Skaven have no friendly fire, it's preemptive strike. Kill your enemies while they are still your friends.

I have no idea how he managed to do this even after watching it. The AI will shoot aggressively with both archers and Poison Wind Globadiers. But only the globadiers can be exploited? I'm still confused and amazed.
@@alex_zetsu because the PWG have an area of effect and do damage over 10 seconds and not just at contact

@@alex_zetsu their slingers have no armor piercing, and monster units have high armor, therefore most of their shots can be ignored. the globadier bombs have a devastating aoe effect, he just needs to s/pace right so they don't delete the dino but the rats.
It was really kind of Clan Mors to recruit the Poison Wind Globadiers for Legend.

Specifically, the skaven would get -20% melee attack, while the skinks would get +20% melee attack and defense

It is good that in the Waaagh! Update the debuffs from friendly fire were disabled EXCEPT for wind of death "because Skaven".
Theres a new mod that adds a skaven faction (vrrkic or something) and it is super cool! They are all gas based rats and everyone has gas masks so you dont have to worry about friendly gas
@@Daniel_deez_nutz I don't think that's really skaven tho. Those gas mask are probably more expensive than any of the skaven slaves
@@Sir_Bucket nah its pretty canon. And urine soaked cloth works as a gas mask as mentioned in many warhammer books which is something slaves could easily get.
@@Daniel_deez_nutz I mean... if you want to get technical like that yeah, but I prefer not to in any Warhammer setting because you will have a very weird settings, where half of it is super grounded and the other half is just ridiculous.
You can have all the urine soaked tissues you want (which, if they work btw, why don't all of the skaven's ennemies use them?), but there are lizard-peoples living in space ships made out of stone (the lizard-men's building are the Old Ones' ships), knights in plate armor going toe-to-toe with firearms (which became so popular in history specifically because they were so good at penetrating plate-armor), Settra, etc...
I really love the ridiculousness of Warhammer, but I don't think adding logic to it is a good idea, because you will always have a plot-hole
@@Sir_Bucket On the other side of Warhammer world, many of those things don't happen often to most empire citizens. There's like an 80% chance than any given empire citizen has to deal with civil wars and not much else.

You can make a decent skink doomstack if you fill like 10 slots in your army with Kroxigor heroes that have spawn kin. Then stack a few armor buffs and your skinks can outperform grave gaurd
What kroxigor heroes are there isn’t there only the general

I had a fight like this before, except it was a fire slaan and 19 javelin skinks caught in force march at full health
against 4 full stacks of skavenslaves
i dont think i need to mention who won, but i did manage to wipe out around 6k of them with magic alone, but skaven being skaven had fully recovered in a few turns
Had a similar one. I was fixing up an army that got messed up by another fight, Vampire Coast, I think; they had lost their lord and were sitting on like a level 3 Oldblood, but with a decently leveled Heavens Skink Priest. They were moving around recruiting things, I think they had like, 4 squads of Saurus Spears, 2 packs of Salamanders, 2 Kroxigor squads, and a handful of javelin and chameleon skinks, when a bunch of Skaven popped up.
Similar case of like 3 stacks of Skavenslaves, one strange lord with no army.
The Priest got so, so many kills. Under 3000, I would have remembered that, but at least 2000. One of the salamander squads also managed to seriously get like, 500 kills, no idea how. I think they maybe got multiple squads converging or something, because I recall the salamanders going down really quickly. One of the Saurus teams did really well, too.
The Priest wound up surviving yet another case of everyone around him dying from that.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 salamanders seem pretty powerful, but ive not used them. I feel like its the AOE with the range that makes them good

Yeah, they're a bit awkward, but they deal tons of damage if you can manage that awkwardness. They absolutely melt light infantry, and take meaty bites out of tougher squads, too. They aren't optimized for single entities, but can still pile on quite a lot of damage, and the morale hit from them can be pretty nasty, especially since the other dinos are doing that already. They really excel when you can broadside an enemy, 'cuz that splash is brutal.
They can also lob over walls, and I believe they are the only standard Lizardmen option for doing that.
Unfortunately, they're pretty squishy. They can dish out surprising melee damage, and can straight up demolish dedicated ranged units in melee, but they die really really fast to even basic melee squads, let alone anything specialized for taking out monsters.
They also draw aggro like nobody's business, so they are very volatile.
They do pretty well with a squad of sacrificial skinks to hold the line in front of them.
The Ancient Salamander deals way less damage than the full squad of regular ones, but in exchange is much, much tougher in melee, and can serve as a budget bastiladon if it runs out of ammo in a pinch. Probably shouldn't use it that way, but you can. I don't like them very much, I always feel kinda disappointed by them, especially since they're way more expensive than the normal salamanders, but usually deal way less damage.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 its kinda like the vampire coast grenadiers in a way, except it actually has halfway decent range, in that you want to flank with them so you dont hurt your own troops with the large quantity of explosions

What is the best mount for a Red Crested Skink Chief lord anyways? I always put them on Horned Ones but I'm curious of the Ripperdactyl is any good, or if anyone out there puts them on the Ancient Stegadons.
The best mount for a Skink Lord is a Kroxigor or Carnosaur. In other words, don't get Skink Chief Lords.
Ripperdactyl. They are pretty bad in general, so if you're going to use one at all, you may as well use it for what only it can do, and that's being the only generic flying lord for Lizardmen.
@Gal Gréine Yeah but for auto resolve purposes Horned Ones do a lot better of a job. To be fair I rarely recruit either units to begin with but since I do actually like using Red Crested Skink Chief lords, I was torn overall between both mounts. I do think Ripperdactly is a better mount for air mobility though. Thank you for the input!
