In my opinion, this exhaust is the PERFECT one to have! When I get my H-D Sportster S, this is the exhaust I'll get.
It’s awesome it’s that heat the needs to be fix and the pipe will be perfect 👍🏼
First Harley I've ever been interested in buying. They did an awesome job with this bike.

Excellent video. Thank you, Sir! I am still on the fence; I love the look and the sound, but worry a little bit about touching the uninsulated pipe with my leg. I’m working on a custom build with new Apollo wheels, powder-coated to match the bronze highlights, a Corbin seat, custom front fender and faring, and an exposed pulley. I’m also adding the TBR fender eliminator to set my rear wheel free. Right now I’m planning to powder-coat the header and mufflers flat black so cost of a new TBR exhaust would be about the same, plus it will look and sound better. Thanks again for your videos.

your gonna burn your leg for sure and the fast idle on these bikes do not need to a loud exhaust that makes them sound bad. leave it alone.
@@roccoelefante3926 I ended up going with a Jekill and Hyde exhaust 2 into 1, which looks great with the carbon fiber heat shield and the tone is much more throaty without being obnoxiously loud.

Thanks for taking the time to post! My concern with the TBR is the heat and will be looking forward to your next video on the issue. Is there enough room to wrap the pipe and would it make a difference? Second question TBR website states Cat Delete did your bike throw any check engine lights? Thanks again, great video...
No problem, the heat is a issue unfortunately Kinda sucks. I wrapped it I think I made it worse lol I unfortunately been having a check engine light it’s a camshaft position sensor.
@@ChrisKrewz Thanks for the quick response! Maybe I'll wait till V&H releases. When I checked with them they said it won't be until late this year. The heat is troublesome...at 64, I'm not as tough as I used to be.....lol
ugly rag wrap makes them look damaged and holds moisture when cooled
Great video, new subscriber. I really don't notice too much of a difference (in person I'm sure you can tell). Sounds a little better at higher RPMs without the baffle but lower RPMs sounds the same

Thinking about getting this pipe and a kodlin suspension lift “this bike sits to low imo and needs more clearance” did you notice any power gain?
I’m good with the suspension for now I love the pipe BUT it gets to damn hot like super hot. I did something to kinda fix it I’ll be posting it on my next video. Yes definitely some power gains almost fell off lol 😂

Think your dealer would honor your warranty? I really want the TBR exhaust, but my dealer is pretty adamant about getting it tuned to maintain a warranty- and they don’t have the capability currently- so I’m keeping it stock for now
Yeah my dealership Told me they would suggest me to get it tuned I asked if it would void warranty without it . He told me no unless it does damage to the motor and I didn’t have a tune they wouldn’t warranty it
Do you have to get a new fuel injection map last onto your fuel injection module when you change exhaust?
Your suggested to get a new tune I haven’t done so and it’s running good so far With no issues.
great video, I am waiting for my HD store to receive the TB Exhaust but unfortunately when recording on cell phones you cannot really listen if the sound is much louder than the original exhaust. Is it very loud? I just want that to be pretty loud so damn traffic could also listen to me coming from the sides... I also want to feel that sound on the bike. Would you say it is really loud or just a bit? Thank you so much in advance

Great bikes, i wont say anything negative about it, but me personally realy miss the looks and sound of the old sportsters.
This is my first Harley so this is all I know. All I would say so don’t knock it if you haven’t heard it in person. 🤘🏼
@@ChrisKrewz hehe, I won’t, i will never do that with any bike😉. Its just different as the previous models, but the engine is also different, so its normal. Its a great bike and im sure it will grow on me in the future. Have great rides with it🤘

Did you notice and difference with power delivery through the RPM range going from stock, to the TBR pipe, to baffle removed?
I have heard this can do the bike a disservice….
Did you do anything else related to the engine? Tuning, flash, fuel management system or a air box/filter mod?

I haven’t noticed and lost or gain in power but a placebo effect from the exhaust sound so it feels a bit faster lol it I would recommend keeping the baffle just for the back pressure if you haven’t tuned it. No mode but the exhaust unfortunately would like to do air filter and a tune just so the bikes runs healthy:)
From this video it looks like your roads a little rough how do you feel about the limited suspension travel in the rear? I’m thinking about buying a sportster s
Unfortunately, depends on your weight I’m 180 it’s fine you can adjust a bit the travel is short
Can you still install the passenger pillion with this exhaust system/license plate adjustment? It seems like the extra fender piece required for the pillion would cover the license plate. Anyone know?

