@ Interesting, I bought it because I needed a 9’ jig stick and it was on sale. I did some research and it was no longer on the Okuma site. I’m really stoked about it. Thanks for the knowledge!
@fishnsage it became way too expensive to ship overseas due to it's length, so Okuma stopped making them. I ended up buying a UC 9e because I couldn't find one. I'm a fan of the 8ft PCH rods.
First time on a fishing boat was the Pursuit with my Pops I was 14 in 1972. We had great times on all the boats in So Cal sadly my Pops passed away this year😢.
A short Carolina rig did the trick. 30 lbs leader with 1 ounce egg sinker and a circle hook was working. Surface iron was working for me, as you can see. I saw a white buck tail work as well. We then went deep water rockcod fishing 500ft so be prepared with a double hook dropper and 10-12 oz leads or glow in the dark heavy white jigs. Thanks for watching!
The Pursuit was the first full day trip I took to Cat in 2018. Crews gotten a lot better since then. That 9ft PCH Custom XH is dope too.
@@mannyperez7680 I like the Pursuit, the bunks are a nice to have on a stand up trip. I like the rod too. I got it on sale at Evike.
@fishnsage if I already didn't have 4 other dedicated jig sticks, I try and find a 9ft PCH Custom because they're kinda rare.

@@kenxiong101 There were only a few jackpot entries. I should have entered since I got a decent red.
