"Full of" isn't too accurate, it's still super rare, but yeah it's a place you don't want water up your nose.
NZ rivers sadly are the opposite of clean and green once you’re far from mountains, too much cow / sheep poo and nitrate from fertilisers into the streams.

Ben and Adam sarcastically saying they were glad they weren’t making cheese (32:13) followed by Toby actually being glad they weren’t at the falls eating cheese (32:23) to the transition into the Snack Zone (32:30) and ending with a cancellation of the Snack Zone (32:44) had me laughing so hard, that is a masterclass of comedic timing!

Im a competitive person like Sam but damn i Love Ben and Adam and how they are just making the most of it with this trip instead of just taking it completely competitively
I dont know, Toby being there actually does make it seem like they take way better decisions that actually allow them to enjoy more. Best example off the top of my head was the compliments thing they did at the top of a hill, they didnt seem to rush at all.

@@Pyxyty i think that toby is actually just as competitive as sam is but she manages to calm sam down with decisions. I do think Sam is having more fun than in previous seasons but the watching all previous seasons you can tell ben and adam are just doing routes that are more fun for them than actually being competitive

another fact no asked for : brain eating amoebas are actually very common and are found in swimming pools, ponds, lakes, rivers, oceans.

@@AdvikTekkieTalk And that's a new reason as to why I don't go to pools, ponds, lakes, rivers or oceans (the last 3 I'm fine with as long as I'm on a boat) (the actual reason is that I don't like water that's been shared or with animals in it, the only pool I go in is the one in my own house)

I would have an idea for a new game from you.
You play capture the flag around the world or in a much smaller area. Each team then gets a photo of the flag to have an approximate idea of the target position.
Each team starts with a coin amount and with coins you can buy hints for the position of the enemy flag or time in a car/plane/train.
But also Power Ups, with which you can damage the opposing team, as you already do, are possible to acquire.
Challanges allow you to earn new coins, but you are only allowed to do a certain number of challanges in a certain radius, so teams are forced to travel with guesses in certain directions.
The blocking radius is reset as soon as the team leaves it. If you fail a challenge you will be penalized with a timeout, but you will not lose a challenge for the radius. Only passed challenges are considered here.
The team that returns the opposing flag to the starting point first is the winner.

OK but please tell me Ben and Adam were aware that they shouldn't put their head underwater at Kerosene Creek because once that pop-up came up and they stayed there saying 'why is no-one here?' I was so worried one of them was gonna do it
They didn't know until they got home.
Apparently a lot of people still go there because it's common knowledge to many who know not to put their heads underwater + it's still rare to get infected

@@MysteriousBeingOfLight there are brain-eating amoebas in that water. Infection is rare, even if you put your head under, but it's entirely possible and is deadly.

PLEASE use this board game idea again in a future season but in a different country :) it's so far one of my favorite seasons out of all!
It's easier for the viewers to think through the strategy along with them this way. We don't have to worry about knowing the flight schedules or anything like that.

I'm really surprised Ben and Adam didn't just start walking backwards because you know that's how Sam would have interpreted the rolling to walk forward.

@@Pyxyty Last season Sam literally touched one of them during a "touch an animal" (paraphrased) challenge because it didn't specify "non-human" and humans are technically animals. So.. yeah. It seems fair.
@@Lady-of-Sky im aware, my point specifically being that he seems like he's trying his best to actually stay within the spirit of the challenges this season so far, so why put down someone that's trying to improve on past mistakes? That's what seems unfair to me.
Anyways, i dont really care too much, i just kinda feel bad sometimes since some people (not this comment or this thread, mind you, but others) are being way too mean and personal about it, so im just trying to combat that a bit by giving benefit of the doubt.
to be fair they did some weird intepretation this season. Like whats an handstand and the differencene between rolling a dice and throwing a dice.
@@Pyxyty it wasn't an attack on Sam. I was pointing out the way the curse was worded was highly open to interpretation and Sam would take full advantage of that as he has in past seasons. As Mizzurani Friend points out, they do seem to be a little more into interpretation this time around...through I'll give them a pass on the handstand because I don't think I could do a real one after grade school.
Toby’s braid is the longest and prettiest thing I have ever seen and it must have taken years and years and years to grow out and it must take for ever to braid
I have hair of a pretty similar length, and while yes years and years to grow, one thick braid like that is really only a few minutes to do once you have the hang of it. I redo mine every other day or so and it takes me almost no time at all! (drying hair takes _forever_ though)
As a kiwi, I'm absolutely loving this series of you guys exploring my country. I've never actually been on the zorb. Looks very fun
I kinda want to know the full list, so I can replicate them for an upcoming trip to NZ

It is fun. I didit while havign a broklen arm in a cast, and my bigger brother with me in teh ball. It was amazing.- Yes we took a video of itz from inside the ball.

I suggest visiting smaller towns. You get a better sense of the NZ culture there. Definitely go and visit the Shire tour.

This series keeps getting better and better, I love the editing of these videos, the editing team makes this relatively complicated game very easy to follow, and the pacing is perfect

This season has a really entertaining format. Clear rules for the challenges, diverging routes but also converging challenges like this one.
I thought the game of tag was pretty fun, but this season is great!
Would love to see the teams switched up sometime! Ben/Sam or Adam/Sam versus someone else would be cool!

They did it as intended, they mentioned this during the layover podcast on Nebula last Saturday
@@MumblingPenguin I get that they clarified that on the podcast but it should have been put in the video. It also makes that curse pretty bad unless they get unlucky with lines because most McDonald's are pretty quick.
Sam is always cheating the rules
The absolutely incorrect wording used on the card was super frustrating. Apparently the intended curse was meant to be "stop at the next 3 McDonalds you see and order food from them", the whole "eat at a McDonalds" literally doesn't mean "eat at a McDonalds"
When I saw Jet Lag for the first time, I was a bit sceptical, but now, it's my favourite thing on TH-cam

Ben is one of the most uncoordinated people I have ever seen. I love it. It makes for some hilarious moments.

Ben and Adam taking the fun routes is what I would 100 percent do if I was playing. Yeah it takes a little longer but they’ll catch up eventually and have a lot more fun too

about 4 years ago i spent a month solo travelling around New Zealand, its giving me major nostalgia as the very first place i went in Auckland was Albert Park, the first volcano. i went to Hamilton, and the Huka Falls near Taupo, i then went to Wellington and got the ferry to Picton. I'm showing this series to my family!
Ben and Adam are such an iconic and amusing team 😂 I can not help it but root for them every season 😆
