I’m pretty happy with my rp-280 fa towers. I have rp-504c as well. They’re also my 1st set of tower speakers so my journey is fresh. I’m converting my den into a theater room. It’s a 10x10 room, but was a 4th bedroom option so there’s a cut out where the closet would have been. Gives an extra 2 ft of depth for most of the room. So it’s almost 12x10. I figure I’ll line my couch up just in front of the cut out space and put my surrounds, rp-160m, behind my couch. And my subs, right now I’m running 1 pb-2000 pro and will be adding another one at some point, will be right behind my couch as well to maximize the small space I have.
I have the RF7s in my man cave and they are fantastic. I couldn't think how anything could be better. I have the biamped through my Marantz pre-amp and Onkyo 9 channel amp.
I have assumed that the issues they cleaned up with the RP II series also exist in the RF-7’s, so I’ve expected them to release a RF-7 IV. I guess I still do, so would love to see that happen. I imagine an updated version would be killer.
Thanks for the very helpful overview. i would love to make a living room AV setup using the RP-8060FA. Can you recommend a good as strong as it can get Center Speaker so i don't have to struggle hearing speech like i do now with my mordount short Genie set. few years ago i replaced the woofer with a Mordount Short Alumni 240w model. it's still working so perhaps i don't need to replace it but it seems under powered compared to the 1200 or 1400w or even 1600w woofers on the Klipsch site.. And finally a question that's bin lingering in my mind for a while now can one use a RP-8060FA for the rear as well as front or does that suffer because of the couch being in front of it.. Thanks for your help greetings from The Netherlands
