I love how Jessica described the way her favorite speakers sounded more like a live performance to her. That is how audiophiles describe a great speakers. Michael she has been listening to you😂😅❤❤
More live means less compression and more Dynamic. So the amplitude diffrences between Single frequencies can differ greatly. Modern speakers compress alot because it helps getting nice specs like 29-20khz for a standbox that is to small for something with that specs and driver Selection. Its one part of how speaker Sound. So if someone says live = great that means he doesnt really know what hes talking about.
did write the comment on my smartphone and thought i expand a bit on it. A bigger dynamic = better sound. So that is correct. Its just that besides Dynamic there are alot of other factors that come into play for a speaker like phase alignement, inductivity, soundstage, dispersion characteristics, efficiency, resolution, frequency range that it works in until you gotta x-over to another driver, volume the driver plays in, ported or not, how much power the speaker can take, crossover design, etc pp so a good speaker is good at all of these and the tippity top of speakers are pretty good at all of these with a few of those where they are extremly good in. So its always a case by case thing what u need the speaker for and also what u enjoy the most. But a speaker that is terrible at resolution sounds bad, even to people who say they dont care about resolution. You cant have terrible performance in any stat.
Yeah Michael, I agree with you on the 3 way vs 2 way design. Almost always, if the speakers are of equal quality, the 3 ways will always sound better to me. When you had to adjust the speaker levels that brought me back to my time as a Klipsch rep in the Hickam AFB BX. We had a fairly nice setup where we could switch between speakers and adjust levels between them so we could do A/B comparisons on the fly. Even though we were selling the budget Tangent series, they still were far more efficient than the Bose and even JBL competitors. I do not even remember whatever else was being sold. I did not work for the BX, I was a contractor for the suppliers and repped only the Klipsch. Now the Navy exchange had Klipsch heritage(although they were not called that yet) and I was really jealous of the rep there. Even though the 2 way Tangents were a good series of speakers, they could not hold a candle to the Klipschorns, Cornwall IIs, La Scalas, Belle(remember those) and Heresys being sold there. All 3 ways.
Great review! Lifetime Klipsch guy here and I ended up transitioning over to the Motion 60’s and XTI 50. They are a great fit in my room and they sound excellent. The Martins maintain all the clarity of the Klipsch without the ringing effect in the upper frequencies. My old ears have been very pleased and they look stunning in red oak! 👍
They do look fantastic. Yesterday I install the den on 4800 H, the Center, Channel, Matching, surrounds, and an HSU VTF15H MK2 sub. About to run Audyssey now.
I've never had the chance to listen to either of these two speakers, but I certainly can appreciate the look of the Martin Logan's, especially to help blend in with the decor of the home. Back then speakers and even TVs were more or less furniture to blend in, and I still feel this can hold true today too. I'm glad you both found something you like for the living space, that is certainly awesome to see. :)
Hi Michael, I compared RP8000FII against KEF R tower speakers. I also found the midrange has more clarity on KEF. However, I also found that the Klipsch has a toe tapping factor that I hate to part with. I feel like I want to move along with the music when I listen to Klipsch. Do you feel the same between Klipsch and Martin Logan? I find it difficult to choose between the toe tapping factor and absolute clarity. Appreciate if you can provide your thoughts on this.
Very nice Michael ! My local brick and mortar audio shop (Safe and Sound) JUST hosted a Martin Logan Foundation Launch party!, and I got to hang out with Allan Tarrant (Sr. VP) and Andrew Lindsey (production manager) and many others from Martin Logan yesterday (7-8-2023)! Two listening rooms were very busy with Martin Logan's Qobuz playist and even some youTube channel owners were there shooting video and doing interviews ! What a day, and what a fine sound the F2's created with a low end no one could believe! The flagships were there, and later in the day were put into action. Lots of fun, food and music. Getting ready to finally schedule some time with the Neoliths on display. 🙂
Midrange (or lack of it) is definitely something I noticed when I went from the 2 way Klipsch RF7i's to the 2.5 way JBL HDI 3800's. The JBL's just came alive in the midrange - guitars, percussion, and vocals particularly. Highs are crisp and clear but not bright; I'd say slightly forward. The RF7's are still the undisputed bass monsters though, no sub needed lol. And the Klipsch Heritage line is a whole different animal.
