I’m a spark driver I can sit in a Walmart and watch a group of Hispanics in 4 vehicles I never receive 1 order and I watch these people get shopping orders after shopping order and I know because I follow them in the store and watch them they go out to the car give another person the phone and they drive away. Always has 2 phones. Why are they getting all the shopping orders when I don’t even get a ping? All I get is the express shopping orders that have a 60 sec timer Walmart does not give them express orders. It’s pretty obvious that something is not right the workers in the store knows there’s a problem but have no power to fix it. We can’t know if there illegals but something is wrong here. I’m not angry because they are getting all the orders but it seems suspicious that I’m sitting in the Walmart parking lot with the app on and never get a shopping order and watching these same people getting order after order continuously and the person picking the order doesn’t deliver it
Anyone who is not vetted and does not have background check, should not be driving and delivering. Doesn't matter if they are Latino, Russian, African, Indian Pakistani or otherwise. Anyone caught renting their account to an unvetted driver should be deactivated.
Just had my groceries delivered by illegal immigrants today. A Wal-Mart Spark driver the other day actually yelled at one of the guys who he believed to be an illegal immigrant. He said he had seen his image under different names. This is Vancouver, WA. Any idea what options he has? The government has got to take action. That bipartisan border bill in the Senate was a really good start, that would've forced asylum seekers to stay out of America while waiting for their case to be heard. Would've been a massively good start.

The ones in my area use multiple phones and are driving temp dealer tags. Many will come out of the store from a shopping order ,then bag items while loading their cars and many are from other countries. I know this from asking where they are from.They don't speak a lick of English

I did not get an item and I tried to tell them and all they do is shrug their shoulders and say "no English no English!" I called Walmart numerous times and yelled at them! Plus the fact my groceries got delivered to the wrong house one time so now I signed for my delivery and they better get it right! I somewhat agree with you moo, I'm latino born and raised here and some of these comments and assumptions are getting out of hand and going too far. It's obvious some people just have an agenda but that doesn't mean it's not a serious problem. I've spoken to tons of spark drivers who admit they're using purchased or rented accounts and it's not that they just have 1 account they have 3 or 4 sometimes as many as five accounts all running at the same time and always parked exactly on the dot at curbside. They bring along their buddies and you have 4 or 5 people all working as a crew constantly switching phones and cars between each other, the dispensers know because different drivers always show up under different names and when stores try to implement ID checks corporate tells them they're not allowed to do that. I think that's where the frustration is with drivers, walmart says that's not allowed but then when it happens right in front of their face they don't do anything about it.

As the person who gathers and preps these orders, I always wondered how Walmart was going to tackle this issue. Before spark, DoorDash had the same problem which we would quickly ban, and even then the banned drivers would show up with a new account a day or two later as if nothing happened. It’s not that all immigrants are bad, in fact, plenty of our drivers (and team for that matter!) are immigrants and play a part in getting these out, and do it flawlessly, but I have hands down seen and know that illegals are more likely to not be able to communicate with us, steal items from the orders, or break rules/not follow instructions for delivering (probably because of a language barrier). With DoorDash, it had gotten so bad we started to take pictures of the individuals and pin them next to our dispense exit. It’s a hard issue to tackle and I hope they find a fair solution, as it really does make my store and team look terrible when these drivers screw up.
I can't say who is or isn't illegal but I have had many come deliver to me on instacart that couldn't speak English. One said it was a man delivering but a woman showed up and it showed half of my 20 item order was out of stock. Yesterday I was waiting for a Doordash order and I saw a man with 3 Doordash bags in his trunk. I asked him if he did Doordash and he said he didn't speak English. Then he got out of one car and got into another and drove off. He was alone in both cars.

I've been on the waiting list for spark for over a year, they aren't letting unlimited amount of people to sign up they do stop letting people sign up. It seems oversaturated because people are using multiple accounts.

I’m latina and I’m pretty positive they are latinos for the most part. It’s really not hard to assume if anything. We’ve become a lot more in the states and also most latinos I know do a lot of these apps because of opportunity for easy money + the language barrier

Instacart has this going on. Customers are mad at the moldy produce they are getting. Stores love them. When you watch them shop they dont even look...just grab and throw in cart. I'm sure from my experience doing spark ( over 5000 ) they're speaking of you sitting in your car for 4-6 hours and you see that same individuals shopping all day, from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. back to back or picking up crub sides back to back while you sit for hours, DAYS at a time. I just feel you comprehend that into your own version instead of what you read.

The only way to reduce thos issue is if Walmart required ID checks when picking up any curbside and shopping orders.

Most are only here to make money and go back, which essentially proves they're not here for "asylum" . It took my father 7 years to bring my grandparents here legally. As the person who gathers and preps these orders, I always wondered how Walmart was going to tackle this issue.
Before spark, DoorDash had the same problem which we would quickly ban, and even then the banned drivers would show up with a new account a day or two later as if nothing happened.
It’s not that all immigrants are bad, in fact, plenty of our drivers (and team for that matter!) are immigrants and play a part in getting these out, and do it flawlessly, but I have hands down seen and know that illegals are more likely to not be able to communicate with us, steal items from the orders, or break rules/not follow instructions for delivering (probably because of a language barrier). With DoorDash, it had gotten so bad we started to take pictures of the individuals and pin them next to our dispense exit.
It’s a hard issue to tackle and I hope they find a fair solution, as it really does make my store and team look terrible when these drivers screw up.

I can't say who is or isn't illegal but I have had many come deliver to me on instacart that couldn't speak English. One said it was a man delivering but a woman showed up and it showed half of my 20 item order was out of stock. Yesterday I was waiting for a Doordash order and I saw a man with 3 Doordash bags in his trunk. I asked him if he did Doordash and he said he didn't speak English. Then he got out of one car and got into another and drove off. He was alone in both cars.

I’m latina and I’m pretty positive they are latinos for the most part. It’s really not hard to assume if anything. We’ve become a lot more in the states and also most latinos I know do a lot of these apps because of opportunity for easy money + the language barrier

Also, I’ve been doing this for 2 years strictly Spark. My first year I made $80k delivering for Spark. Guess how much I made last year as a full time driver ???? $23k . Then you sit up there talking about there isn’t a BOT. Something strange is happening and it wasn’t like this until a new group of people appeared. The old drivers sit hours and hours with no orders. However, the new group of people are continuously getting orders back to back. Even the Walmart employees say, that person had a different name yesterday. So how are we so wrong for assuming there are BOTs and Illegals running the game. We put our work in to assume this.

Instacart has this going on. Customers are mad at the moldy produce they are getting. Stores love them. When you watch them shop they dont even look...just grab and throw in cart. The license plate does not mean they are legal. You can be illegal and get license in certain states. The ones in my area are tatted and some dress provocative. Multiple phones and 4 orders on a cart.....the most ive seen on a order is 2 at a particular store. Customers are also complaining about person in app not being person who delivers and they know. Instacart has lost a lot of good tipping customers over this. Its not racist .....its true.

I'm sure from my experience doing spark ( over 5000 ) they're speaking of you sitting in your car for 4-6 hours and you see that same individuals shopping all day, from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. back to back or picking up crub sides back to back while you sit for hours, DAYS at a time. I just feel you comprehend that into your own version instead of what you read.
