A little help for some users (monolized LoFi Freq etc). Track 1 has a Flex machine, which records the A-B inputs into the recording buffer. Track 2 has a Thru machine which receives the A-B inputs. The crossfader's scenes are setup like this. Trigs for Scene A (crossfader all the way to the left), Flex machine on maximum level (playing the recorded loop) and Thru machine on minimum level. Then, Scene B (crossfader all the way right), Thru machine on maximum level (getting the live audio straight from inputs A-B), Flex machine minimum level (recorded loop not audible).
Thanks for doing these! I like to see you guys are committed to your product and your user base, it's a very important factor for me when making purchases. I already have an octatrack but I've also been looking at the machinedrum : ]
can this trick be used to transition between octatrack patterns? Say I have pattern 1 Part A, and I want to record that to transition to pattern 2 Part B?
Hi . I have experimented with you downloaded file. thank you for that. Also, I have another question : when you push the cross fader to the extreme right just to ear a delay and come back quickly to the left , the delay is decreasing slowly. But in my own projects, when i try to do the same thing, the delay is cutting itself ... I think there is just something to adjust with the crossfader. could you tell me what it is ? thank you very much
How exactly is this set up? Is 2 tracks on the OT needed for this? Sampled MD on track 1 and clean MD through track 2s through machine? And the fader scenes are set up to fade between track 1 and 2? Is this correct? Or can this be done using a single flex machine track somehow?
hi . could you please describe the procedure for playing the cross fader like this ? because I thought that the crossfader was only to play with scenes.. thank you in advance. A user... from france.

Thanks guy !
merci beaucoup .thanks you
Dude that tip alone is extremely powerful and could be considered the bread and butter of making Live music with the OT.
Still huge in 2020
Still in 2021
Still in 2024

Do it, the Machinedrum is such a fantastic instrument.

If you download the file linked in the video description section, you can see how it is set up!
Please download the project file accompanying the video. There you have all settings used in the video!
Have you checked the so the TAPE parameter in DELAY SETUP is set to I?
