Lego Investing - Why i'm NOT buying Lego at this moment - An important lesson for Lego investors!

A couple of viewers of my channel asked me why i stopped making the monthly Lego investments videos. You will find the answer to this question in this video and i think i also share a pretty important lesson for all Lego investors and resellers.

Not sure we agree with some of the statements. There were some really good GWP's like the Retro Food Truck and the Lego Space set. Surprised that you didn't see any good discounts. 50% off was no exception online if you knew where to look. So even if this means a bit of a longer hold time, think it will still be worth it. And then there were double insiders points to lower some of the costs.

I fully understand what you're saying. There were some great GWP's that's why i said 'almost no good GWP's' :D The discounts from -50% on sets that i think are investment worthy i haven't seen so far but ofcourse i could have just missed them. I understand the video probably seems a bit more negative then i've ment it to be and obviously it's always a bit personal. I'm glad you were able to score some good deals! I haven’t bought any either yet this year. Haven’t seen any good deals . I’m in the Uk. Also I have been caught out in the past buying too early sets that are taken off the retirement list.

same haven't bought any since January and it was an overseas bundle, bought £130 today tho from brick link 4 x 501st, 5 x clone trooper droid battle pack, and 2x obi wan starlighter, average 49% off in total so to me that's decent enough. But I have seen nowhere stores online or in store for any good deals on any sets, waiting till end of q3 to looking again

Hi, I am new to Lego investing but have been in the hobby for 35 years... Question: do you ever buy and resell sets from the noughties or are you strictly targeting soon to retire? If yes to this question, do you buy used as well as sealed? And finally is the hold time different? Cheers

Thank you for watching! I normally only buy sets that are about to retire. In rare occasions i buy a collection to sell the sets separately, but that almost never happens. The price where you buy a set for is the leading factor for how long the holding time should or can be. If it's a brand new set or you bought it from someone else doesn't really matter. This because of the simple fact that the cheaper you buy a set for the quicker you will be able to make a decent return on your investment.
Oh yeah, if you buy a set from someone, always be sure that it hasn't been opened before. If it was opened and buil before obviously that will reduce the value significantly.

Buy the dip.. DCA the SKUs you already hold. The future looks bright! The best time to buy crypto was last year! Tax season upon us! Guess the crypto retail bag-holders will be made soon.
