    Hello, I have a question, I recently bought a unit, configure it as the video says and it works, however the output LEDs do not work and it does not send any DMX signal. I tried to use 3 programs: Freestyler, ShowExpress and GrandMA 2. I am omitting a step or the unit that Is it defective?

    This is a great device and very easy to setup and use. However, it appears that there is some timeout issue where there is no output to the DMX. I'm using Lightkey and on initial startup it can't find the node with a try again option. It then connects just fine and works great but occasionally the output just stops working. Is the device faulty or is there an idle timeout setting somewhere? Seems to be the latter when there is no activity.

      Hmm...you might have a bad unit, we sell a lot of these and it's the first we've heard of this

      I got fed up with this and since the AN2 is not on the Lightkey supported list anyway I ditched it and put in a DMXKing - works like a charm.

    I’m so frustrated! My computer can see the device, I’ve put it in the configuration you have demonstrated, but without completing those extra fields you left blank, I cannot save the settings. I am on a Windows computer. Any help is appreciated.

    I have 3 pcs Xpress-512S and 2 pcs DMX-AN 2. Please help how to configure the system to have 5 or 6 Universes. Please help. Please!!! How configurated IP Adress on AN2 (1) i AN2 (2)? Please Help!!!

    Do you have a video on how to register for chauve showexpress I can't get past this question The last name of the president of the USA + 3 characters for the standard for stage lighting control + the character '&' + the character '/' (total = 10 characters):

    Hi. I’m a mobile DJ and I purchased one of these a few years ago but couldn’t get it to work. Does this work with programs like adj my dmx bridge or Chauvet show express? I own both. If not, what software do I need to get? Or am I just wasting my time? Thanks in advance.

      This will work with any lighting software that outputs Art-Net. Every software is difference and has difference licensing rules, whether it will work or not. There are a lot of great options, LightKey is one we recommend often.

    So I followed directions. Afterwards I can not reconnect to AN2. Is that normal?

      Make sure you put your computer that is in the same IP address range as the new IP address. That's the biggest mistake we see people make.

    when I try to edit the Ip Settings a "Can't save IP settings. check one or more settings and try again" message appears

      You must be entering something that is incomplete...either reach out to your dealer (which could have been us!) or Chauvet Tech support and they should be able to help you.
