NOOOOOOICE!!!!...Loving the videos...helps me get thru my cancer treatments...was diagnosed Feb 2020 with terminal cancer ...so I like to deep dive into my love of guitars...had to sell most everything I own just to afford the 3 hr trip to Seattle and back...I'll be doing this every 3 weeks for the remainder of my life...my dream set up would be the EVH 5150 III LBX-S INTO A 2X12 cab ..or the 1x12 EVH 5150 iconic...of course it would be a EVH Wolfgang Standard in Chlorine Burst...or even better my all time favorite guitar the OG EVH 5150 rwb striped...but that's just dreaming....love the vids...I live for it and all the other great channels....i have my Oncologist and nurses head bangin every visit!!!

I’ve gotta say Invective hands down I’ve had mine for a year now and it’s such a brutal amplifier with the tones! Before that I had an EVH brand 5150iii and Mesa recto 25 watt I sold those to get my Invective 120! Best musical purchase I ever made, the EVH was nice don’t get me wrong but it’s so tight and there’s nothing you can do about that part of the amplifier, the Invective on the other hand gave me so many more options it’s tight but not to the point that it sounds thin and if you want it tighter you can use the onboard boost which allows for more tones. Sometimes I’ll run without the boost to get that loose bigger sound and it’s awesome that the Invective allows you to do that. At the end of the we all have our own opinions both are cool, I just chose the Invective for my tastes, great video man! 🤘

Hey man, thanks again for your walkthrough and comparison between the two. I got the 100watt Stealth since a couple of days now and it is killer! Superior in every aspect (and without all the fiddeling regarding master boost/channel master/main master). I’m not saying the Invective is a bad amp - I once bought it for a reason, but in the end it is too similar to keep them both… thanks again, and thanks Eddie 🙌

EVH Stealth all the way.
I really like the Green Channel on the 100 Watt Stealth to be honest. I wish the 50 Watt Stealth could get that Drive as you cranked up the Gain on the Green Channel.
The 50w green channel stealth has it too it sounds the same but with a little less headroom, logging around with the 100w stealth is a back breaker, but if you just want it for home use is fine.
@@metallion0738 I have the 50 watt Stealth and no way can I get that drive on that channel. its' clean that's it, maybe some breakup cranked.

Great demo. Awesome amps. My side note to potential buyers of the invective. The invective was designed to be used with the invective cab...which is pine...and uses the V30/Creamback 75. The pine cab makes a big difference. I much much much prefer it with the pine invective cab over Baltic birch cabs. Comes alive big time.

I own the invective and it is a total beast. I don’t feel like this demo did the invective justice.
We all know the stealth blue channel is king but invective is right there with it … imo🤘😎
Stealth as rhythm then Invective as solo and upper mids.
The Stealth is just crushing in the lower grind of the guitars on the main riff.
But that harmonic you play in that riff, to me the Peavy Invective has a little more shine and top end there that really makes that part shine through.
Maybe a little more mids on the Stealth to get the best of both worlds.
No doubt about it, if I were to buy another amp in this category, I’d go with the Stealth.
I’m after a Engl Fireball II right now, but that Savage you had on one of your vids really sounds better. I’m after a really good amp that will have everything I need from a distortion channel in a stock amp without a lot of pedals.

We play a few classic rockers where I will need that heavy overdrive but I will be using pedals for that, the rest of the song list includes a heavy does of funk and R&B. Which one would you recommend for me ? The invective is advertised as having a phenominal clean.
Man it's tough to find an amplifier that will do all of that. Have you considered going digital?
I always wanted to see the Peavey invictive vs EVH 5150 III stealth and I'm glad I finally found this shoot out here at your TH-cam channel bro. The Invictive sounds real good but the stealth sounds way better and clearer all around in my opinion, now I have no doubts pulling the trigger on the stealth, it sounds sick. 🎼🎸🤘🏻🍻
I owned the Invective for over a year and didn't care for it at all. To this day it has been my biggest gear let down. I sold it and never missed it for a second. I just ordered the Stealth yesterday so we will see how that goes.

