Just got my blackstone yesterday, made Philly cheese steaks last night and breakfast this morning on it. I already love it and looking forward to trying new recipes
Joe, the Verde is outstanding! I meant every word of praise I had for it and probably could have done on forever lol. Thanks for watching and commenting brother!! And thanks so much for that Verde!
My belly told me to crank up a big appetite and fill it up!! This is the best video I've seen!! they look so good with the choice of cheese, that onion.. WHEW!!
All you needed in that opening was a plate of flan with a candle in it and a group of mariachi singing happy birthday! Great cook Mike. I was expecting something way less than authentic from an Illinois boy, but you did a fantastic job!
Thanks brother! These were truly delicious and I didn’t even do a practice run. Been getting lucky like that lol. Blessings brother. I sincerely appreciate you checking it out!
Love this channel and love the food you make. Very relatable with way you talk to everyone and having the wife help loosen you up a bit is never a bad thing!
I’m sure she enjoyed it lol. Thanks for the awesome comments it really means the world to me and helps motivate me to keep going and pushing forward every time it’s time to film. Speaking of that, about to film in a few minutes for next weeks release. Blessings and cheers to you!
New BS owner here and learning a lot from you. Thank you much. Keep hearing about Tango Joes from other smoker / BBQ channels and will have to get off my but and find some!! Have a great one and keep the videos coming.
awesome vid chef...i just wanted to say thank you for warming/crisping up those tortillas. my pet peeve at taco places is when some don't warm/crisp up the corn tortillas. it ruins it for me , no matter how well the protein tastes. you really did a fantastic job on these street tacos. such a good respect to the street taco. you didn't over do it like most people would do.
As always...another great video! I use a Blackstone 36" in my mobile food business. I just might offer some of these street tacos at our next community event. You make me proud to be from Illinois, my friend!
Will definitely try these! down here in new mexico chile and hispanic food is very prominent and the one thing it has over every other type of food is the fact that all the ingredients are so cheap if you have tortillas and chile you can make a million different things
I swear I could smell that lime hitting the beef - and the Verde rub sounds wonderful. I may have to reach out to Joe! This one was a real treat, Mike. 👌
Great recipe, I love street tacos I'm going to have to give your version a try. The wife dress you up very nicely for the intro, tell her she gets two thumbs up.
Thanks, Jerry! I appreciate you watching and commenting buddy! I’m having fun doing this so it’s awesome to know people are enjoying it. Cheers and blessings.
Thank you for the video. I was wondering what oil you used? Here in LA we use beef tallow or lard. Last batch came out kinda dry the boys at the truck told me to use lard or tallow. I like the tip using lime in the beginning. And how high is your heat? Thanks again.
Lol that hat was great , and when my Marine unit was deployed to south america we had a few times to explore foods like Arroz Atollado with the sausage call Mexican chorizo and with chicken or pork . and a boiled egg but if you do make a video,,, Mexican chorizo and Spanish Chorizo are different Mexican can be eat-in raw while Spanish has to be cooked and it was great... thanks for what you doing Brother always a pleasure learning from you
Thanks, Kevin. I love that cover, it saves my porch just like the grease slide device that they make. Raun makes some useful products. Cheers and blessings brother.
I was hoping the sombrero was gonna be on throughout the video😂Gotta mix in a little humor, keeps them coming back for more😊Those looked so delicious, Mexican is my favorite food too!! Thanks for sharing😃
Nicely done tacos de carne asada! You got my Hispanic pregnant girlfriend’s mouth watering! We wish we had some right about now. I like them with queso fresco. And the cilantro is nicely chopped! I’m hungry for some authentic tacos.
OOOF! where'd my comment go? I saw your response. LOL. I'm originally from Niagara Falls NY area, and a friend of mine claims he has no accent, whatever that means. He also said that most people in the great lakes areas have a particular nasal 'AAAAhhh' accent. Now that I live in Cleveland, I can immediately pick up on a displaced Western New Yorker, which is what we are. Gotta go where the work is. GREAT VIDEO! Gonna try this, and try to convince hubby to get that griddle this summer. :D
Great video Mike had a lot of fun watching this one I like the fact you can cook that much at one time on that Grill that's awesome buddy good job man tacos looks delicious brother
R&B BBQ I have to say I love my Blackstone. Someday I hope to attract sponsorship from them. I believe in their product highly and it’s really produced awesome food for my family. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Everyday BBQ Anytime man! Keep doing what you’re doing... you’ve inspired me to get into grilling, smoking and cooking. God Bless you and your family! Take care.
You’ll love them! My family asks for them all the time. I love picking up the real authentic sauces from the local Mexican restaurants. It really makes the difference.
Intro was well done! But, you could have smoked the skirt stake with the spice rub to give you that same street taco taste with a bit of smoke. Now don't get me wrong, that look and sounded amazing! Simple tacos on a griddle really hard to beat but, YOU are a pit master go for the smoke! Get some chicken thighs, pork shoulder steaks, and skirt steak and have a street taco lalapalooza!
That was probably my favorite video you've made yet. Your wife was spot on about the hat adding some flair to your channel!! Haha Those tacos were beautiful. I want to try this so bad now but u dont have a Blackstone. Do you think it would be worth a guy trying this on a cast iron skillet over wood coals or would the smokey flavor ruin the authentic street taco flavors? Tango Joe is an amazing guy and makes awesome products! That was so cool of him to give you a bottle of his spices and good on ya for including it in your video! I love our bbq TH-cam community. Wow, sorry didn't mean to ramble.... great video and God bless brother.
Thanks so much, Rusty! I think you could probably do the cast iron over Kohls but the smoky flavor would definitely alter the end Finished Product. Perhaps doing it on a cast iron skillet indoors would be a decent option. I personally love the smoke flavor but I know that when we get these from street vendors there is no smoke involved LOL. I really appreciate your warm comments and believe me they mean the world to me! Tango Joe was very nice to send that stuff to me on solicited and I really appreciate it not to mention I absolutely love this stuff! I ordered to him to showcase it not only for his friendship but purely because that stuff is absolutely awesome!
Thanks, Tim! Means a lot to me to be receiving such good feedback. I was nervous about this one lol. Sometimes these authentic recreations can cause a stir. I tried to keep it simple and real. Even got the taco sauce from my local Mexican restaurant.
Well done amigo....you nail it ....by the way you look familiar the wine guy come some TV shows Jimmy Kimmel and I believe the big sombrero thats GUILLERMO ..... anyways I wish you be my neighbor and have cookouts like that and MUCHAS CERVEZAS AMIGO..?_***REMERBER STAY THIRSTY MI AMIGO*** hello from boise idaho

