1:17 It's incredible to see the baby ibex plan where to jump and navigate down a cliff like that. I wonder what goes through their minds and if they scared of falling like we would be? I think the ibex is one of my new favorite animals now
Lessons learnt by all the ibex babies but the last one who was left behind, learnt the most important & crucial lesson of his life that is how to save his life Really like the Dutch/British/isle of man kind of accent of this narrator... Thanks to BBC for sharing this
@@blucat4 Nope, Everyone has to eat for survival!🤷 Also, that Fox might have hungry cubs to feed. You need to look at hollistic picture not just the cute side of the coin!

BBC has some wonderful programs to watch! Terrific camera work and very informative commentary on these wonderful videos. I watch David Attenborough's Planet series and they are so educational and wildly interesting! I saw a video about the ibex traveling all over those treacherous perches up high in the mountains and I know they have special pad-like parts of their hooves, which helps them "stick" to the rocks, but babies on those high perches looks awfully tenuous and dangerous!
Thanking you all for this amazing and wonderful documentary sort film about amazing dear cubs and their mother's desert life. And I wonder how they're able to lipp ing on dangerous and slippery rocks. And I also wonder how the little cob of the dear mother was able to escape from the fox. I would like to apriciate if you could tell us how long do they live?
Kids at 0:58 are like: "You've got to be kidding me! Why wasn't I born a bird?" Watching this 4 times now. Didn't even notice the adults balancing in the trees first time.
I'm impressed the fox got as high as it did! That's a hard climb when you have soft feet with close toes (though alas, no ibex supper for the effort). Hopefully the kid made it to the bottom after all that.
Love these especially the mountain life of animals so fascinating i pride myself on being an animal nerd but even i had no idea fox lived live on mountains too foxes are in every habitat except the ocean lol
That was a damn close call for the kid! There was a moment it hesitated a jump, and the fox was basically breathing down it’s haunches in the end. Had the kid not found the steep cliff only it could stand or have been even a little slower, it would have surely been the fox’s dinner tonight
These babies can already climb up and down steep mountains, meanwhile our babies can't even support their own head without help. How are we the dominant species again? 😅
*The young ibex showcases its remarkable balance and nimbleness as it maneuvers along the treacherous terrain, while the fox employs cunning tactics to outmaneuver its prey.*
Ibex is a type of Goat (Capra) and so a young Ibex is an Ibex Kid not "baby" which is an anthropological term as opposed to the term used for goats which is "kid". It's excellent quality footage of the animals and the narration overall is well delivered, but the bbc has turned National History into mawkish-sentimentality which does not respect the natural conditions sufficiently of these animals in the wild.
Extraordinary. The little ibex is amazing.
And we're all happy it didn't get caught. But this is nature, and the fox needs to eat too ... Such is life.
Incredible cinematography and baby ibex skills. It's like watching a Prince of Persia or an Assassin's Creed game, ibex version
The ibex creed - Arabian desert

Fox : They probably don't taste good anyways.
It was a sour ibex

You must have been a fox in your past life 😅😂
Lmao 😂😂😂
There's always someone has to spell out the joke.
Mom Ibex casually eating a salad while her baby fights for it's life
😂
She knew that the fox had no chance vs her baby ibex. It's analogous to a toddler trying to guard Jokic in an NBA basketball game.
beautifully presented and with amazing commentary. Thank you, BBC.
I hate that it had no ending.
Watching the fox chasing the baby ibex is like watching action film! My heart beat faster..
I thought the fox would wait it out at the end. It didn't.
Just a few days old, and already beat a predator
Spectacular ❤❤
@@hi.iampawan hahaha nice

Very beautiful Presented by bbc
Ibex have different eyes. They see vertical things as horizontal.. 😂
Amazing video
Nice vid, but one thing I've learned from watching wildlife footage online is that you don't need music and you don't need commentary.
Ibex "mom do we actually gotta live here"
I wonder if the fox and the young ibex had no-hard-feeling chit-chat at the end!
Amazing.
The drumming is a distraction from the percussion of hooves on rock.
❤️ the ibex!!
I needed to see that in slow motion
amazing
Animals are better then public?
The the little ibex has been standing there on the side of the rock ever since.
Yaay! Baby Ibex wins!
The kid outfoxed the fox!
The commentary is so soft and the ominous music at the end is so LOUD. Pls balance the volume BBC! 🙏🏻
Who is narrating this?? I love his voice/accent ❤

Amazing rock climbing skills that little kid has. Just watching it climb that steep cliff made me nauseous.

Be thankful for your meals. every meal is a matter of life & death for animals.
So cute!! Animals are truly beautiful and spiritual. I can't bear to eat Animals, I've already become a vegan long time ago.
