    your channel is absolutely incredible. Just purchased a used vehicle with the SVH-270BT - and of course no manual for the device. Figured most of it out, being a 'tech-freak' helps always. Found the manual online and saved it on my computer, but what you are showing here is just wonderful. No need to read the whole 50+ pages. Thank you for all the information, it makes the use of it so easy.

    Is it possible to make and receive calls by bluethooth without using the microphone and only using the phone as the microphone or the person on the line won't hear me if the microphone isn't connected?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pioneer AVH-210EX includes an external microphone in the box. The microphone is designed for making hands free Bluetooth phone calls. I recommend to install the microphone. When on a phone call, you can touch the Private button on the receiver screen and you can use the phone without Bluetooth. When you use the Private button you are using the phone as a handset. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/NIpsCfBPimg/w-d-xo.html If the microphone included with the receiver isn't connected, the remote caller will not hear you unless you touch the Private Button on the screen. How do you get the sound to work for the incoming calls. My calls are ringing on my phone.

      The fist step is to pair your phone to the in-dash receiver through Bluetooth. Please watch this Pioneer How To video demonstrating the process for iPhone: th-cam.com/video/Fyt_a9f5yaI/w-d-xo.html and here for Android phone: th-cam.com/video/slvBC_5K2pM/w-d-xo.html You can find a full playlist of How to videos from Pioneer about AVH-110BT here: th-cam.com/video/kBf9sYwE4dE/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

      Yes, on Pioneer AVH-211EX you can switch Phone Call Auto Answer on or off in the Bluetooth Settings menu. Also my next question is ... so there’s a loooong cable for the camera ? Where does the cables for the camera go ? When I get it installed do the cables get hidden ?and what about the microphone ? It’s got a cable too? I don’t want a bunch of cords in my car

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      During a typical car stereo installation, the camera cable would be hidden under the floor carpeting. You won't see it and you won't trip on it. The Bluetooth microphone can be mounted in many different places. When reasonable to do so, I recommend to mount the microphone from the headliner near the vehicles rear view mirror. This way the microphone can "hear" your voice clearly when you are driving. The remote caller is heard through the car speakers. The microphone cable would be tucked under the ceiling cover in the vehicle. You won't see it, and it won't get in the way. And you can still use the sun visor. If you need a rear view camera for your Pioneer in-dash receiver, I recommend Pioneer ND-BC8. I have the 200ex. For some reason, when I get/receive a call, they can't hear me, but I can hear them. The mic cord is connected behind the stereo. Is there a fix for this issue?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button on the AVH-200EX. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-200EX at the bottom of the Hard Key panel. If this doesn't correct the issue I recommend to test the system with a different phone connected to the in-dash receiver. Disconnect your phone, and make a call, with the second phone as a test. If the issue still persists, the microphone, or it's connection wire is likely the issue. At that point the product may need to be serviced, or the microphone replaced. You can contact Pioneer customer service in the US here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or you could buy a new microphone from Pioneer's parts distributor in the US, PacParts here: www.pacparts.com/part.cfm?part_no=CPM1111&mfg=Pioneer You can find more videos about Pioneer AVH-200EX here: th-cam.com/video/oVH5gvX5Rfs/w-d-xo.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

      Please be sure your phone is not connected to another device like a head set or portable speaker. This can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button on the AVH-200EX. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. So my question is since you can’t use the keypad to make calls while your car is in motion or not in park. Can you still make a phone call and talk o the phone while you are driving either using your phone to dial will it connect if you use your phone and then it automatically connects the call to the pioneer unit? And also what about iPhone Apple Music? Will it recognize my phones music instantly also? I’m looking to getting this unit as long as it can do almost everything my car can do now and I will put this in s base model Jetta .

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When using Pioneer AVH-210EX, all incoming calls can be answered, and you can talk while you are driving. You can make a phone call and talk while you are driving. Not in Park. Phone calls can be made from your favorites, your contact list, or from recent incoming and outgoing calls list. The only part that is restricted is the keypad. You could pick up your phone at any time and dial a number. The phone will stay connected to the in-dash receiver through Bluetooth if you are dialing from the phone. That does not change the Bluetooth connection at all. You can play music from nearly an app from your phone including Apple Music through the Bluetooth Audio Source. You can see it in this video: th-cam.com/video/xAyQSChMGnk/w-d-xo.html In this video you can see how to connect your iPhone to the in-dash receiver: th-cam.com/video/Fyt_a9f5yaI/w-d-xo.html For more functionality with your iPhone, you may want to consider a Pioneer in-dash receiver that works with Apple CarPlay like the AVH-1500NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/0W3jFTIUmME/w-d-xo.html or the Pioneer DMH-1500NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/I1XFyRiTZKc/w-d-xo.html When using Apple CarPlay all phone calls can be made by voice as seen here: th-cam.com/video/_P3_aPDLK2E/w-d-xo.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

    Where is the mic? Is it the phone or the radio?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not the phone or the radio. The Bluetooth microphone for Pioneer AVH-210EX is external. It plugs into the back of the in-dash receiver and is typically installed on the vehicle headliner near the driver so the microphone can "hear" the driver speaking in a comfortable voice. You can see it in this unboxing video: th-cam.com/video/ytUlUsi15Uc/w-d-xo.html You can learn more about the Pioneer AVH-210EX here: th-cam.com/video/oVH5gvX5Rfs/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

    I cant listen to the other person in line when connected to the unit, they can hear me but I cant hear them. It also only happens as I'm in a call, media played through Bluetooth works fine, is just call audio that Im not able to hear

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please be sure you have the volume up on your phone during the call, and you have adjusted the volume on the in-dash receiver when you are on a call. If you have adjusted the volume and you still can't hear the remote caller, your in-dash receiver may be wired incorrectly. On Pioneer in-dash receivers, when on a phone call, the remote caller is heard from the FRONT Speaker/RCA outputs ONLY. The remote caller is NOT heard from the rear speakers/RCA outputs. Bluetooth music is heard from all speakers both front and rear. Please do this test with your system. Play music from the radio. Using the audio controls, Fade the system all the way to the front. If you can't hear any music playing, this means the FRONT Speaker/RCA outputs are not connected in your system. You can see the fader in operation in this video: th-cam.com/video/XA-PlD7EXH8/w-d-xo.html You can learn more about wiring your Pioneer system here: th-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

      @@deckerdotto6035 WOW! I had this same problem for months now and I’ve been super frustrated about it, I didn’t realize the volume during the call needs to be adjusted somewhat separately from the music volume. My call volume on my phone was all the way up, but on the system it was at 0 😐. Super annoyed for not figuring that out on my own, but thank you very much for the help, it definitely helped (me atleast). Thank you!