Thank you kindly Scott. Yes I’ve never tried to claim to be the expert or the authority. I’m just a home theater enthusiast, sharing my love and passion with the world.
Klipsch needs a 3 way tower. Especially with the 8000f ii now having the cabinet bracing and all that. The mark IV just needs a big refresh. At high volumes the rf7iiis are better but i feel they need to gap the rp line to the heritage line better
Hearing good things about MartinLogan’s F200 range of speakers. They do look good in your home as does that quilt on your couch. Jessica is a fun addition to the channel.
I have not hooked up any other speakers yet. I was super busy preparing for MWAVE, currently am trying to get all of my videos, edited from the event, and then next week I’m flying to Charlotte, North Carolina for Audio Advice Live.
Do the Martin Logan’s need a beefier power supply? I have the rf7s but just use my receiver for power. A power amp is my next planned upgrade. But I am intrigued with these Martin Logans. Just curious
I have a Monolith 7X 200x7. When I play them in 2 Channel they really have a great Dynamics. I would definitely do an amp with RF-7 III, they are kind of power hungry. Just look at the back of them 250 Watts continuous with 1000 Watts Peaks. So what's that tell you. 😂
Always love blind listening tests. Re which speaker looks better in a living room, I think it all depends on the room decor. White makes sense if the LR decor is also predominantly white. Brown or wood speakers look good in a similarly colored environment. 😊
I bought last version motion 60xti’s unheard due to the pricing. I upgraded from the klipsch rf7ii. I loved the klipsch, but they were a little harsh on my ears. I agree the motion speakers are clearer and more refined. HOWEVER, I have a large open living room and the klipsch blew the ML out of the water when it came to dynamics and being able to fill the room. It honestly was not even close. They simply get louder, easier, and faster. And I am using a parasound amp. So for home theatre (in larger spaces), I would recommend the klipsch as you don’t notice the fine details with multi channel speakers. For music, I would go for the ML.
I will say, as a former owner of the 60xti's myself, the F200's blow the Motion Xti's out of the water themselves. I definitely wouldn't compare the older Motion to the new, personally
@@victorjacob1 I never heard the new ones. But usually speaker companies tweak the sound to keep the same sound signature. One thing I forgot to mention is the speaker box of the klipsch is double the size of the ML 60xti’s. So I’m sure that gives some advantages. But like I said, the ML are definitely more refined and I prefer them over the klipsch with music, which is the more critical. application. For movies, I like loud ass kicking sound. Maybe that’s why I am getting hearing loss 😂 (I’m not joking btw).
@@SS-cs6wt Yeah for sure! Just wanted you to know the new models were surprisingly a giant leap in improvement to the point of leaving me in shock. You should def go hear them some time if you get a chance 😊
Yeah memory for audio is very short term. You can carry some subjective information with you but overall doing A-B comparisons is very hard. Personal biases come into play quite a lot as well, we hear what our brain tells us we hear, to quite a large extent. Kudos for realizing that after 50 Klipsch speakers you may be habituated to the Klipsch "house sound" as well and have built up a preference.
@@Youthman That's why I prefer listening tests which constantly go back and forth between the speakers so you can hear the difference within the same part of the music. It's often harder to hear those differences when an entire song, or a string of songs, are played featuring one speaker and then hearing the same thing with the second speaker.
I agree. But even that method isn’t perfect since both pair of speakers are not in the exact location in the room. And location can drastically impact how a speaker performs.
Hi Youthman….I have pair of RP 8060FA with RP 504C center speaker in a home theater….the room size is 22 x 14….will switching to RF 7 iii and RC 64 iii as LCR make a difference?
Actually bought Martin Logan motion speakers a couple years ago and your review was one that influenced me. Loved that she picked those over the Klipsch. Nothing against them, just I also preferred the MLs because they made it sound more like I was there. Great video
Your wife seems lovely. It's interesting how describes the Logans as sounding more like a live performance, because that's often how people describe the Klipsch sound.
