Hy, stumbled across this channel couple months back, simply amazing. I have a switch oled board with torn pad on the same place where you have a hole in apu. Where does this pad go to?

Hi if it is the hole that was on top of the APU this goes the the inner layers of the APU. The hole under the APU goes to the emmc chip. Gr. Jim

Ehy Jim! Nice job on the board, it's been a fantastic try whatsoever.
I have a similar damage on a board of mine, luckily no apu drill, but the clk via has been damaged. Probably it's been over scraped and gone a layer down too.
Once removed the emmc and the apu, does the jumper need to go straight from the emmc point to apu point?

Hi correct this line goes from the emmc to the APU. The copper line goes into a inner layer which is not accessible as far i know. Gr. Jim

Did you need to connect the line to the apu below the processor or in the video images you can see the line to which you had to make the jumper instead of sending it to the emmc line it goes to the apu line

I could not find the copper trace from the apu to the emmc that is why i made the jumper instead but if would never worked as there was a hole in the APU :)

Jimmy, my Switch Lite was showing no left d-pad and the left stick would only move vertically (no X-axis), so I figured it could be an issue related to the daughterboard connector. I disassembled the board, soldered a new connector onto the main board and now it won't power on, charge or display an image or play any sound. Upon plugging it into the wall, it' sits @ 0.41A and then changes to 0.43A, and it keeps cycling and nothing else happens.
What do you think my issue could be?

Hi, you should first try to redo your previous repair attempt and check if there is no short or bad connections. in my experience the 0.41 A is emmc related but in your case i suspect you did something that caused it :( Gr. Jim

Why would anyone drill the APU? What was he trying to achieve with that? This had to be someone with some experience, would a total beginner really have a drill and chose to use on the PCB?
