    here in the UK bikes are limited to 250Watts, so the bikes in the video are a dream. However in the UK I can ride a horse on the road ( literally 1 horse power about 750W), I have little control of the horse, I think its safer to have a 1 horse power bike which is under my control and not the skittish personality of the horse.

      RCR is what the radrunner wishes to be though. I've been riding a radrunner all year and I love it. But the mileage could be better, you get what you pay for and both bikes are great first choices. They probably won't be your last ebikes either. Things will continue to evolve and push forward until the day where 60ah battery is the new norm.

      @@Endidixknsej I’ve changed my mind as of recently on hub motors. I like the idea of a mid drive motor because it has a lot more power efficiency, and is better for hillclimbing. However, I’m used to a 150 motorized scooter CVT automatic transmission, so I definitely am more on board for the throttle and go hub motors as opposed to having to shift gears. The day that automatic mid drive motors become more prevalent, will be a good one.

    • @apevowner761
      @apevowner761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to own the Pedal Electric All Wheel Drive and it was okay. I guess my bike was incorrectly programmed as the bike was only able to hit 22 mph. What I mean by used to is that we completely changed it to a Bafang BBSHD system. We even needed to cut the frame just to fit the motor in by it reaches a much higher top speed of 30 mph and it has much more acceleration. If you would like I have made a review about how it was before the mods and a review on how it was after.

      I bought a new ecotric Hammer bike I've had more than a week. It seems to work pretty darn good for $1,400. You could put a new motor if you wanted to bafang. And battery or whatever you wanted. I thought it's a darn good bike for the price. Of course you have to put a new front light and a rear light and buy the rack and all that you can do a lot of upgrades. I had my leg amputated in November 2019 and I think it's the best investment I ever made. And it sure beats a wheelchair doesn't it

    Soon as I see a deralure or cables looking like an afterthought hanging all over the frame. Cable ties or no motorbike type throttle I'm off... Just my choices. The kiwi UBCO farm ebike is the best I've seen up to now. Its just too exspensive at the moment. Sure someone in China is thinking I can do that much cheaper...

    they're so close to being a nobrainer. double that range and I'd get one for sure.

      If you build one yourself to the specs you want, you can not only spend half the money, but also triple the normal range.

    The 2nd one isnt fixed so why would you have to keep up on the pedals you should be able to pedal and decrease the stress on the motors/battery and increase range

    In the UK you can't have an e-bike that turns on without pedaling. If these are classified as mopeds, why do they need pedals?

  • @YellowCubFlyer

    Any review for the è-mopeds from Huck Cycles? They have a 1k and 2kW series as well as a 3kW bike that can be bought as a straight up motorcycle option. I ordered an Onyx, but I would have loved to seen a side-by-side review with these.

    do any of them have a key lock mechanism that locks the rear motor? these are easy for thieves to target as they are extremely expensive.

    Waiting on Hyper Scorpion. $2000. was my limit but what the heck? Not sure I would want a 60 mph e bike and at $4000. I also could buy a Juiced CCs2 . Some of these companies won't be around for ever, (Prodecotec). What if you need a battery for the Onyx in 5 years?

    • @realestatestudent213
      @realestatestudent213 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have someone build you one. Or build your own. Batteries are easily accessible and always available and could be made to fit any ebike.
      You're welcome 😊

      @@realestatestudent213 This ^^^. One of the most attractive things about the Onyx is the ability to modify it endlessly with standard third-party moped parts. Some ebike companies are using a lot of proprietary parts in their builds. Onyx went the opposite direction.

      @@realestatestudent213 I priced out doing a Grin Tech. setup on a Cannondale F400 and it would be about the same as a new bike that would have disc brakes etc. I have a Prodecotec RX5 that is 5 yrs. old. 36v 600 w. time for new stuff with more range. I think for the tech improvements the new bikes are priced fairly, considering what was around 5yrs. ago. Thankyou

    I've been looking for a good bike for so long but got sick of the high price so now I got myself a razor mx650 w/ a 48v 2000w motor (30mph) but I'm planning on going to a 60v-72v 3000w motor and redoing the body to be a Café Racer w/ mirrors and headlight/brakelight and turn signals.... It would fall under a electric motor vehicle but not powerful enough to be a motorcycle but it'll do 50mph and I can even get a 20"x4" wheel w/ a 72v 5000w motor if I want to go even faster. Also if I get a 72v triangle battery I can eliminate some of the width of the battery box and I could weld a bottom bracket on for pedals... But then I'd have to get rid of the foot pegs completely so it's a pedal assist but I'm OK w/ that option.

      why do that? just dont get caught going too fast. and honestly with small electronics (750w kits and less) aren't that noticable. and i believe most are legal at 20mph or less(and have pedals)

    • @jaybariya9
      @jaybariya9 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think 28mph is the limit for class 3 e-bikes. Just don’t ride above that limit and wear a helmet, nobody gonna catch you.

    I'd like to see a 24" or 26" tire Scorpion-like bike with better leg extension for pedal assist. We aren't Allowed throttle only - just pedal assist and pedaling is where the Scorpion (as it is now) suffers. It's a good looking bike, but pedal use is poor.

    I went with a super73 z1 on an impulse buy.
    Cool bike for what it is.. I never road over 14 miles on a trip and the motor always felt strong.
    Here's the problem.. the tires. I took it out 3 times and two of those times I got flats. I ride with a guy that has a RX. Those tires are where its at..
    So I sold the z1 and ordered a S2.
    I do like the aerial rider but...looks, smaller battery, and those tires on it are not bullet proof like the ones you'll find on the super73 s2.