Hi, love the channel! Me and my girlfriend do these kind things too! I am a big nerd when it comes to sound, and my gf is/was not. When I introduced her to better sound with headphones, speakers, amps, dacs, and so on, the one thing she was most amazed about was going from Spotify to Flac files, Qobuz, DSD and such. From ear fatigue to bliss if I use her words. Maybe try that with your wife in a future video? 😊👍
I'm just now seeing your comment. I have over 90 videos on my channel that are Klipsch videos. I guess I could have added links to various Klipsch models, but let's be real. What is the likelihood that this video is going to cause someone to look at the description and click on my link to purchase the RF7 III's. It's much more likely that they watch one of my other 90 videos and those videos help them to make that decision.
Great Review , the point of view ( or listening ) from our Wife is important . My Wife is more into elevator volume ( super soft volume ) in other part i like it loud . Having the right speakers keep a happy medium . In my case I got the Klipsh RF7 III and they are great for us ( she hate the SVS PB 2000 pro we have 😅🔉)!
You make a really good point about forgetting how something sounded and also how difficult an A/B comparison can be even when you only have a few seconds to pull banana plugs. I find a better test is much longer listening periods, oftentimes a brighter speaker sounds better next to a less lively one but listen to music for a few hours and your opinion may really change. Currently I have the RF-7's in my livingroom, I really like them but i feel I've maybe also just gotten use to the brighter Klipsch sound. Prior to them I had a nice set of JBL's which are in my basement now, the JBL's weren't quite as efficient and lacked the punch and bottom end of the Klipsch but had a bit more warmth in the midrange. As much as we love listening to music in our home, my wife and I spent a lot of time attending live music performances, oftentimes acoustic shows in friends livingrooms or small venues with excellent sound systems. No matter how great your speakers and amps nothing can really compare to the raw sound of un-amplified individual instruments only feet away. I'm a music photographer and oftentimes I'm on stage 10' away from a horn section of a jazz ensemble... still haven't heard any stereo reproduce that kind of energy, and a live drum kit before it goes through the PA... forget about it :)
Great review. I am going to order a pair of the F100’s to upgrade up from ML 35XtiI I just sold. I see that the motion series changed a lot and is more neutral extend lower and overall smoother now. But I just saw the Motion 60’s at an insane price drop almost half of the cost of the F100! Are the new F100 much improved to justify the price difference? I don’t mind paying extra because this will me my end speakers. But if is a very subtle difference is hard to ignore the 60’s @ $988.00 each vs $2245 each. I appreciate your input.
Great video! Even she noticed the difference between the two speakers! There is more " body" in the midrange when there is an actual midrange driver. Looks like it's a great reason to switch to Marten Logan speakers! You should try Focal Aria speakers, they're just amazing!!
It’s been a long time since I reviewed the L 700. I remember really enjoying them but I don’t recall being as excited about how they sound as the F200’s do.
@@Youthman thats says alot, you probably have better ears than I do and if your excited then theres alot to say about them F200, thanks alot man I do appreciate your input
Hi Michael. I’ve listened to the RF7 ||| but never heard a listen of the MartinLogan F200. From listening in your room, which one wins in the bass department?
The F200's have a much better midrange and top end than the RF7's due to their 3-way design, dedicated midrange driver and folded motion tweeter. The RF7 III's have slightly better bottom end.
I’m not sure it’s a matter of having cajones. I just really enjoyed the Martin Logan 60XTi’s and was interested to see how they compare to my RF7 III’s.
I thought that I would bring to your attention something I had happened to me with my pair of RF-7III speakers. The reason I bring this up was due to the reporting of the weakness in the midrange clarity compared to the Martin Logan speakers. My original pair had some mfg. defects on the cabinets that I blew off but later decided to contact Klipsch. Klipsch felt the speakers were not up to their standards, so they replaced my pair. I didn't feel there was anything wrong with the sound of my previous set, just cosmetic flaws. The new pair, when installed, sounded completely different than my original pair. There we're 3 significant changes: 1. Top end air and extension 2. Base output and dynamic range. 3. Midrange clarity The speaker's top woofer now had a very clear presence. I found that although it's technically a 2-way crossover, it functions as a 2.5 crossover. The GR Research review performed more like my old set you needed to sit almost to the top of the bottom woofer to get midrange clarity and presence. Again I'm just surprised that you heard what I heard. I went as far and contacted the Klipsch factory in Arkansas to see if any changes had been made. I actually talked with the supervisor who orders all the parts. I was told no component changes had been made.