Big taste in a simple handful, those tacos had to be perfection!
Right on Mike, superb to hear that you enjoy our Tango Verde!
Cheers!
Joe, the Verde is outstanding! I meant every word of praise I had for it and probably could have done on forever lol. Thanks for watching and commenting brother!! And thanks so much for that Verde!
Tango Joe Where can I get some of that

My belly told me to crank up a big appetite and fill it up!! This is the best video I've seen!! they look so good with the choice of cheese, that onion.. WHEW!!
This is the only recipe I can go with. It's sample, easy. I'll try it. It looks delicious. Thx.

Thank you for the video. I was wondering what oil you used? Here in LA we use beef tallow or lard. Last batch came out kinda dry the boys at the truck told me to use lard or tallow. I like the tip using lime in the beginning. And how high is your heat? Thanks again.
I always use canola oil and cook on med-high heat except for the far right burner. That one is on low or off. Thank you very much for watching!
I love Street tacos! Great job!

Simple Mexican food is the best!! I assume you are in Northern IL? I'm about an hour south of Springfield.
Yessir! Northern IL indeed. Coooooolllddd and windy today!
It was 67 when I left the house this morning at 9 and like 55 when i got back at 4.
This weather has been crazy. Can’t wait for some warm weather around here. I filmed in a freezing cold wind advisory today lol.
Man you're making me wanna get my Blackstone out man lol. Still shitty weather here in NY tho. Those looked good.
Lol thanks, ND! Appreciate the kind words!
Just for the intro is instant like
Lol 😂 thanks!
Great video, bro!
Thanks brother! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

How do you get them so tender like if I just season them there really hard
Just takes practice. Thank you very much for watching!
I actually liked your wife's idea. She probably thought it made you look like a "sexy chef". I concur!
Lol 😂
Superb
Very impressive. I would pay for 2 of those beauties!
lol thanks for watching and commenting!
Yummy 😋
Hey Mike, where can I get one of those shirts?
My wife says she got it on Amazon. I’m having Everyday BBQ shirts made at some point in the future also.
Can I fry them in a pan since I don’t have a grip?
Yes
Awesome
Thanks!

Rock n Roll!
Thanks, Tom!
Now you're speaking my language
Thanks bro! These were outstanding!
What brand hot sauce and Verde sauce?
Those were made at the restaurant. I didn’t but a brand name. Wanted to keep it homemade style.
Keep the Sombrero on!
Yo Mike throw some cabbage into the onion and cilantro mix.. very prevalent in street tacos.
Nice hat
You’re not allowed to use that against me lol.
