    Weird thing is although I agree with the jumping and speed go hand in hand - I've always been pretty fast for a guy who hasn't done any specific training other than football, I could run 100m in 11.4, yet i suck at jumping, seriously i hardly leave the ground. Also there's a ton of soccer players that had insane jumping ability - Cannavaro for one, but wasn't particularly fast at all.

      You’re naturally explosive. You have to work on what you lack at; strength. Vice versa for people who are naturally strong.

    you mean to tell me lifting weights will make me faster? that sounds too much like work. can't i just do some crossfit, or maybe some HIIT, or some P90X?

    So since America has Louie talking all these nonsense crap, why Russians kick US athlete's ass ???

      Are you serious? Louie especially utilizes russian training principles, his training and the way he trains his athletes is based mostly on the principles outlined by russian weightlifters, researchers and coaches.
      The book "Supertraining" by Dr. Mel Siff, that is largely based on russian research, is the base of almost all of Louie's training methods, this is not just some old guy talking about lifting, this guy uses math, science, trial and error and experience to produce some of the worlds strongest men.

      so why he thinks that half squat is more difficult than all the way ass to grass ?? Russians as well as others, squat 5 times more than his athletes..............

    • @AslanW
      @AslanW 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      John Jonnathan When did he ever say that? And no, the russians do not squat 5 times more than the guys at westside, nobody does. That's a fact.

      he said stupid things like that in other videos !! he also said that olympic lifters do not squat and that was probably because they do not do half goodmorning and half squat !!! Let's just see any of his athletes to squat ass to grass like the Russian and have a laugh !!! Russians like Klokov, Akaev amd others squatting some mythical weights beltless.........Klokov front squats 563lbs at 235 lbs bodyweight ass to grass without a belt !!!!!! Enough said.........

      John Jonnathan and he squats that weight WITH A PAUSE AT THE BOTTOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let this bald powerlifter show us any of his "great" athletes squatting anything like that, ass to grass, WITHOUT A BELT, without the triple, 4 layers squat ridiculous crap and then we talk...............