What do you mean a burned Klipsch for a new pair? The RF7 III are still phenomenal speakers. The F200’s have better midrange due to being a 3-way design and having a dedicated midrange driver. My JTR 212HTR speakers have even better Midrange than the Martin Logan‘s. Does that mean I burned Martin Logan?
Hey youthman my wife also loves quality sounding stuff not so much big speakers but must be articulate please send some music and movie demos of the klipsch and Martin logan thanks and have a blessed Sunday 🙏🙏🙏
I have old Martin Logan motion 10 and even on those I heard things I never heard with my other speakers. Now for movies I would guess the Klipsch would be better overall but for music I like Martin Logan. I need to update them lol😎
Jessica and I have had an amazing marriage over the past 26 years. Never had a yelling match or knock down drag out fight. Much of that is a result of mutual love, respect for each other. It works for us.
My wife goes through the TV menus and turns off the speaker audio in both my theater and the living room stereo setup. Both are room corrected to flat and are over 30k per setup. I even have tried having room eq save states for zero bass. It simply comes down to she doesn't like change and says she doesn't care to hear the difference. I wish TVs had a faster option for me to change audio modes than 6 seconds of clicking the remote.
Nice change of pace video. I enjoy this type of video as it is genuine. I still look at the video where you had a friend come over and A/B the AVR vs Processor. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Michael! - The "wife factor" is important. This just shows how subjective the whole experience is, My wife notices almost nothing, be it a screen change, or adding twice as many subs. She might "nod" as I explain the change, but honestly, she could care less (as long as I don't spend ALL of our retirement money) on "sound & vision" - lol
Another speaker brand that uses the same tweeter technology as Martin Logan is Emotiva. I own a pair and they sound very clear, great soundstage and very affordable.
Similar with my wife, likes listening to music, but doesn't sit down to listen. I have her set up with her system, as she's intimidated by mine ( thankfully 😄). But she does hear a pretty noticeable difference in sound quality between the two.
True 3-way speaker with dedicated midrange driver versus a 2-way design with relatively big ** woofers. As soon she shaid vocal clarity the first time, it was obvious for me that she will pick the Logans and why.
Definitely a different sound between the two technologies. Neither being inherently bad, just different. The mid range is the most notable difference between the two. I’m actually surprised Jessica picked up on that. I’m proud of her 😀
Would be interesting if Jessica could hear differently having hair behind her ears. Seems like she has her right ear covered (with hair) vs. the left open. * Being someone with almost all white speakers I sure do appreciate the color. I am even contemplating to make white grill sock and wrap end caps on my center LCR-3000 DefTec.
you miss the point of setting up the speaker. the klipch RF7 Mk3 have to be on spike too to be the same standard as F200 not just cheap stock rubber feet. stock rubber feet vs stock spike have different sound on my set up. the vocal are clearer. The Ribbon tweeter are the best for clarity can't compare to the Horn that meant for Power, loud and efficiency. have a nice day Youthman. love your great video
@@Youthman ya i could tell at least in my room with laminate floor. The floor is not completely flat. The spike will make sure the weight is 100% transfer to 4 point of contact and thats how physic come into play, that is why some decoupling stuff can make a big different. You should try it make your speaker transform. I can guarantee coz my rf7 iii is on hifistay and his sound is soooo clear that i will never go back ever.
I’ve personally tried it with them without spike feet, and with and without rubber feet. I heard zero difference. If they are not flat to begin with (like a warped floor) that’s definitely not good as they could potentially move but even then, it’s difficult to move a 100lb soeaker. I’ve never had uneven flooring.
I like very much the way you did this comparison. Women have better ears than man. I'm not a big fan of klipsh speakers but to be fair you have to make the comparison with 3 ways klipsh speakers.
Mr. Stevens, This video is great and I have to say; do to the wise choices you have made in your life you, Sir, are a very lucky man! Please have a great day, Kevin
The one problem with your recommendation. Is how do you listen to as many as you can, when there are no stores that you can go listen to speakers. Today everything is buy on line. Same problem with photography, there are no camera stores anymore.
