Thanks for your detailed videos. I’m New to the points game and have our first Hyatt trip planned for Nov. Any tips on getting a guest of honor pass legitimately?
I think there are FB groups that explicitly are for "gifting". Also, follow Travel hacking creators on Instagram, maybe gift out their Guest of Honor certificates usually at the end of the year.
Thanks for sharing some great tips. What do you do when you try to book a Hyatt room that has a maximum occupancy of 3 people but you have a family of 4( 2adult+2 children )and the youngest child is 5yrs old.
My answer would depend on which country you're booking that Hyatt. Many international Hyatt hotels have very strict max occupancy rules due to Fire regulations. I know people that have skirted them successfully by sneaking people in. However, I have also heard of horror stories where people were forced to pay for a last minute room at full standard pricing. One unique benefit for Hyatt is the Family Rate, when booking the second room. Many properties allow for a second connecting room to your first one at say 35 - 50% off. We leveraged this for London and Paris. We also held rooms in Tokyo but never used it due to a last minute change in plans.
Any other hotels with good club access besides what you mentioned? I have had to burn my club access awards in the past . Hard to find hotels that still have club access
Hi Jen, you're correct. Unfortunately, several of the urban Hyatt Regency's have decided to pull lounge access. However, there are still a lot of gems to be found. I did a quick scan of recent trip reports from some globalist forums and here are some that have had really good reviews: Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Grand Hyatt DC, Hyatt Regency Malta, Grand Hyatt Fukuoka
I have noticed many have returned in recent months. Tbh I usually prefer the restaurant breakfast benefit to what is offered in the lounge so it's disappointing for me.

Also the Grand Hyatt Singapore (recently remodeled) and the Grand Hyatt Manila, Philippines.
