Every other god gets beaten up by Kratos: You're still a monster.
Tyr: gg
Kratos: Thanks
If kratos and tyr are both protagonist in the next god of war game, them it should be called Gods Of War
@@TheTruem4ni guess when referred to it in short, it would be called “GsOW”
@@ArcKanosiethey're both Gs
would would win tho in a death battle
@@Poocasmore than likely kratos we know from Cory barlog kratos holds back a fuck Ton in the new games if he went all out he would win tyr would give him a really good fight like probably the best he's ever had but he would ultimately lose on top of all of that we also have solid feats for kratos not so much for tyr we KNOW kratos can kill and entire pantheon but can tyr
The way the old Kratos looks so empty and dead inside with sunken eyes and a look of malice whilst our new Kratos looks so warm and gentle goes to show how far he’s come.
Young Kratos just needed you to look at him funny and you’re done just give him a reason😂😭

This is free?! Absolutely amazing, they just wanted people to experience peak storytelling and to see Kratos pour his heart out fully. Love it
Yes it is a free dlc
@@elvingallisalozada2046did someone say free
it's free?!!
@@elvingallisalozada2046IT'S FREE?? IS IT LIMITED OR WHAT?!
@@Desto_OP dude free as in you own the original god of war ragnarok you get the dlc forever period
Three detail i absolutely love about this scene:
1. His eyes/demeanor -> Despite being "the same man", the younger Kratos' eyes are sunken, darkened and seem to be stuck in a frown regardless of the position he sits. Older Kratos' eyes are much clearer, healthier and despite still sporting "weight", are much more relaxed.
2. His curse marks -> The ashes and war paint that are forever marked in his skin were much, much stronger back then, giving him the rather fitting titles of Ghost of Sparta and newfound God of War. However, despite still being accursed, the ashes and paint seem... thinner, nowadays; like the curse still lingers but in a much weaker state. Yet another visual representation of how far he's come in his evolution.
3. The sit. -> Younger Kratos' sitting was much more spiteful. The sheer reason why he first sat on that throne, the positions he chose, the uncomfortable stillness; all felt like a power move against the Gods themselves. The monument of his conquest and the peak of his crusade. But now that he's much older, after all that happened and after he has finally accepted what he did and why, he then chose to sit yet again. This time not to spite the gods, but to do what he needed to do after all this time. To finally put himself to rest. This time it wasnt the throne of a monster, but the chair of an old man who has seen, done and went through way too much.
*AND THE BEST PART* :Instead of choosing positions to further hurt things that werent there any longer, he chose to relax and... sit, for just a little longer...
Bravo. Simply, bravo.
Also notice that the throne had changed. Instead of an ornate carved wooden throne it's simple rough hewn Nordic stone with a faint carved relief surrounding his head. Ancient, permanent and highly dignified, rather than cruel, proud, ormate and temporary. The throne old Kratos sat in was timeworn but still strong. The one young Kratos sat in looked pretty much brand new.
Meeting your younger self and get it all out of your chest, blame him for all you been through, looks like something we all need.
But you are blaming yourself tho
@@Acetheskywolfsometimes that what it takes. Ever met people who always blame others for what did to themselves? They can’t grow until they take responsibility of their mistakes and change.
@@Acetheskywolfthat’s the point….. stop pointing fingers at others and learn to criticize yourself and stop blaming others for bad decisions you coherently made
@@Dat-Boi-Camoja don't act like others are not part of the bad events that happened
I mean, kind of? We all made bad choices when we were younger and it brought us to some pretty dark places in life. But I learned that we need to live in the moment, forget the past and future, just accept where we are and work on what we have now. The past is a useful guide, and the future is consequence of our present actions, just like our present is consequence of our past.
This would’ve been the perfect opportunity to have TC Carson close out his reign as younger Kratos. Nonetheless, phenomenal job just wouldve thought it been a dope thing to see older kratos tame his younger self’s anger and become one. Truly forgiving himself but in rambling haha I love this rendition as well
I wish both clashed while younger Kratos is screaming and ridiculing his old version while older Kratos holding his composure and staying calm
Was expecting a Kratos boss fight at the end with Carson’s voice but for a free dlc this is still outstanding
That is a dope idea. I’m satisfied with this ending but a proper boss fight against younger Kratos with all his powers would have been insane, plus a scene with his first family, you know, the very people whose ashes are covering Kratos’s skin would have been apt as well.