I totally get it. That’s why we try to provide as much information as we can as content creators and reviewer’s to help you make the best decision on what would work best for your budget, styling, and the sound you’re looking for.
And I do thank you for all you do. I built my theater room for watching people like you. I’ve never done anything like that, learned it all off TH-cam. Never heard good speakers before, I I tried going to Best Buy, no good there, so I went to the only professional place in Knoxville TN, they had nothing there. I ended up just going with all Monoprice, and I’m very happy.
Turn them up Klipsch rf-7 III don't start talking until you put the power to them. I have a Marantz 8015 and the Klipsch rf-7 volume level of 50 you can barely hear them. Not a really good test from where I'm setting. Crank then bad boys up, both set of speakers! 😂
Unless they are calibrated to reference, 50 volume on a TV or AVR is irrelevant as it will be different SPL on different devices. See this video on Reference Level th-cam.com/video/FOvBLVf085M/w-d-xo.html
I forgot to mention originally it was on just a SoundBase Pro from SVS, but the second AB we did just minutes before making that video was the SoundBase Pro connected to my Acurus A200 (200x2) amp.
Hi Youthman. Can you answer me honestly to some question? You are interested in cinema speakers! Then there are many speakers that work well even if they don't have the best sound quality! Too many times on different youtube channels, they have been proven how bad KLIPSCH speakers are! This has also been proven many times with microphone measurements! Measuring result on the speaker itself, the element does not measure very well either. A youtube channel in particular receives MANY klipsch speakers from customers who are not satisfied with the sound quality! After a microphone measurement and a look at the speaker crossover, I understand why so many people don't like Klipsch! Klipsch makes ofte mk2, mk3. of speakers. the reason is that they ofte make bigger mistakes that they correct! My question is the following. 1. How often do you listen to proper sound quality speakers in a stereo setup? 2. Do you have any experience with how proper sound quality should sound and how the speaker crossover filter should and should not be made?
I have toured over 50 Home Theaters, each utilizing various speakers and configurations. I personally have owned over 50 pair of Klipsch speakers and have enjoYed most of them. Are there better speakers am than Klipsch, Absolutely. Do I still enjoy their sound? Absolutely. Klipsch is a VERY polarizing brand. You either love them or hate them.
@@Youthman I understand. I can give you the facts! Measure data don't lie! If you watch (gr research) his videos during approx. 4 years, then you know what I'm talking about. You probably don't have such high demands on the sound quality!
Youthman, I love everything that you do. I admire your dedication and your kindness always shines through. I’m saying this with the most love and respect I can because I don’t want to offend you… Please fix your hair, my brother. It looks like a helmet. Have whoever does your hair fade it up on the sides. I’m 44 and receding already, but fades make all the difference. If you or your wife do your hair, it’s easy to learn how to fade, I promise! Fading will help you with the straight hairline. You don’t want it to be the Dumb and Dumber Jim Carey haircut our Mom’s would want to try to give my brother and I in the early 80’s. Ha!! Everyone LOVES you, but I’m trying to help you. You can even delete my post after you read it. I wouldn’t be offended at all. I don’t even want anyone else to think I’m putting you down. I’ll say it again and smiling as I’m typing it. Love ya, don’t get offended. You will thank me later! You’ll know because people will start saying that your hair looks good because they didn’t want to say it looked bad before. It’s like you’re always wearing a hat, but respectfully take off the hat because you’re indoors or on camera, but didn’t have time to style it. I’m not saying you need a hard part or anything, but a fade and slight brush to one side or even messing it up so it doesn’t look like it’s straight forward and straight across. Keep making the videos. You will always have a viewer in me. If you’re ever near Maryland, I’d love to see you home theater guys. 💛
Klipsch needs to do a lot better. Simply put, the price that Klipsch is asking for this defective product, the RF7 III, is outrageous and needs to be addressed.
Of course it is. If you are spending $5,000 on a pair of speakers, $5,500 is only 9.5% difference. Comparing a $5,000 pair of speakers to a $10,000 pair of speakers would be unfair.
