    This tower ladder at 6:30 is awesome, could be 1990s vintage or so. I think these firetrucks can be added to America's iconic items - always dark red, lots of chrome, and with much more size than the vehicles we have over here! Cheers from Germany!

    Good thing you got footage of where that car was parked that got hit, it was definitely a traffic obstruction, an should have been parked better an on the right side of the street. But with current politics, im sure the city will still have to pay for the damage an possibly a rip for the engine operater. Im sure it would b a big help you sending this to the Fire dept for review.

      Traffic obstruction or not…backing up without a spotter and not paying attention. Completely the apparatus drivers fault.

      I am at my computer some 30.000 miles away, so it's quite hard for me to figure out whose fault it was. But what I can say is: it couldn't happen to me, as I would leave plenty of room for those cars with blue lights & sirens!

      @@jimfitz1432 why would you drive over a charged supply line? If you want to jeopardize your guys interior go ahead but no one in Colorado does that. Very unsafe and especially in this case there was no real need for a second stick to the roof.

      Good to see in “Colorado” you guys are cool with parking your million dollar truck down the block. Could of used the 2nd stick for any number of reasons beside the roof on this job. I’ve driven over 100’s of supply lines. Never lost the supply line. Not once…but hey you guys do you. Just admit your J.V. and take the loss. It’s what most “progressive” departments do like yours.

      Genius you don't drive over a charged 5 inch line. I don't know what department you're with but whoever told or showed you that needs to go back through training. They emphasize that many times in training about NOT driving over charged lines.

    I don’t think the front bumper line on E45 is long enough. Guys going to the roof without SCBAs ….E16 backs into car , hooks to hydrant - road completely blocked now. Good thing they didn’t need another ladder truck to the front - both engine companies have street all jammed up 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @DennisDelaney-fg4pw
      @DennisDelaney-fg4pw 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thats a hydrant line on the front bumper 300 feet Chicagos hydrants are every 600 feet so it can make any hydrant.Chicago code doesn’t allow any access to the inside from the roof so scba not needed.The cop asked the driver how fast were they reversing when they ran into the engine.And your mom could’ve gotten a tower down that street to the front.Its time to replace that armchair duke it a little threadbare.

      @@DennisDelaney-fg4pw If you are on the roof of building with an active fire in it cutting a vent hole you need to be wearing an SCBA and have the mask on. After E16 was done backing into the car, he completely blocked the street. There is no way you, me, or anyone could get a tower down that street.

    • @DennisDelaney-fg4pw
      @DennisDelaney-fg4pw 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@scotttiminey Chicago does not use scba on a roof they know how to move to the windward side of the hole.And there is no access to the building so they have to come down the ladder to move to truckwork,and most are spent anyway.You are fixated on the accident its not a deadend street the building is 50 feet from the south intersection and nothing in the lot next door.The snorkel squad is coming and going to the front, the tower if needed, can go into or thru the vacant lot.The 2nd truck can make the roof from where they are.And are throwing a ladder to the rear.The rit truck will probably park in the front of the 2nd truck.Put this fire in the middle of the block and things change.And 3 and a half minutes into the video the fire is in overhaul a ex fire.And you retired guys can add up all the runs of your Dept and E45 t15 did more.

      @@jessebellanger9807 But WHERE is this fire, we don't need the address but how about the street? What day was this fire, etc. We heard a car accident involving a fire truck, what happened afterwards. You were there, we weren't so how about providing some narrative about what happened that we didn't see or hear. May I suggest that you Watch some other videos from professional youtubers, and see how they present these types of videos and maybe that will provide some perspective for you.
