    Watching a Lord Magistrate (let alone on a Sky Lantern) in multiplayer feels like spotting an endangered species.

    GG to Hippo! I think Lizards need to go a bit wider with skinks in this matchup. I didn't have enough width to loop around the frontline and break the iron hails. Also fell right into Hippos trap by attacking the Magistrate with the Colossodon hunters. He was ready with the air-mortis item and buffs on the righteous lances. Threw away an expensive unit that I need to break the frontline.

    The Chadjistrate essentially performed like a Distraction Carnifex in this game - he must have eaten 50-60 Winds of Magic between all those Tempests, which could have been used to annihlate the Cathay infantry and pull them apart for the Cold One Riders and Feral Cold Ones.

      ...the only spells the mage priest had were Tempest and Apotheosis. He could not, in fact, do anything at all to cathayan infantry.

    The chadistrate tanked 4 tempests and more than paid for himself in damage value. Lizards really had to commit to actually killing him after investing the WoM or save the winds for karate chopping the Righteous Lances.

    Honestly if the Magistrate had a sky junk instead of the lantern he'd be a lot better

      Nah, he’s so vulnerable. If fit lose a junk, it’s not that devestating as using your Lord

      Sky junk with 15k hp are actually really tanky, you just would need a plan to save them in case things go poorly

      @@hitppohiman how do you defend them? Spam them I.e. with those anti large flying Teradon riders. They have 6 melee Defense, they get wrecked

    maybe the unsummon timer can be longer depending on how far you are from your spawn location? if you are at the middle point it could take 10-15s to unsummon or if you are diving your enemys spawn it can go up to 30s

      Just give it a cooldown, so that if a unit takes damage, it can't be unsummoned for 20 seconds. We know the UI already supports this kind of stuff, since landing/takeoff for flying units has a 10 second cooldown.
      The only issue to consider is the interaction with the Lore of the Deep's passive so that you can't prevent your opponent from unsummoning by casting spells.

    I played a lantern+ green guardian rush build, lantern with iron hail is good because lantern basically attract flying unit like a lantern do irl
    and lantern actually have 360 firing while moving

      I bet they will be pretty strong. I just saw Astragoth stats. 130 armor, 60 speed, ap dmg . The fact that he is also a caster makes it even better

    Unsummoning would make more sense if they had to go back to their corresponding summoning area (vanguard summon area for vanguard and then regular summoning area for regular) or the edge of the map like they are retreating, it's weird when they come back with full health too, make more sense if they healed a little bit over time so they couldn't save up and resummon as soon as it's desummoned

    I remember my first Cathay campaign, first time trying Iron Hail gunners and the first time they opened up with so much dakka. Jaw dropping! Basically dual wielding Uzis, if you can meet their fussy line of sight, range and probably even harmony requirements.

    Unsummoning should require you to run off the battlefield, not just evaporate into the ether.

      or on unsummoning checkpoints, similar to where you summon reinforcements, so the enemy has a way of disrupting/punish them

    yeah, unsummoning could be longer but I also think that the lord (and maybe heroes as well) shouldn't be able to be unsummoned. At least it should give the penalty of your lord dying.

      It would nake more sense to have a lesser fleeing the field penalty than dying, otherwise you'd be as well just sending them to their death.

    Lord magistrate new meta! Buffs are pretty decent and a great option for a cheap lord for cathay.

    The balancing and thematic change I could see to the unsummoning mechanic would be this :
    -Melee unit : can't unsummon if health is higher than 50%
    -Range unit : If ammo is higher than 50%
    -And maybe an option where you can't unsummon your lord ? It would force you to protect him and not just avoid the morale penalty so easily, though not sure about that last one
    It would counter the cylostra and skaven slaves play as well, and it makes sense that your Lord can't retreat from the battlefield if he hasn't even been wounded.

    I feel like your lord should have to be present on the battlefield at all times. At the very least though there should be a "lord not present" debuff to morale if the lord has been unsummoned (obviously if he's dead or routed, those penalties would take precedence).

    10 sec now yer, should be condition you need to be at the map edge to unsummon; which might as well use the retreat bottom command to do it ^^

    Make it the way it used to be - people can unsummon when they leave the map under their own power. No dropping out of combat and refunding, you have to actually fully disentangle the unit, and pay the price in missing firepower as it moves out of the map.

    I think the unsommoning would make more sense immersion and game play wise if you have to move your unit to a spawn point first before you can unsommon them.
    It makes it less cheesy and to make it less micro intensive you could just rework the "retreat" button in this game mode to have the selected unit move automatically to the spawn and unsummon.

    Maybe have the unsummon mechanic function with both a minimum distance from opponent units AND x-amount of time out of combat.

    What if you can only unsummon units that are out of combat inside a deployment zone that they can spawn from. Deployment and Retreat zones all in one.

    Unsummoning should absolutely require some kind of location to activate. Edge of battlefield, reinforcement locations, maybe even designated retreat locations if the first two are not enough.
    At least that would require some strategic positioning instead of the cheesy nonsense we have now

    I feel like units should only be able to be unsummed if there's no enemy within a certain radius of them, maybe 150-200 meters

    Maybe unsummon could have a longer cast/delay, but give whatever resources are left over from the unsummoned unit instantly. That way you don't wait 31957813589 years to actually deploy resources you get from good housekeeping but it's also preventable by the opponent for important pieces like lords etc.

    Easy solution to unsummoning. Unsummoning a unit makes them run out of the map. Just like when you make your units retreat in a campaign battle.

      That Slaan is yellow. Turin nicknames the Slaan based on their color rather than their abilities, e.g. the "orange sherbet Slaan"

    600 gold feral saurus instead of normal saurus with shields would oddly help lizardmen.
    The new old world dual weapon temple guard would go a long way too

    What about flying units having 0 capture weight but apply a negative 3 capture weight to enemies total on a point? You could have something similar fo art shooting enemies on a capture point.

    Would a DE build with Slaanesh's Harvester being summoned again and again with their bound Soulstealer work ? It looks alright on paper on a large map with room to maneuver, but the unit cost is quite high

    I just downloaded TWW3 on sale, and in addition to campaign mode I am looking forward to trying Domination mode against a live opponent. I seem to recall Turin or someone runs a site for newbies in Domination. Or a training academy or something. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

    Honestly, the Magistrate might have been key in that battle since between all the Tempests he ate that was easily 40+ magic that could have been eating Cathayan infantry instead.

      Depends on who you ask. Turin does almost exclusively Domination, pretty much everyone else is more oriented towards Land Battle

    I do agree the unsumoned mechanic is badly input in domination. Like the fact that you can get your lord out of combat like this is kind of lame, and I think they either should cause massive leadership penalty (even more so then if he dies) or just not allow him to be re-sumoned.

    Really agree with the unsummoning mechanic being lame. Not only is it lame its also used mainly for cheese. At the very least I feel lords and characters shouldn't be unsummonable since so many lime clyostra and others are abused.