Hey brotha, what do think about this being a possible first bike? Do the different power modes and low seat height make it more approachable?
Honestly my opinion I think any bike can be a first bike depends on the rider and how they make their decisions. The power modes help so does the seat height but in my opinion this bike is too powerful for a first rider they might get hurt. This bike is faster than all my bikes and I haven’t even pushed it yet.

Do you notice any difference in performance at all? Any torque loss? Im assuming you didnt get a tune with it.
If anything better throttle response I’m still not even out of the brake in-stage so I’m not pushing it to hard lol 😝 soon. I’ll post a video of me giving it the beans 🤟🏼 I’ll be racing my 2021 mt09 soon

That exhaust pipe cover does it actually protect u from burns ? Seems if u had an o crap moment u would squeeze your leg right onto it. At the end of the video it is tucked more than I thought it was but still looks like it would be hot
It’s still warm but honestly I was just cruising I wasn’t really pushing the bike so when I take it to the canyons and push it I will update on if it’s still ok 👌🏼 I got you 😉

I wish they made it sound like an actual Harley. It sounds like a 500 twin or something. BUT it looks sick and they are pretty quick
You have to ride it with the exhaust it’s a good sound feels good with all the noises it makes.

My buddy has the nightster which is the 975 version of this motor and I have a rebel 500, they sound nothing alike in person

Hey Chris, I have a roadster 1200 but I love the sound of the bike too much to let it go. How have you found the sound with the baffles out on the sportster s? Loud enough?
That’s awesome, It’s plenty loud the video doesn’t do it any justice to be honest in person it sounds good.
I have the exhaust also. Even with the baffle it's very loud. I usually ditch the baffle right away but I was hesitant for my neighbors sake on this bike. haha. But, I did anyway. 😂 Videos don't do the exhaust justice. I used a good camera and mic and it still doesn't really capture it.
The start up on this bike is super loud that why I left the baffle on lol right now I’m try to figure out the heat issue right now

Do i need to tune it
Technically yes you do with any motor to get optimal performance when you add modified parts you need to do a tune. so far she’s running pretty good without one. I’m potentially losing some horse power by not tuning the motorcycle. I did call Harley Davidson to ask if it was void my warranty he stated he would recommend for me to get a tune but never said it would void my warranty.

Yeah it sounds louder more vicious but it is too loud for my taste so I leave the baffle on
I'm gonna be that guy..............I haven't heard one of these new sportys that even come close to soundin as good as the older ones. yea yea, the vid doesn't capture the true sound, and that very well may be but compared to vids of older sportys, they sound light years better. I know the performance of the new ones is awesome but they sound like crap IMO. Time to look for a mint xr1200x, harleys not gonna get my money anytime soon with one of these. gonna take a long time for them to grow on me.

@@roccoelefante3926 actually the stock 2021 1200 sporty was about 60 hp and 73 ft lb tq, BUT they did have the Buellified 1200 from the 09-12 xr1200 which was about 30 hp more. My XR1200 puts down 92 rwhp/ with a thundermax ecm/bassani road rage 2 into 1 ex system and a K&N drop in filter. nothin crazy but thats very much 100+ crank hp. I shift at 7500 when really gettin on it. This engine should have been kept around after they dropped the XR model. I think its the pinnacle of the 1200 evo.
Leave the baffle in! 2017 and newer Harleys are made to have more back pressure. I think the sound is richer and more indicative of the motor when the baffle is in. Not to mention you probably lose 6-8 horsepower and 10 ft lbs of torque when the baffle is out. One thing we can all agree on, all Revolution Max engines need exhaust before you ride them out of the dealership! Absolutely pathetic with the stock pipe! Can’t wait to see a video when you can take it all the way to the 9,500 RPM redline with the exhaust! Ride safe and have fun!

Definitely not run without the baffle. I prefer to fly under the radar versus attracting too much unwanted attention.l just want to ride something that doesn't sound like a high powered sewing machine yet doesn't get me a ticket demanding I pull it off now!
