for sharing!!

That would take me an eternity. Lovely video, making it look easy, even if it is incredibly fiddly

My Mom made several Afghans with thiuis stitch, but she used an actual broom stick that Daddy widdled one end for her. Each of my girls received an Afghan for Christmas one year. Really pretty stitch.

JUST A TIP - FOR BIG BLANKETS I USE A PIECE OF PVC PIPE AND PUT TAPE ON ONE END SO IT DOESN'T SLIDE OFF

WOW; this...I understand. Started broom stick years ago but pulling up loops from SC first row, even after turning this into a drinking game, was tedious. I am re inspired. THNX

Thanks for the great tutorial! It was very easy to understand and the background music was a nice touch but not conflicting with your instructions. I actually briefly put my ear to my phone while you weren't talking to see if there was any other audio (I wasn't using headphones) and when you spoke again, it almost hurt my ears, lol. I also love the simple white background, it makes it a lot easier to see the stitches then the majority of tutorials I found. I've been wanting to make a scarf with broomstick lace for a while now but have never invested into the oversized knitting needles because I couldn't find a tutorial I liked. Now I'll definitely buy a pair so I can try this out finally! :D

If you are working on a bigger baby blanket that you can let the the loops go off of the big needle. The loops do not fall apart. It is easier that way.

In this tutorial the work is not turned (not right or wrong sides). I just watched a similar video where the work was turned after the first row. So it's your own preference what to do.

How do I make something bigger out of this? Do I have to have a "broomstick" or "yarn needle" the length of the project I want to make? I think this would make a beautiful newborn blanket. Thanks!

I'm going to use mine for something like this
      www.threadsmagazine.com/2013/12/03/how-to-sew-a-sweater-using-knitted-fabrics
Otherwise, scarves and shawls is what this lace is traditionally used for.

It is 😱! Lol. I tried it twice and had to put it down. I got a short 25mm needle and I should have gotten the long ones! It's so pretty but I'm not going to be able to do this stitch and get it done by Christmas! Lol
