At 8:39 the on-screen text says : 不相信. But the audio says : 不敢相信. It seems that 不敢相信 is so common that Chinese people just can't say it without the 敢. 🙂

最后一根稻草 = the last straw (to break the camel's back) 抓住救命稻草 = grasping/clutching at straws (to try to avoid drowning) In English, these expressions are very common. It's interesting that they have equivalents in Chinese.

她有写日记的习惯。 This is probably the best way to say "She keeps a diary". In English, we would not usually say "She has a habit of keeping a diary". But, in Chinese, I think it's probably better to include 有…的习惯. … 描述你所看到的图片 = "Describe the picture that you see" The grammar book says "所 is an optional item before the verb of a modifying phrase ending with 的". So I think that 所 could be omitted in the above phrase. But for certain verbs (such as 在 when it means "to be (somewhere)" I think that 所 cannot be omitted. For example : 描述你所在的城市 = "Describe the city where you are" … 他(连)想都没想 = "He didn't even think about it" This is a grammatical structure that took me a long time to figure out. When 连 means "even", it must be followed by a noun. A negated verb (such as 没想) cannot function as a noun. But a plain verb (such as 想 ("to think")) can function as a noun. So, it may seem puzzling, but 想 appears two times in the above phrase. Literally: "Even to think, he didn't think"
