    Old video but have used cheetah and I do like it, I like to use tape to pull the protective film. I do wish they used a thinner protection like 2080. Then you can wrap with protection on and then pull when done. The protection is the only issue I don’t like. And your right having it tunnel on the roll is a bummer as I pull and cut production off roll and then roll is back on core when I use it in the vinyl cutter.

    • @WrapSesh
      @WrapSesh  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would love to start using one of those digital rendering programs. We are horrible with a computer so we use designers to render a colorchange if the customer requests it and wants to pay for it. I am looking forward to Avery's launch of their rendering program that they sneak peeked at Sema. Could be very helpful in selling a color change!

    How does cheetah “satin grey” compared to 3m “dark grey metallic”?

  • @twicepast7
    @twicepast7 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How does this handle in a hot environment? The only place I have to wrap is my garage (in Florida) and the heat/humidity cause tons of problems. For example 3M doesn't tack, it like superglues itself to the substrate as soon as it makes contact.

    • @WrapSesh
      @WrapSesh  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you. Double check the facts on their site, but I believe the ideal temperatures for install is between 70-80F. We installed this film in November so it's not hot or humid right now. But with all films, I have experienced issues in extreme heat or humidity as it gets the adhesive over activated and the material just wants to curl up on itself; it stretches too much and you get more adhesive lines. Cant say what this film will do in that scenario, but I would hope the low tack aspect would make it a more minimized issue.

    It's funny you mention Arlon. We do ,mostly commercial wraps and have used their new SLX material. I believe Arlon is manufacturing this film. The adhesive is exactly like SLX but even more low tac. The box it ships in is Arlons box style and labeling. I am on the fence with it. I had a hard time getting it to tac even with heat and pressure. I didn't try too hard though. Nice finishes though.

      I think you have a biased opinion as you are throwing any shade you can. They provided us film and paid us to spend a week wrapping a full car. Not to do a video with fake opinions. One week of our time is very valuable , as we are setting aside our customers and current schedule. Our opinion is as an installer trying the film for the first time on a full wrap. It's as real as it gets. We actually pay someone to make the videos so that's out of our pocket.
