非常感谢!Great and useful as always! You are spot on about also explaining in Chinese, that is perfect as comprehensible input. I just wanted to say that however, you don´t necessarily need to stick to this format of explaining vocab and expressions. For example, in my opinion, your personal experience and description of the two channels, even if unrelated to Chinese, were quite interesting. So as long as you give us the CC Chinese subtitles, I think you could change the format sometimes for a change if you wish and I would be totally satisfied if you just talked about anything interesting, without the need to explain. The Chinese input is useful enough, especially with your clear voice and style.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Would you mind if I shared mine? I appreciate this channel's unique format, where the host gently explains a few words or phrases that don't break the overall podcast flow. And even though some of these words may be familiar to us at times, it does no harm to have a refresher because the short explanation is in Chinese, so it's still a Chinese listening practice. On the other hand, there are countless channels out there where the host speaks only Chinese with good CHN/ENG subtitles, just like you described. The downside of these channels is that as Mandarin learners, we may miss the meaning of some words and expressions along the way. And in the end, in order to fully understand the meaning and use of these words, we will have to stop the video and look them up in a dictionary. Therefore, by trying to stay at an intermediate HSK4 level and explaining a few words and expressions above that level, Vivian does a perfect job, especially as she concludes with an attractive recap of the new vocabulary. That's why I subscribed to this channel and hope the format stays that way.