Ahh wishful thinking, they really forgot about TC Carson.. imagine the conversation between young Kratos and old Kratos.. hearing the aggressive Spartan voice of young Kratos and the calm and reasonable voice of old Kratos
probably didn't happen because TC carson is in his mid 60s lol wouldn't have been the same at all
Just imagine Carson screaming “I’M THE GOD OF WAR!” and Judge responding with “All you are is god of fools, boy.” while they’re grappling each other like the first Baldur fight
Kratos spent his life hearing from those close to him that "He's more than what he is." He took those words to heart but never realized how much he needed to hear it from himself
The way the lighting almost puts color back into Kratos' skin..... For a brief moment, the curse that made him The Ghost of Sparta was lifted as he sat on his throne. Incredible storytelling.
Bravo Vince
@@bv657God I miss that trilogy. We need tha gus prequel.
@@falconeshield we need something lol
I love the lesson here. It’s the classic you can’t get rid of something that essentially part of who you. All you can do is accept, but also remember to be better than what you once was or expect to be. That’s the only way to find peace and how you can move forward. After all, if he you keep trying to forget your past, than it’s no different to say you are still stuck in it
Gotta accept that you've changed and gotten better. Otherwise is to not accept that you can change
Funny enough I’m kinda going through my own Valhalla process.
I hope I find my answer soon.
Whole plot was just a councilling session for Kratos
I expected more that just opening doors and fighting enemies.
@@nickoteen4550 We literally got Helios and a fully-rigged model of young Kratos. What are you talking about?
This is some what hinting at Cain and Abel theme, specifically can you live with what you did and can you forgive your self
For Kratos to not only sit on that throne but to want to and be comfortable there. Such Writing!! Bravo Santa Monica Studios BRAVO!
If only we could have gotten a conversation between the two and hearing TC Carson the voice actor for young Kratos
@@Omega-jg4oq maybe because TC Carson is in his 60s now
@@RainSennin_ismyAltThat doesn’t say anything. Many voice actors do voice work even when they’re older.
Also the fact that his skin doesent look pale
@kaijuslayer3334 Sure, but he probably couldn't pull off the Kratos voice anymore
Powerful that it isn't that he forgives his past self, but rather, *understands* his past self, and thus, his present self, and that both contain more than what others saw.
"I could not have done so without my friends." Manly tears over here. Didn't think I'd ever hear Kratos say anything remotely like this. You want a symbol of Hope? It's not the guy in the cape who just does whatever. It's the Ghost of SParta. THe man that lost everything and everyone and sacrificed too much for revenge, staining his soul, and yet, found redemption, love, and peace. Going from a God of War to a God of Hope. What a fucking beautiful story. I don't know how they are going to make a third game. This would be a perfect end cap to Kratos and his arc. Making me think the next game should just be Atreus.
But Kratos will always be the GOAT
He'll always be a God of War; that will ALWAYS be part of who he is. But he's also a God of Hope. He's both.
Do not talk shit of Superman. Even as a fictional character he is a paragon worthy of his symbol.

@@keandregreen5628 I know right? He shouldn't have bother to redeem and just stay menace
10:26 that transition from the greek OST to the norse OST was FLAWLESS!!!!!!
It's absolutely beautiful. It shows that he has accepted his role as the new god of war
i love how tyr uses weapons from several diferent civilizations, almost as if he was a combination of every god of war, and not just he norse one, giving a much stronger feel to the fight
The first one is either Indian or Aztecan, the second is Egypt, the third is Japanese
He is known to have traveled far and wide to a large variety of pantheons, not just sticking to the Norse one. Considering how old he is too, it would make sense for him have mastery in all those types of weapons as a God of War
@@matthewalvarez3442 dont forget the spear and shield from greece (sparta)

@@losjay940bruh everybody knows he’s holding back. It was just a sparring match they weren’t out to kill each other.