I think you did the right thing 'cause I heard other reviews about the Invicta being a let down although on TH-cam videos sounds real good, I heard that the Stealth cuts good in the mix even the Stealth 50w head is just as good but with a little less headroom. I own the regular EVH 5050 III 50w head and sounds real good, except that the clean channel green and the crunch channel blue both share the same channel with no individual volume pots, the new generation of these amps do have separate channels, now if the regular EVH 5153 50w or 100w sound good I have no reason to doubt that the Stealth is a beast. I actually that that the Invictive was a better choice for the money but this video proves me wrong and now with your own experience with the Peavy Invictive I'm positive to purchase the Stealth when I get my tax return bro.

Stealth offers no Built-in boost, no built-in gate, no XLR out..... I would say the Invective gives you far more bang for the buck. Tone is subjective.
The boost and the gate is not a deal breaker and as far as the XLR you can buy an XLR adapter for only $20 bucks, the Stealth has an overall better sound but the Invective still sounds bad ass.
EVH wins this one pretty easily IMO. Brighter, tighter with more note clarity and seperation. There was some noticeable high end fizz on the Peavey that I wasn't too fond of.
Personally I don't like the mid honk on the stealth I found I like my invective paired with fishman moderns and Maxon 808 tube screamer massive riffs machine that in my opinion is the most articulate push it and every note rings noise gate for the djenty fast staccato style does classic rock well and I nice clean I believe it's the better amp with more usable options especially out of the box you can save on the noise gate and boost is passable not the best but I believe for a lot of players wallets saving off the bat in those items helps sorry long rant just opinion

Intersting you say “mid honk” on the stealth. The stealth is actually kind of mid scooped. I sold mine for that reason. My peavey 6505+ just had way more mids and cut way better in a band practice and live setting. It has a bit of that cocked wah thing, but I’m a fan. I’d assume the invective is also a lot more mid focused than the stealth if it really is based on an actual 5150.
if put the presence on cero in the invective, react good, more 6505

Misha and his style of playing and his style of music is not even on my radar at all, and I didn't know that he was a "GUITAR SUPERSTAR"? I personally don't know why peavey chose him to make a peavey signature amplifier is beyond me 👽.just my opinion folks love me or hate me I don't care 🤘🤘.I am not a fan of peavey amps so it ain't hurting me earlier way 😁

I own both amps, and i absolutely hate that Peavey so much. The EVH is miles ahead. And I love Peavey's. I own a triple x, classic 50,6505,6534, and a ultra 120. To me where the Peavey shines with this amp( at least to me) is lower tuning. I have PRS baritone, and a few guitars that are drop c#. And those sound pretty good with this amp. Other than that, in my opinion of course it's not for me. But if you like it, that's the amp for you. You made the right choice. And what happened to the drift wood? I know people asked, but I guess I missed it.

I see you have a Peavey 6534+, that has to be one of my favorite amps I have out of the 5. It's just fun to play and has that Mid range Growl/Bark I love. I had a JSX and I am still looking for another one if I can get it in the right price these days, those are cool amps to.

@@amirtak9886 I ordered a 6505+ Years ago from Musicians friend and they actually sent me the 6534+ by mistake. I was so impressed with it, I sent it back for the 6505+ thinking it was going to be so much better, i was wrong.. 6534+ for me all day.
I don't know how Peavey did it, but they managed to make a 120w tube head sound like it was coming out of 4 inch speakers. Which is in and of itself a huge feat, and through V30s no less. I would hate to have to listen to it through an average cab with cheap speakers in it (think Sheffield's or 70/80s). Really sounds like it only enjoys the suuuuper low tunings. Might as well just use a 6505, as lifeless as they are they will at least punch the speakers out a bit. Thanks for the video J- it's important for the guys and gals to hear this before buying off the floor because it has a Signature name on it.

Jesus christ that is way too much gain on the Invective. I keep mine low and get the gain from harder picking. Also the Rhythm channel is much better sounding with a boost. It depends on what you are looking for to be honest. I like much tighter sounding amps and that's why to me the Invective sounds much better. I will say the EVH is more aggressive but just too much going on and looses string definition.
The Invictive is a great amp and is still expensive, the Stealth is more expensive, sounds more agressive if you need to but it also have an overall balance sound from what I hear, but I cannot afford either one of them at this time.
My god the peavey sounded really muddy
