Welcome, you'll fit right in. Soon you'll want something vertical or something bit more powerful or something with different aspect ratio. We aren't low on reasons to the next device.. Gotta get them all.. 💯
I got one in the mail and I'm STOKED. The form factor is perfect for me, fits in my bag and I can bust it out on breaks from work, play whatever game I want up to wii! I loved the 405v but lost it, and a chip upgrade was the only thing I could have wanted from that device.
I had the 405v and I kinda agree. The Gameboy style devices with a 4:3 screen are perfect for 2D games, so the hardware in the 405v was overkill. For 16:19 3D emulation i have my SteamDeck OLED. However i love the oversized Gameboy form factor so i might still get it because the only thing the 405v was missing was an hd screen.
I was kinda initially interested but that quickly waned when I read through it and thought to myself, what does this really do that handhelds I already have DON'T do ... that has been a question I ask a lot late before buying some of these.
Well if you alreqdy have a handheld that's ps2/gc/wii capable and it's small enough for you, then just be happy. No one's telling you to buy if you already like what you have
@@GlitteredUp4Easter That was basically what I was saying. It's just that of late I feel like several of the manufacturers are interested in pumping out as many FOMO products as possible instead of changing the game up.
Its really a matter of personal preference i think. While the 4x3 aspect ratio is unfortunate, some people are REALLY partial to vertical handhelds. Personally, the decreased head angle feels much better. I have a streaming setup where i attach a tablet to my xbox controller so i can keep my hands resting on my lap without baving to look down
I am glad you mentioned the head angle, I had just come to this realization myself. It retroactively explains why playing DS was no problem for me yet PSP was difficult. looking exactly where your hands are feels not so great. Something like this 406V where you get the raised screen and it's not a tiny thing or a solid brick, actually considering ergonomics.. it's compelling!
I couldn’t disagree with you more. I want to get the DMG grey one as soon as it is available. If this had an AMOLED display and ABXY buttons in the DMG cranberry colour in a rhombus configuration, it would be the most perfect device I could ask for. I own and love the RG405V.
I think we need one of these devices with detachable controls with the ability to attach them in landscape mode for games like PSP and portrait for NDS or 3DS, that would be awesome 🎉
Thats the Lenovo Legion Go, or the Pimax Portal (But they don't make that one anymore) Would be interesting if the like of Anbernic, Powkiddy or Retroid come out with something like that though. Give the switch a bit of competition😁👍
My brain hurts ive watched too many videos today i just want a good handheld for a first buy.. well first other than my switch i want the ability to play better games but im just keen on one of these devices for Pokemon cause a Pokemon game for the switch is the price of some of these handhelds for the new ones and over half for some older ones so one if these with a while bunch of em on it is sick
If I had to highly suggest a great device for your first time, the Anbernic RG 353V was mine and it was fantastic. It’s best for specifically 2D games but I had a lot of fun with PS1 on it too.
i wanna address the issue of heat. these devices are starting to get very warm. and over time the plastic cases are cracking. my rg Cube around the charge port is starting to crack, my ayaneo 2 case has cracks in it..... though my odin 2 doesnt (maybe better dissipation or better plastic formulea) but i wanna know if the heat is sufficiently addressed so the case isnt damaged over time.
It's... meh. Another variation/upgrade. The big question is, are there analog shoulder buttons? Cuz if not, there is little use for this given the power upgrade. They're not showing the back of it, why is that? heh. Wish they were more like retroid and their releases, 3-4 handhelds a year, stable. Gives us time to enjoy it before they announce/release another one.
To be fair, doing analog shoulder buttons on a vertical handheld is kind of... Not doable. And to this device's credit, it does add some decent upgrades. The screen is 720p now and the sticks aren't those terrible joycon sticks. Though honestly, they should have put the good sticks on all of their handhelds this gen instead of waiting till this one.
@@Patrick-bn5rp Oh I understand but the power it has, now we know it doesn't have analog shoulder buttons but I was hoping they'd have some kind of low profile ones.
Yes I care. Im just getting into retro handhelds, I like the vertical form factor, and i have big hands. Im definitely getting this device.

It has sens for me because I want a 4/3 screen. I don’t want a 16/9 with laaaarge black bands on the sides.

O novo 👑 dos consoles verticais, até a chegada do AYN Pocket DMG.
I want it gonna get it on launch. 405 one of my faves battery lasts five ever, and a better chip is exciting

i wont be surprised if they release rg406 h in the future
🤣🤣
I give it 2 weeks for another announcement 😅

대략적인 가격 라인이 궁금합니다.
또 진동 기능이 있을까요?

Does the analog sticks click down to be L3 & R3 ?

Well, what are you wanting to play, exactly? If it's just Pokemon games on the GBA, you really only need a budget handheld.
If I had to highly suggest a great device for your first time, the Anbernic RG 353V was mine and it was fantastic. It’s best for specifically 2D games but I had a lot of fun with PS1 on it too.
Why do the 3d games look so over saturated?
If it's $200, I'd rather get the RP mini or RP5
150
it will be really good,
4 by 3 in a vertical format is the way, at least for me.
Does it run Burnout Dominator(ps2) smoothly?
Wait this play ps2 gamecube no prob?

Well this one has a fan and vent holes.
Tbh just get RETROID POCKET MINI OR 5
It's horizontal if you might have noticed heh. Would be nice if Retroid released a vertical handheld.
Retroid is horizontal and i didn't like the glass front on the mini and RP5
I already have the 556 I don't need it. But my body urges me to buy it 😅
Same. lol
I need it horizontal

Waiting for the 406H, please don’t make it a metal shell 🙏