He should be just below Thor
7:20 - it's been so long since I've heard his old ost, such nostalgia 😢
Best ost of gow in my opinion, especially when it plays on the opening of gow 1, when kratos jumps
The moment he sat on his new throne, while already accepted it, Kratos still feels a bit unsure and restless about it.
And then Mimir came, that's when all of his tensions got released because now, rather than being alone on his throne, he has others beside him that will help him if the time arrives.
That's a pretty nice touch to the game.
Probably the only time sitting on a throne holding a decapitated head is wholesome
Christopher Judge is an amazing actor and does not get enough credit for his talent. He really can bring a character to life.
the old soundtrack playing when he me his younger self hit different 🥲
the nostalgia
this was honestly was one of the best peace of acting I ever saw in video game
When he meets his younger self
When the trophy pops and shows the god of hope with the same symbol of kratos from the prophecy he saw at the end of the base game you'll notice he is also in that same stance, same position with the axe on his shoulder! Really driving home that he is a changed god, no longer one of fury and vengeance but one of hope and giving that hope to the world.
GOOD CATCH! I missed that.
I genuinely feel proud of Kratos - what a masterpiece.
I love that having tyr as the final boss of the dlc contrasts what Odin's depiction of him is.
nobody is mentioning this but the moment when he's sitting on the throne and the music started ramping up but still very mellow like he's released from all of his regret in life
He almost, almost looked free of his old family's ashes on the throne.
The music feels right for earning your own inner victory.
That monologue felt like actual theatre, has to be top five cutscenes in gaming history
A free DLC that didn't promise nothing, but gave everything, unfortunately I cannot play it,yet, but just seeing these gameplay videos my heart already is sped up, absolutely perfection
Bruh, I want to download it, but I'm not worthy enough! 😭
Would be jarring yet awesome if Terrence C. Carson voiced young Kratos again in the conversation.
Unfortunately the voice actor is in his 60s now. You'd need a younger impersonator to pull it off. Still, asking him to cameo would've been sweet.
It went from *“YOU CHOSE”* to *”I CHOSE”* 😢
self criticism is tough man
Beside the battle with týr i was hoping a battle between young and old kratos and in the end the two will have a little conversation but the Dev has done so well
it was a battle thats won without fighting, thats the point of it
@@f687sNFM i can see it more like a battle with the past to final remind that he’s not the same god he used to be, even proof that many time and so on. Defeated his past self is the final proof that (at lease known to myself only) he have completely overcome himself from the old blood thirst for revenge/monster/god of war to the protector of all realm/solo marches to battle to protect the one values as friend/god of hope that his new prophecy foretold and be able to safe guard the realm from any upcoming threat instead of leading mortals into meaningless blood bath battle that he use to do.
He fought himself enough. It was time to accept his past, not fight it.
The battle was Kratos finding a way to finally accept his younger self
@@hagamapama yes!!
I wish there had a cutscene in the credits where some war is being fought, where one soldier is is overwhelmed by a bigger enemy, literally almost a mirror of God of war 1, but instead of calling for a god of war to sell his soul to defeat his enemies, the soldier prayed for hope, to use every strength inside him to overcome the odds, when everything is lost
It was beautiful our boy became the God of Hope ❤...
Disrespect for young kratos whick is the prime and the best verison of kratos, sony is now the disney of gaming
@user-xx3wf5mr9o Why's he better when young? Cause he shouts more? Cause you can pretend to be him more easily than you can pretend to be a person who is periodically useful to others, like his older self is? Cause you were younger when those games came out and you don't wanna feel old?

As to gameplay, that's pretty subjective. And I agree that tearing up one's enemies is pretty great, but so's a well-told story.
Young kratos looks terrifying.

