queen! that sally hanson "gel" polish isn't actually cured by light! :(( it's a regular polish thats supposed to dry faster and last longer than reg polish!! so that might be why the lamp wasn't working!!
Your light probably works fine! The polishes you got are actually gel effect and with their top coat look like gel but are in fact regular polish! I work at a beauty store and those get confused all the time!! And sometimes with gel polish there will also be a sticky layer that can be taken off with alcohol! Love watching your videos 💖
That nail polish you used don’t need the light. It’s a specific kind of nail polish that works with the light. Also, when you do the gel light you want to use a base coat (gel light version, then 2 coats of the gel polish, then a top coat of the gel polish. You’ll want to “cure” your nails with the light between each coat and then at the end when you “cure” your nail the final time with the top coat you use a cotton ball with acetone to finish it off and then add some cuticle oil to end it off! You can still use that blue polish but don’t use the light and it’ll have to just air dry like normal. Those polishes are basically regular polish that’s just supposed to last a little longer

I recommend getting the Sun-UV light from amazon (it has a pink top), and DND gel polishes!! also prep is the most important so using a dehydrator, primer, and base gel coat is super important! I think your blue ones turned out super cute though!! 😇💗

Destiny! I too have gotten my hair dyed almost platinum since i was like 15. I haven’t gotten it dyed in well over a year now and got it cut so all my dyed blonde is gone, and i’m naturally a dishwater blonde. I can totally relate to hair crisis. I‘m naturally light blonde (even lighter than you are) and had really long hair. I cut it in 2020 short and dyed it red. Didn‘t like the red, bleached it. Looked even worse. Went brown, then black and stayed black for two years. Last Autumn I went back to a dark/medium blonde and it damaged my hair quite a lot. I can‘t risk going lighter, so I just use colored hair mask to switch between warm toned and cool toned colors without damage. My hair is long again, but I feel like I‘ve been in a hair crisis since 2020 haha. Before that I had the same long blonde hair for 20 years. Hope your in love with your new hair 🫶🏻

Ok when ur doing gel, the base coat and the color are going to be tacky, but once u put on a NON WIPE TOP COAT- I really really recommend the non wipe top coat- they’ll be dry. Also put ur nails in the lamp for up to a minute for a mail lamp with 32 watts

Fun fact. Deodorant and anti-transpirant are to diferent things. Deodorant helps with the odor and the anti-transpirant prevents you from sweating. Sorry for my ingles, not my first language.
DES!!! It's not the light... those Sally Hansen polishes are NO UV light... they are faux gel nails so they don't actually harden with the light. Try your lamp with a different formula of polish or just use the nail polish witnout the light, but you'll have to let them dry! Hope that helps 😘

Yeah the end of my senior year I got my hair basically platinum blonde for like prom and stufff and it was cute… but over time my roots came in and i realized that is wasn’t me so it my natural brown hair and I love it… I don’t have to do anything with it other get it cut but reasently I have been wanting to get the highlights that I am obsessed with… and I want to cute it short… but it is just the summer talking by fall I will be upset with myself because I want really long hair.

I do my own nails at home too but I use builder gel. I swear by the Luminary nail systems builder gel - I’m from Scotland and pay an extra £35 for shipping - but it’s so worth it. I have quite thin nails naturally but the builder has helped me grow my nails out so much. My nails last me 3-4 weeks before I need to infill them and they have great nude colours 🩷
Girlie, deodorant and anti perspirant are different, none of the cute eco friendly deodorants will stop you sweating they’re just for the smell :( it also takes a while for your body to adjust to not having strong ingredients so you’re supposed to get worse before you get better. Idk I gave up and went back to my usual roll on antiperspirant 😅
I have been doing my own gel nails for over a year now and it is nearly impossible to buy actual gel (UV activated) polish in the store. 😩 I have had a lot of success with products from Amazon but will give a word of caution that I recently bought Beetles brand base/top coat and had a horrible reaction to it, which I’ve never had to any other gel products. 🙃 But there are some really nice kits out there that come with the lamp, base/top, and lots of polish colors!

The nail polishes you got aren’t used with the light. They are gel polishes you don’t need light for. You need the top coat that they sell.
I was going to comment what is said above. And also the top coat for this also works with any other nail polish and it makes it look like gel
But also there are gel nail polish that work with a light. You can tell them apart because the one’s that need the lamp the bottle isn’t see true.
It’s “gel-like” polish, but it’s just an air dry polish with higher shine

You’d want to use rubbing alcohol to do the final wipe off, not acetone! ¨̮

Those Sally Hansen gel polishes are not to be cured with a LED light, they’re normal polishes that can be long wearing with their gel effect top coat
