    Ok Toby, here we goooo! I'm 62, recently retired in USA. Found your channel by chance. I have ordered a Lamy F. Pen and a bottle of Platnium ink. Gonna give this thing a whirl! Thank you for inspiring me! Cheers!

    Thank you Toby. I started doing art 9 years ago having hated it at school in the 1960s! Which put me off ever trying. I never thought I could draw let alone apply paint but love it now just lack imagination. I find your tutorials inspirational and freeing up. And I’ve just remembered I have a dip pen somewhere I must now go and find and buy some magazines to cut up! Thank you so much. Pity you don’t do live workshops ???

    “Making decisions”! We all do it but I, for one, rarely think about my thinking/decisions! Another great video, keep them coming!

    I've only been painting a few weeks and on a whim I bought a glass dip pen and I was surprised how natural it felt to use it I actually like it better than a pencil

    Thanks for sharing. Great to have a fresh perspective. 😁 (pun intended). I love the idea of mixing things up. Creating art just for yourself is key. ❤️

    Have a play day! Best advice ever. A good way to release the pressure we put ourselves under to create a master piece or nothing at all.

    Oohhh. Thanks for this! Really great to be reminded of some things that I have done in the past, as well as introduced to some other ideas! I’m very keen on exploring the use of collage and abstract, especially after seeing your explanation and use of these techniques. You’ve made them look fun and have approached them in different ways to what I normally see. So again, thanks heaps!

    Love the coffee mug, is it available for sale? Also--Sprite works quite well with watercolors, as I found out on a recent flight (oops). Note to self...never put the water pot next to your drink.

      I'm afraid it's not... I did think about it for a while but posting out mugs I decided wasn't in my skillset! I might work out a way to do it soon ☺️

    Looks like you are switching from Lamy pen to TWSBI pen? I just ordered a TWSBI 580 that I will dedicate to drawing with permanent ink.
    PS: i love the using toothpicks. I love TWSBI for writing but have been VERY nervous about putting permanent ink into them… picking one pen just for this will make it easier, I think.

    • @TobySketchLoose
      @TobySketchLoose  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I'm gradually finding the weight of the pen and the smoothness of the ink flow mornefun

    Inspirational, as always. It's always good to be reminded of these things as to forget as you get carried away with the subgect matter, also, I love using collage and incorporate it into a lot of my paintings/drawings.