9:53 I also love how Kratos doesn't completely codemn his past self. Obviously Greek-era Kratos was reckless, selfish, and psychopathic in his rage, but what else was gonna happen? You give a gifted Spartan warrior literal godhood, force him to kill the only people he loves (and who love him), and then expect shit to work out? Fuck outta here lmao

I only wish Lisandro, Calliope, and Pandora could go and see or even interact with the new man he has become instead of only knowing who he used to be.
I like that he uses the weapons of different war gods
That must be some comfortable chair he's sitting on. Never seen Kratos so relaxed all these years.
i like how in his younger self you can see the fire in his eyes compared to now
Man they said Valhalla was a memory world. They coulda had Kratos meet the gods he killed and fight his younger self as a final boss😂 that woulda been awesome
He does meet Helios
i think it wouldve been a cool idea for him to fight younger Kratos, but its not the point of the story here... Kratos is learning to accept the mistakes he had by directly looking at who he used to be and forgiving him, younger kratos isn't a spereate person but its him and he has to accept and forgive that side of him even if he hates it now... that phase of his life is over and now he's entered a new one with freya

@@n4n4sh1_ yeah and why not?
Young Kratos: What makes you think you can stop me!
Old Kratos: Well, to me you are just a BOY!
Absolutely gorgeous scene. I loved the part where he speaks about how others perceived him as a monster as well as himself but he knows the depth of his character and what he truly has to offer. He has grown into a true leader who has suffered immense hard ship that briefly turned him into a god of destruction and chaos but the pain it brought him gave him a deeper understanding of that destruction and the despair it brings. Made me shed a few tears seeing how he has turned into such a strong leader and how he turned his perspective of hate and anger into one of care and consideration.
I dont understand why people are so mad about kratos' arc. A story is a story. You cannot undermine development. Sure people can love the old gore and bloodlust he had, whether gamellay wise or story wise. But saying the new games are shit and him being developed is shit arent gamers. Its like getting mad that a movie character got a sequel and finished his story. Lol its like staying in the past and never moving on basically. It sucks that character development can be shunned just because of "gameplay." A story is a story, an arc is an arc.
100% agree, couldn’t have said it a better way
You know.. young Kratos wasn’t always a monster, back in Gow1 he used to be calm and even when he talks to Ares he doesn’t sound angry, he always wanted to change and he already regretted his past and it’s was before he even killed the gods of Olympus, we could have both ways.. the new games just needs to be as epic as the old games were not necessarily all violent.. you people always misunderstand young Kratos his anger is always towards the gods who betrayed him remove them and you slowly gonna see the soft side young Kratos once had.. like that time when young Kratos meet his daughter in the chains of Olympus or when young Kratos meet his wife at the Kraken boss fight
@Omega-jg4oq Actually, an interesting take. Especially the part where he met his daughter at Elysium. Also, I agree with the part where we can have it both ways, where we keep the development, but the epic aspect is there and not grounded. However, I do recognize Kratos' anger toward the gods alone. However, we also must consider his arrogance when he ascended to Ares' office. This is prevalent in GoW2, especially in the prologue. The people I meant in my argument were the ones who somewhat abhor the story due to the different layout of gameplay and lack appreciation for storycraft just because of vanity. Another thing I had in mind is the fact that Kratos , lore wise, is somewhat more conservative and direct with his attacks-less of the flashy and wide strikes, considering he has experience and matured developing more efficient combat. Being collected does not necessarily equate to weakness, in my opinion.
They should've made young Kratos the final boss of the DLC. That would've been sick
Idk about boss. The theme of this isn't really to fight and defeat his biggest demon, IE his past self and actions, but more to accept that with all of the information and outside views. Accepting that it happened, and that he is a changed man who can use his experience, tempered by compassion instead of rage, to be better. That said I do wish we could have gotten a conversation and it had been tc carson
It would. But this isn’t about going to war with yourself it’s about making peace.
@@natashaw.7315nah screw that give us young kratos boss.
