How dare people be rude about your art! They have no understanding of you as you are so talented. I suppose all of us are our worst critic. These critical people should know that you overcome so many peoples fear of not producing a perfect painting and having fun. Bless you and keep carrying on just as you are!! Just look what you have done today making something interesting from a mediocre photo,, fantastic!
It's impressive how quickly you did this. I'm ADHD so if it feels like it's going to take a long time that can be a huge hurdle to overcome. This looks quick and easy. It makes the idea of art everyday accessible. Lovely!
I was surprised that u left the tree line white! At first i thought why? But in fact i actually like the lightness it brings and how it lets u focus on the sky and field. Lovely!
Thanks (again) for making art and mark-making accessible to all. I'm loving following your 'lessons' and producing images that sure satisfy me, and 1 or 2 others...
Como de costumbre! Estupendo y bello! " Llaneza, muchacho! Don Quijote" Cervantes. As usual! Stupendous and beatiiful. "Natralness, boy" Don Quixote. Cervantes. A greeting from Spain.
The first time I saw continuous line, I thought "cool, I'm not using that, but looks interesting." Then, after doing a batch of pictures for a project I'm working on, I found myself doing one part of a picture using a continuous line without thinking about it. It just felt right! lol. So, definitely try it, even if it is just in one part of a picture, it's quite refreshing!
The good thing about art is that you can find a style that suits you. I have had a go at thight botanical through to abstract with no drawing. I like Toby’s style because I can do an ink drawing and then create lovely watercolour effects! 😄Gwen
Hello Toby 😊 another lovely piece...you have inspired me to try and do a quick sketch every day...and then... when I have time, i add colour to them... something like this i think needs Paint and pen at the same time xx
I looked in your pens and ink supply list on your website but you didn't mention what kind of ink you use in your pen. Is all fountain pen ink waterproof? I wouldn't think so.

Who’s been rude?
People are allowed their opinions, but yes I think sometimes people say things on the keyboard the wouldn't say in person
One word: LOVE!!
Exquisite 👍🏻 Takes courage to leave white space - I would put this painting on my wall, thank you for showing it.
You’re welcome 😊
I love the idea of one line drawing. I should do it kore often, if only for the practice.
Love this Toby! I love your art, it is so pure and joyful. Thank you for sharing your gift.
great video, your videos are inspirational and refreshing!!!
I'm so glad!

Wow, thank you!
Lovely abstract landscape. I love it, especially those trees in the mid ground. They look ‘otherworldly’ and quite startling. Gorgeous. 👍😃
Thank you! Cheers!
Brilliant. You basically made something out of nothing! The finished sketch is lovely. 😊
Thank you so much 😀

Wowzers! My creative muse just exploded with joy! Love this and thank you for sharing this with us. 🙏🏼💕
I learn so much from your ability to simplify the scene and self control to keep from looking too busy.
Happy to hear that!
I love the continuous line sketches. I need to do more of these as they help me think differently. I would love another simple one line tutorial.
The first time I saw continuous line, I thought "cool, I'm not using that, but looks interesting." Love it! Great video.
Thanks so much!
Love the simplicity and accessibility of this.
Thanks 😊👍
Thanks mate. I really enjoy your explanations. It is helping me make sense of how to go about this in a step-by-step manner.
Thanks Toby - really enjoy your approach to simplifying a landscape but not loosing the essence of the vista.
Everything about this is relaxing. Bob Ross vibes.
Haha thanks

How do you decide what will be negative space?
Often I leave the distance negative
That does look like a typical Swedish view. :)
it is because of you that I started to have a sketchbook and be loose
@TobySketchLoose you surprised us again ! what do you think of a lite wash for the big trees on left ?
Could work for sure!

Sketch ink by rohrer and Klinger or carbon ink by platinum