My wife will give me her instant opinion on my sound set up, but if I start to geek out on technical details she will kindly tell me to pipe down and just listen to the music.😅
There is no doubt men and women "hear" things differently (no jokes here, please 🤣). My wife hates loud music (anything above conversational level) and I like music mid to loud. Like Jessica, my wife gets instantly bored when I try to "man'splain" crossover points, woofers, tweeters, amps etc. If I asked my wife if she had seen my banana plugs she's likely to look in the kitchen with the other fruit. But ask her what she likes and she can tell you. I can tell you what I like too, but I have to think about it first. Great vid, Michael and Jessica. I learn something every time I watch.
I love it!!!! When she was describing what she liked I was sure she was going to pick the Klipsch. Very surprised with her pick. BTW, I accidentally hit the thumbs down button when I was going to hit the like button. If you get a notification of a dislike from me please disregard! LOL! I would give this 2 thumbs up if I could. Keep up the great work!
Actually she was correct. I ended up selling my RF7 III's. The F200's have a much better midrange and top end due to their dedicated midrange driver, 3-way design and folded motion tweeter.
@@Youthmanwanted to ask you for a while about the outside setup. You made pretty involved video of that installation but nothing since. I happen to be at someone's house with 3 buried subs (like yours).
I’m not sure what other content I would make on it. We’ve been using it since those videos whenever we grill out, cook, pizza, or chill by the fireplace.
@@gearmonkey5904 You stated the the RF7 III's were better than the F200's. The midrange on the MartinLogan due to their dedicated midrange driver and 3-way design provides much better dialogue. I'm not sure what mentally challenged has to do with that.

Love your real life reviews and how you are “Just an average Joe”!! You and your Mrs are amazing!!
Thank you kindly Scott. Yes I’ve never tried to claim to be the expert or the authority. I’m just a home theater enthusiast, sharing my love and passion with the world.
If klipsch can figure out how to make a midrange, I would def buy their speakers.
Klipsch needs a 3 way tower. Especially with the 8000f ii now having the cabinet bracing and all that. The mark IV just needs a big refresh. At high volumes the rf7iiis are better but i feel they need to gap the rp line to the heritage line better
This is nice😊
She seems like a warm and gentle person😊
Hearing good things about MartinLogan’s F200 range of speakers. They do look good in your home as does that quilt on your couch. Jessica is a fun addition to the channel.
100% agree with your comment❤
Thank you kindly. We like to have fun together. You’ll likely see her in future videos. Probably not every one, but she’ll pop in from time to time

Thank you
Great video Michael! Jessica is such a good sport. 👍This would be a great video for a couple to watch if they are considering a sound system.
Thanks Jared. Looking forward to seeing you this week at MWAVE 2023!
@@Youthman Really looking forward to meeting you too Michael!

I’m curious did you try the center channel? If so how would you rate it? Subjective I know just looking for your opinion thanks.
I have not hooked up any other speakers yet. I was super busy preparing for MWAVE, currently am trying to get all of my videos, edited from the event, and then next week I’m flying to Charlotte, North Carolina for Audio Advice Live.
@@Youthman
Ok thanks. I know you are busy just thought I would ask.
I think I read somewhere that our audible memory is about four seconds. It’s crazy short.
@KimmoJaskari Very true. Critical thinking is tricky when we try make subjective judgements.
The rf7 iii will blows those tiny sounds of the rp away and turn them into rear surround.
Love my motion 60xti, 50xti and rear 40xti even without having a sub since mine blew up. Missing so much without a sub though.
Truly phenomenal speakers
Actually bought Martin Logan motion speakers a couple years ago and your review was one that influenced me. Loved that she picked those over the Klipsch. Nothing against them, just I also preferred the MLs because they made it sound more like I was there. Great video
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you’re still enjoying your speakers.
Where is the full review of the xt f100, how is the center channel for it?
I’ve been traveling a LOT. Haven’t unboxed it but it’s coming
@Youthman
Nice... hope the travels have been well, looking forward to the review.
Finally... the true audiophile of the house is speaking up!! 😁
Hey, I have never once claimed to be an audiophile. But according to Jessica, at least I have fancy vocabulary 🤣🤣🤣
Was this an ad or a review ?
BTW, the ML's are 1,100$ more per pair.
It was a review. I always disclose when a video is sponsored. FYI, I don’t accept any sponsored reviews.
Now you have me curious. What makes you question whether it was an ad or a sponsored video?
