      You need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake, this may also be called the Hand Brake, in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle. You can learn more about the Green Parking Brake Wire here:

    Ok, good video, I understand all that. My problem is that my laptop, which I use to watch movies in my trailer, is connecting to the AVH-211EX as a "Voice" not a "Music" device. Other devices connecting to the AVH like iPad, BT speakers, etc. connect as MUSIC devices. When the laptop connects as a voice device the sound breaks up and it is not suitable for movies, etc. Is there anyway to force a connecting device to connect as MUSIC. I saw the phone symbol and music next to the device you connected. Is there anyway to force a connection into one mode or the other. I don't know if this is determined by the transmitter or the AVH receiver. Windows 10 doesn't seem to have an option to force the connection one or the other either.

      Pioneer receivers are designed to operate with many Android based phones and iPhones. Most phones connect to the receiver for phone calls. When you choose the Bluetooth Audio Source on the in-dash receiver, and begin to play music from the connected phone, the connection then becomes a music connection, until a phone call is received. A phone call is treated as a separate source. You can see a video about using Bluetooth Audio here: th-cam.com/video/kBf9sYwE4dE/w-d-xo.html If you are hearing distorted audio from the receiver when connected through Bluetooth to a computer, you may be overloading the Bluetooth input on the in-dash receiver. To test, I recommend to lower the volume output from your computer to about 25-50% to see it that helps. Adjust the volume on the in-dash receiver after finding the best output level from the computer. Please be aware, Pioneer receivers are not designed as Bluetooth speakers. There may be a delay in the sound output compared to the video you are watching. • @deckerdotto6035

      The Parking Brake is an important safety feature for any vehicle. I recommend to have the parking brake repaired by a qualified technician as soon as possible. The in-dash receiver's Green Parking Brake Wire needs to be installed on the repaired Parking Brake. The Parking Brake must be applied in an ON-OFF-ON operation to access the Bluetooth Settings on the in-dash receiver. There’s something weird happening with my 210EX Bluetooth. When a phone is connected, Music plays, videos play but calls don’t come through the speakers. Callers are able to hear me, but I cannot hear them. I’ve reset to factory settings and it’s the same thing. Does anyone have a fix?

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you are on a phone call, please be sure to raise the in-dash receiver volume to a listenable level and to check the phone’s call volume. Pioneer in-dash receivers output Bluetooth Phone Call audio to the FRONT speaker outputs and FRONT RCA outputs only. Bluetooth Audio, or music played from your phone, will play through all outputs, both front and rear. Your in-dash receiver may be installed incorrectly. There is an easy way to test it. Using the Fader control, fade the audio output all the way to the FRONT. You can see how to use the fader control in this video: th-cam.com/video/XA-PlD7EXH8/w-d-xo.html Can you hear music? Can you hear phone calls. If you fade the system all the way to the front and can not hear music, that means the in-dash receiver’s FRONT audio outputs are not connected in your system. Need help with wiring your Pioneer System? This video explains the wire harness system: th-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/w-d-xo.html You can find a full playlist of How To videos about Pioneer AVH-210EX here: th-cam.com/video/NIpsCfBPimg/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

      The Parking Brake is an important safety feature for any vehicle. If your vehicle's Parking Brake is not functioning properly, I strongly recommend taking the vehicle to a qualified technician for proper repairs. If you're saying the in-dash receivers Bluetooth Menu is not available even with the vehicle's Parking Brake engaged, you need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle. You guys really need to update this parking brake non sense . This is incredibly frustrating and I would not have purchased this unit if I knew this before. No one wants to take a part the whole dash for a wire JUST TO REMOVE AN IPHONE FROM THE BLUETOOTH MENU.

    The bluetooth connection problem is so bad that I will probably never buy another Pioneer car stereo again. I couldn't do it. Crutchfield couldn't do it. Pioneer couldn't help. There are too many intuitive products out there with easy set-up for purchase rather than wrestling with this thing for hours. Hard pass!!!

Please be sure the in-dash receiver is not connected to another phone during the pairing process. This to can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. If you follow the process shown in the videos mentioned above, and can't immediately pair the phone to the receiver, I recommend to things. 1. Press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-210EX at the bottom of the hard key panel.
      And 2. Restart your phone.
