Just been playing this number with my bassist friend - and it went well once I’d worked out some chord substitutions - which ended up being quite close to your version. The only major difference between the versions being ours had a lot more dominant and major 7ths for a more ‘jazzy’ feel.

I know you said 1st part was for a beginner, but I’ve had my guitar since the 22nd & I’m having to pause video in order to get proper finger placement based on your chart to left. At least I’m learning those chords. 😊👍🏻