@@YouthmanYou have links for several ML's but not a single Klipsch.
Which is better for home theater?
Question the 8000 F 11 compared to the RF 7111 which ones do you like better?
RF7III
I really like the 8000 but the RF7 III is a much better speaker. I love the massive 1.75” compression driver.
What did you end up with?
I auditioned some B&W N805 diamonds 3 years ago. All I can remember was how terrible the tweeter was.
Great video! Even she noticed the difference between the two speakers! There is more " body" in the midrange when there is an actual midrange driver. Looks like it's a great reason to switch to Marten Logan speakers! You should try Focal Aria speakers, they're just amazing!!
will these XT speakers make bad recordings more evident? or make low quality audio from movies sound bad?
As with most speakers, garbage in = garbage out.
@@Youthman indeed, between the polk L700 and these XT F200 are there similar or is there no comparison with the XT on top?
It’s been a long time since I reviewed the L 700. I remember really enjoying them but I don’t recall being as excited about how they sound as the F200’s do.
@@Youthman thats says alot, you probably have better ears than I do and if your excited then theres alot to say about them F200, thanks alot man I do appreciate your input
Hi Michael. I’ve listened to the RF7 ||| but never heard a listen of the MartinLogan F200. From listening in your room, which one wins in the bass department?
The RF7s.
The F200's have a much better midrange and top end than the RF7's due to their 3-way design, dedicated midrange driver and folded motion tweeter. The RF7 III's have slightly better bottom end.
@ 👊🏾
About time someone had the cojones to review the F 200's - Crickets out there on the F 200's - nobody's touching them!
I’m not sure it’s a matter of having cajones. I just really enjoyed the Martin Logan 60XTi’s and was interested to see how they compare to my RF7 III’s.
Are you still planning a full review of the Martin Logan?
Absolutely. 👍
@@Youthman great! Looking forward to it as they are on my shortlist !
You should demo the paradigm founder 100f. They are also really good
I thought that I would bring to your attention something I had happened to me with my pair of RF-7III speakers.
There we're 3 significant changes:
1. Top end air and extension
The wife hears everything 😅
What do you mean a burned Klipsch for a new pair? The RF7 III are still phenomenal speakers. The F200’s have better midrange due to being a 3-way design and having a dedicated midrange driver.
My JTR 212HTR speakers have even better Midrange than the Martin Logan‘s. Does that mean I burned Martin Logan?
Thanks for clarification because I was confused 🤣 Have a great day.
I was just happy that a large company fully stood behind their products. KUDOS to Klipsch.
Hey youthman my wife also loves quality sounding stuff not so much big speakers but must be articulate please send some music and movie demos of the klipsch and
Martin logan thanks and have a blessed Sunday 🙏🙏🙏
I have old Martin Logan motion 10 and even on those I heard things I never heard with my other speakers. Now for movies I would guess the Klipsch would be better overall but for music I like Martin Logan. I need to update them lol😎
Also everything sounds so close that nothing is night and day difference so that also makes it hard to pick
The wife acceptance factor is a real thing we all struggle with.
"all". Not myself. Not going to say the way I go about it because it sounds braggadocious.
That would be frustrating for sure
Nice change of pace video. I enjoy this type of video as it is genuine. I still look at the video where you had a friend come over and A/B the AVR vs Processor. Keep up the good work.
@youthman What is your opinion on The Martin Logans vs RF7iii ?
I’ll share my thoughts in my review.
Have you done a review of the Klipsch rp 600ii at all just asking cause not everyone can afford thousands of dollars on big floor speakers
I have the RP-600M II in for review
Can't wait to see the review thank you
I love her description of the sound. Very truthful.
I knew the answer when i saw the two speaker brands mentioned. No, the answer didn't surprise me. 🎉
Michael and Jessica are a beautiful living breathing example of God's love in the real world.
Thank you kindly Tristan.
Thanks Michael! - The "wife factor" is important.
This just shows how subjective the whole experience is,
My wife notices almost nothing, be it a screen change, or adding twice as many subs.
Very cool
Similar with my wife, likes listening to music, but doesn't sit down to listen. I have her set up with her system, as she's intimidated by mine ( thankfully 😄).