@@natashaw.7315 that could work into a boss fight. Say Young Kratos attacks Old Kratos while he's in the middle of talking, leading to a boss fight or at the very least a series of QTEs up until Old Kratos finally comes to accepting what he's done, the consequences both good and bad that came from his actions. At that point, as Young Kratos tries to punch him, his fist turns to dust on contact before the rest of him slowly fades away. Achieves the same thing, but also with a boss fight involved
@theo-jamesmoulton2000 I wasn't thinking of it as war with yourself I was thinking of it more like the Tyr boss fight where it's one of Valhallas tests for him. But I see what you mean. They were aiming with a more acceptance tone
Hearing the OG Greek Music when Kratos meets his Younger Vengeful Rageful self it brought back so many memories of the previous Greek God Of War games especially God Of War III
This DLC is dream the most beautiful dream that every fan of the saga would have wanted🤩
A free 8 to 10 hour dlc of this caliber is almost unheard of in 2023. God I love Santa Monica
Love that Mimir has physically and metaphorically became Kratos’ right hand in the end as well
They should have brought TC Carson back and the interaction with Chris Judge would have been epic.
So sad and the worst part I’m not even surprised.. for second I thought they gonna use Chris judge to voice young Kratos as well
EGO probably
I love how angry he is at his old self. He was put in a hard place, but he still realized that he had a choice in doing the things that he did.
Indeed, he always had a choice although that is probably more evident to him in hindsight. Those choices are something he will have to live with, but if that ensures that he does not become what he was before, then at least his memories of who he was will serve a good purpose.
From the god of war to the god of hope
I'm loving it tbh
And with this our journey as a God of War ends lets all welcome our new God of Hope
I Imagine His Younger Self Saying This
Young Kratos: You Are Right I Am Not A Sadistic Cruel Monster, I Am Just A Man Who Wants Peace And Redemption.
🤓
Holy cringe
This part was for real. I thought someone put a young character kratos.
they know that this type of thing would be bad, even because Kratos knew that his vengeance wouldn't take his family and loyalty back, so, the entire storyline would be compromissed
Bro I would cough blood just to hear that
Christopher Judge freaking killed it. That guy was always solid, but he acted that monologue like he had a point to prove.
Old Kratos looks much bigger than his younger self in my eyes man😅
tyr’s weapons!! Every duel is according to respective mythology:
Spear and shield : greek
Macuahuitl : Aztec
Khopesh : Egyptian
Katana (kusanagi-no-tsurgi) - Japanese
next chapter god of war is in egypt?
I thought it was a Celtic war club, but you’re right, that’s clearly got a stone chip edge. Didn’t notice when I was fighting him!
Perhaps multiple mythologies
fun fact : this Free DLC is much more than the 70 dollars latest call of duty campaign
I like the contrast of how young Kratos sit on the throne striking a pose like a ruler, while present Kratos sit on the throne looking more like a leader with his trusty friend and advisor Mimir by his side
for me..this scene would be better if young kratos do get a voice dialogue.
old kratos arguing with his young self how cruel and selfish is his young self.
young kratos mock old kratos how softie he become.
old kratos said he tried to be better for the sake of their son.
young kratos asking if atreus become a good god.
old kratos said he become a better god, better than us.
young kratos give a slight gentle smile..the only smile we see young keatos give when he together with his wife and daughter.
at the end..both of them smirk..give slight nod..shake arm..and young kratos dissappear..both of them finally have peace they wanted.
Maybe because young Kratos wasn't like that to begin with. He knew what he was doing just didn't care because he was broken over the loss of his loved ones.
I don't think that would work. This young kratos is just a memory. If it was some sort of time traveling thing maybe but from how things are set up it wouldn't work. Your memories can't argue back at your present self yet your present self can argue back at your past self
Tyr built like a sekiro boss battle😂
He's even more of a threat than Odin, and he's even holding back
@@kejahwills true😬

@@kejahwillsWhich is interesting, Odin may have actually needed help or tricked Tyr in order to imprison him before he was eventually saved by Kratos, I am interested as to how Tyr compares to Thor and Baldur now that he is back in his prime fighting condition with all his skills and powers back, funny how people were so quick to right Tyr off when they literally had never seen him fight… I love god of war but some of our fellow fans are the most dense people I have ever come across I swear.
