As a Sri Lankan person who has been living in New Zealand for the last 28 years, I feel sorry for this couple. They have lost a big opportunity. One has to start from the beginning when you come here. Eventually you can get to where you want to be and create your own life style that suits you. NZ is a multi-cultural society which recognise and accept diversity. It appears that there is more to this than what they say. To be honest , two months is not enough to assess a new country, and looks like they have taken a rash decision. By the way I usually don’t watch this kind of videos. It just popped up on my screen.

It's the negativity they had, basically from the start. Then it keeps pulling down. Basically, people go to have peace and the freedom to create and establish ones life without friction(jealosy, hatred, inequality)
Singapore is one of the most convenient places to live on many aspects .. I love singapore very much....hard to find a place better than that ... australia is same as NZ.. but to be honest NZ is a lovely country to live ... way better than Europe.... but it depends on the person too.. for someone who is watching this should not think NZ is not a good place to live ... and wish you two the best ....😊

After watching your video, I could sum up the reason why you like Singapore more than NZ. Singapore is like a developed version of Sri Lanka. The only difference is that Singapore is a small city state with no natural beauty unlike Sri Lanka. Other than that culture, weather, people, lifestyle, all are much similar to Sri Lanka. So if any Sri Lankan who lived and worked in Singapore for a significant period of time will find it difficult to get away from that systematic, clean, safe and convenient country. After all, we are Asians and we feel more at home in an Asian country compared to UK, US, AUS, NZ, etc.
I thought im the only one whofelt this way. I went there in july. But i returned in octomber. I felt exactly the same. Nomatter how much i spentto go there and the scholarship i got, i couldnt bear for some reason. I felt so negativity and felt my country is best even if it is on struggling situation. I cant belive that you said all the feelings i had. Im a girl went there to stay with my family. I stayed even with my brothers family. But still all i felt is that i cant stay there. I didnt know why i felt so. But with your wordings ,i supprised. Thats what exaci felt.

As a Sri Lankan person who has been living in New Zealand for the last 28 years, I feel sorry for this couple. They have lost a big opportunity. One has to start from the beginning when you come here. Eventually you can get to where you want to be and create your own life style that suits you. NZ is a multi-cultural society which recognise and accept diversity. It appears that there is more to this than what they say. To be honest , two months is not enough to assess a new country, and looks like they have taken a rash decision.
By the way I usually don’t watch this kind of videos. It just popped up on my screen.

After watching your video, I could sum up the reason why you like Singapore more than NZ.
Singapore is like a developed version of Sri Lanka. The only difference is that Singapore is a small city state with no natural beauty unlike Sri Lanka. Other than that culture, weather, people, lifestyle, all are much similar to Sri Lanka.
So if any Sri Lankan who lived and worked in Singapore for a significant period of time will find it difficult to get away from that systematic, clean, safe and convenient country.
After all, we are Asians and we feel more at home in an Asian country compared to UK, US, AUS, NZ, etc.

I thought im the only one whofelt this way. I went there in july. But i returned in octomber. I felt exactly the same. Nomatter how much i spentto go there and the scholarship i got, i couldnt bear for some reason. I felt so negativity and felt my country is best even if it is on struggling situation. I cant belive that you said all the feelings i had. Im a girl went there to stay with my family. I stayed even with my brothers family. But still all i felt is that i cant stay there. I didnt know why i felt so. But with your wordings ,i supprised. Thats what exaci felt.

I wonder are you aware the number of SCHOLORSHIPS awarded to SL students had been slashed by 60%...no body wants people from a bankrupt Nation. Hope you will be alive by the day Sri Lanka declared (Hurray we are no longer a Bankrupt Nation anymore.... let's party)....Bad news is Sri Lanka as from September of 2023 by global citizens rankings ranked as an OFFICIALLY a Bankrupt Nation.