But she does hear a pretty noticeable difference in sound quality between the two.
True 3-way speaker with dedicated midrange driver versus a 2-way design with relatively big ** woofers. As soon she shaid vocal clarity the first time, it was obvious for me that she will pick the Logans and why.
Also, I think the horn tweeter vs a compression drive makes a difference as well...Great Point!
Definitely a different sound between the two technologies. Neither being inherently bad, just different. The mid range is the most notable difference between the two. I’m actually surprised Jessica picked up on that. I’m proud of her 😀
@@Youthman Hey Youthman!

Do you think she wears her hair in front of her ears all the time?
@Youthman in the video -,just one :) For the purity of the test (I am joking here) would be interesting if there is a (any) difference.
Yeah, honestly I don’t know I’ve always had short hair
you miss the point of setting up the speaker.
the klipch RF7 Mk3 have to be on spike too to be the same standard as F200 not just cheap stock rubber feet.
stock rubber feet vs stock spike have different sound on my set up. the vocal are clearer.
The Ribbon tweeter are the best for clarity can't compare to the Horn that meant for Power, loud and efficiency.
have a nice day Youthman. love your great video
I hate to say it, but there’s no way you would be able to tell the difference in a blind test, whether or not you were using spikes or rubber feet.
Hey Michael 😊
Hey thanks it was helpful
Glad to hear it Michael
How cute is she? You are WINNING!!! 🤘
I've always thought my Klipsch RF7III's were the clearest speakers out there. However, I have not demoed ML.
The detail you are hearing is likely due to the elevated top end. The main difference I’m hearing is in the mid range.
I like very much the way you did this comparison. Women have better ears than man. I'm not a big fan of klipsh speakers but to be fair you have to make the comparison with 3 ways klipsh speakers.
She picked the white speakers because of color (the rest is BS).
What was BS?
I would love to here both of them
Mr. Stevens, This video is great and I have to say; do to the wise choices you have made in your life you, Sir, are a very lucky man! Please have a great day, Kevin
Thanks Kevin. I find the harder I work, the luckier I become. Have a great week.
I’ll say these fellas aren’t big and bulky you can pretty much fit them anywhere compared to old school 15 inch huge speakers
When Klipsch decides to make a 3 way RF, look out!
That would be cool. Klipsch owners have been asking for it for years.
I’m truly grateful that my videos have been helpful for your journey
Turn them up Klipsch rf-7 III don't start talking until you put the power to them. I have a Marantz 8015 and the Klipsch rf-7 volume level of 50 you can barely hear them. Not a really good test from where I'm setting. Crank then bad boys up, both set of speakers! 😂
Unless they are calibrated to reference, 50 volume on a TV or AVR is irrelevant as it will be different SPL on different devices.
See this video on Reference Level th-cam.com/video/FOvBLVf085M/w-d-xo.html
@@Youthman meant to ask you, are the speakers on a amp. Or is it just the avr? Thanks

Klipsch makes ofte
mk2, mk3. of speakers. the reason is that they ofte make bigger mistakes that they correct!
If you watch
(gr research) his videos during approx. 4 years, then you know what I'm talking about.
You probably don't have such high demands on the sound quality!
You should use your wife more on this, it was interesting hearing her talk
Thanks she has appeared in several of my videos.
The word is melodic or melodically. Melodical isn't really a word.
Yeah, I made that one up 🤣

I’m saying this with the most love and respect I can because I don’t want to offend you…
Please fix your hair, my brother.
Defective? I’ve been enjoying my RF7 III’s for the past 5 years. Nothing defective about them.
Klipsch needs to do better.@@Youthman
Not really a fair comparison there is a $550 difference in price here.
Of course it is. If you are spending $5,000 on a pair of speakers, $5,500 is only 9.5% difference.
Comparing a $5,000 pair of speakers to a $10,000 pair of speakers would be unfair.
Sorry, but "melodical" is not a word!
It’s a Youthamism
My wife will give me her instant opinion on my sound set up, but if I start to geek out on technical details she will kindly tell me to pipe down and just listen to the music.😅
🤣🤣🤣 keep it simple
I love this. 🤣
Like the video but now you just have to get her to remove the stuff she likes and you dont out of every room and put it into a dedicated room.