@@noahsibahi-jackson8757 Tyr is the type that picks his fights. That's probably why Thor or Baldur may not have bothered to challenge him, seeing him either as a wuss or a weakling. But as we have seen, Tyr is remarkable in combat, capable of rivaling the likes of Kratos with his weapon set, skills, powers and vast knowledge. He'd probably turn Thor's brain into putty (not literally) with his vast knowledge on psych warfare and his powers. Thor and Baldur are more of hard hitters; Tyr is a strategist; Kratos is the combination of both. That's my take tho😊😊
I like how, even though I know it's not really the case, when Kratos approaches the throne to sit once again... He looks as if he's without the ash on his skin. Maybe it's just the lighting cause I know his original skin tone was fairly darker and I'm reading too much into it, but honestly... I like that for him. Even if the ash never EVER comes off, he's reached a point where if he were to look at his reflection, he could finally look past it. He's worked hard for that. He deserves it.
I do think that's on purpose, as if to signify that Kratos IS redeeming himself, that he is no longer the ghost of Sparta.
@@en-men-lu-ana6870 The Ghost of Sparta will always be a part of him, but I think he is growing to the point where hopefully that title will eventually be nothing more than a memory and a warning to ensure he never becomes that person again.
I was half expecting young Kratos to talk back to him.
No, the person who wrote this didn't play the Original God of War. Kratos didn't choose the Throne, the Throne (and the Gods) chose Kratos out if his own will. Kratos' hatred for Aries (the Original God of War) was what fueled him to kill Aries in the first place. After he killed Aries, he was left with nothing, and Kratos tried to kill himself. However, the Gods gave him the Power of a God, and throned him the New God of War. He didn't know. What Kratos "chose" in God of War 2 and God of War 3 was Revenge, but that was AFTER he lost everything. He wanted Revenge because the Gods took advantage of him, the Giants, and the People; thus, Kratos believed Killing the Gods was the Right Answer. God of War 2016 was Kratos leaving all of that behind in favor of raising a Son, but you can't just leave your past behind. Sometimes, the Past follows you forever.
8:00 Man, I love Christopher Judge in this role. And I love that we get so much of what is going on within Kratos, it's truly beautiful. Kratos is a character that doesn't talk much but when he does, god damn. We see a god contemplating many things and yet this scene is so human.
Bro i know this isnt quite the case but Imo young kratos was near to pure fucking evil, granted he ended up sacrificing his own life and giving his world hope but all the crimes he's committed we're all near to sensless murders that amouted to nothing yet he still committed them, as broken as young kratos was he is and will always be near to pure evil in my eyes
Posidon's Princess is the closest to him being pure, vile evil.
The level of writing is insanely good
Older Kratos: ..What do I say to you..?
Younger Kratos: *ZEUS* 😠

At least a conversation between the two would have been better

No joke. The fact this DLC was free was just a godsend by the developers. Essentially, this is their way of confirming that they actually had this kind of ending in mind the whole time, but they just didn't have enough time to be able to put it into the main game. It's kind of like with the area in Vanaheim, the crater. If it was done by any other kind of studio outside Santa Monica, I think there's a real chance that they would have charged maybe $10 for a season pass or something like that for access to that area, but that devs didn't do that. Didn't do it with this DLC either, which I'm grateful for. And honestly, it really does do such a great job of showcasing the growth of creosis character from where he was before to where he is now. It's always such a great, positive sign of growth in a character who initially was made as a character that was a wish fulfillment for any teenager to feel masculine but the devs here show that we can be able to look back at those times with disgust but it's because of those experiences that shape us. Kratos can only show such anger and rage here because he was like that before and he was controlled by that anger. Where's here he is still in control of himself but he oddly has a realization that he wouldn't be the man he is now if he didn't forgive himself and learn that he can change. For the better. Once again, thank you to the development team at Santa Monica for making this DLC. 🙏
Also, before I forget props to Christopher judge for not wanting to voice younger kratos in this scene when he was initially given the chance to replace Terrance Carson that was a class A move by him for doing that. It made the scene better in a weird way for me
This whole dlc is basically kratos going to therapy 😆
Honestly he needed it.
