I noticed you cut the LED rope exactly where you wanted it for the shape. How were you able to make all the wire connections without cutting the LED rope at the black dots?
God bless you. Not only for the great content and your willingness to share so much of your knowledge but also for your patience with so many ignorant and rude people who asked questions that you had already answered 100 times. I have a suggestion, I'm sure there is a way that you could share Amazon links of the products you use and get a kickback. I know it's a thing just not sure how it is done. Also I believe you could link the items for the router you built etc. Thanks again for making this world a better place. Have a great day
Is this indoor or outdoor sign? How weatherproof is this when the neon flex is only partly covered in the bottom with acrylic? Don't you need to have thicker acrylic and deeper CNC slot so that the neon flex is fully emerged in the acrylic base plate and thus fully protected?

You state it’s a custom machine designed and built by yourself, however how is the acrylic being held in place? I don’t see any clamps. I’m thinking about carving one out on a regular cnc. Also, what type of bit and “spindle speed” are you using?
Is that a router or an engraver? I honestly don't know the difference and I was looking at CNC machines for home hobby use and they gave the option for a router or an engraver.
Hello, I was wondering does it matter where you cut the flex? And how do you determine the size of the lettering to accommodate the cut lines of the flex?
This would depend more on your camera and less on light intensity. Because although the light intensity plays a role. Even if you have it as dim as it can go, if you’re using a traditional WebCam, it’ll still look too blown out and won’t be able to balance exposure levels from foreground and background. You would need to upgrade your camera, perhaps a DSLR set up.
@@MaximusTheChosenOne thanks for that - do you know what kind of webcam may work? I know you say a DSLR setup, in regards to webcam quality cameras, are there any I should he looking at? Cheers
If the sign's over-exposed and you're using something like 12V LED tape: adding a couple of diodes, in series with the power, will knock down the voltage (700mV per diode) and only cost pennies. Otherwise, you can put theatre gel or even some of that half-silvered electrostatic protection plastic in front of it, to reduce the light level. Providing you're using DC (not AC...) to power the sign, it shouldn't flicker nor be blurry.