Kratos: Now! I believe i would like to sit here for a while and take a long nap 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
Mimir: excellent choice brother 😅😅😅😂😂
I love the simple motion of OG Kratos moving his arm from under his chin to the arm of his throne at the moment Kratos yells "YOU BECAME...!"
As if OG Kratos is saying "I became WHAT?!"
Mimir and Kratos really are just bros at this point
This is pure Shakespeare writing right here.
as kratos keeps talking while seeing his younger self, His skin slowly return to normal and when he finally sits, the ashes are now gone😢
That monologue is borderline Shakespearean. Masterfully written and acted.
I’m going through a tough time and this has helped in ways I can’t explain
The cherry on top of the cake would be the younger kratos, T.C. Carlson, speaking to the older kratos. Now THAT was a scenario I would have LOVED to see.
It would've been icing on the cake if the young Kratos spoke to old Kratos with Terrence Carson's voice
My man Tyr brought out a katana
Is it just me or are the ashes fading a bit? I feel like I can see areas on his skin getting darker.
The creators confirmed it. They are fading gradually
They are. It’s mostly because since the ashes are tied to his past sins as the Ghost of Sparta and he’s gradually learning to forgive his own sins instead of adding to them like he used to, the ashes are starting to fade.
@@cmurphy0707 and what’s next? Is Kratos finally gonna get his original normal skin back? I hope so
They'll fade a bit, but I don't think they'll ever be truly gone. They're a part of who Kratos is, for good or for ill. They are an eternal reminder to him of why he can't just be sorry, he must be better.
@@sodasaintcommentaries4054 True, the Ghost of Sparta will always be a part of who he was, the ashes will likely serve as a reminder to ensure that the Ghost of Sparta truly remains only a ghost. If they can do that successfully, then there may come a time when Kratos no longer notices them at all.
Current Kratos has the eyes of an old lion that may be slower to anger but will remind other that he's still a lion. Young Kratos looks like an obeys that hasn't realize that it has become what it glared at.
He looks like a cycle of war and peace. A season that never seems to end which being nothing bur horror only for it to finally break way to self reflection, realization, reclamation, and honest growth. Then we grow fat, good times creating weak men who make bad time and again we grow strong where those bad time make strong men who make good times.
This from a free DLC.
It's just a shame they couldn't bring Terrence C. Carson back to voice a few lines for some back and forth with Judge.
Me seeing this over and over again: *Clapping hands together everytime*
5:51 That lil Extra shake. The “No hard feelings I just had to get it out” Love‼️🫡💯
Is nobody gonna ask why Tyr just pulled out a fricking katana!!
This is an amazing end of kratos's story and I think there is no more god of war needed with kratos as main character he has come to finally forgive himself
I wonder if we'll ever get to the point where the Ash truly fades.
No. Because that's his iconic look
Voice acting is ungodly superb
the animation here is sublime
Shows just how strong tyr is, hes a beast
What I love about this is that Tyr is using weapons from different cultures. He really did become Mr. Worldwide.
7:17 Christopher Judge once felt voice acting was where actors go when their on screen careers are over. I believe his opinion has since changed with the reception of his work in God of war, but I feel acting of this level, in any medium, with this kind of emotion and depth and story fueling it, is something to be seen as an accomplishment and a height of ones craft. Always.
He did an excellent job with Kratos, but there will always, ALWAYS, be a part of me that wishes the Devs stuck with Terrence Carson. An absolutely iconic voice and all the impact we feel seeing Kratos change, would have been even more impactful with the original voice actor behind it.
Tyr is almost equal to Kratos. But he is more a master to Kratos. Since he fail his duties as the God of War, he want to teach Kratos was is truly be a God of War. This aventure is the final path to know that war doesnt mean death and destruction, but hope.
No I'm pretty sure the definition of war is death and destruction
What would have made this ending perfect... Is if Kratos got to fight his younger self. Can you imagine how many heads would explode at the thought of fighting younger Kratos at the Final Super Boss who is most likely going to be damn near impossible to defeat?
A well-deserved therapy 👏
