Very High Tech fundamentals of a Vintage Toyota Land Cruiser 2nd Generation 2bbl F1.5 AISIAN OEM Factory Carburetor , the facts in this TECHNICAL Tutorial are SOLID ! good show Red Line ..
Heard your comment about elevation. Me, "I wonder if they are in the Springs". Found your website and saw that you all do, would like to visit and learn what I can from you all if that is alright. Last weekend I purchased a FJ60. It came with a spare engine 3F, not sure the year, will need to look up that stuff. I started to take it appart. The current engine starts to die if you push in the choke, maybe not warmed up enough? The body needs work.
If you were to live in a place like Colorado Springs. You like to go into the mountains. You got a FJ60 recently with a spare engine from a FJ 62. Would you stay with the car or go with the fuel injection?
I can't seem to get my original mechanical fuel pump to match the carb for some reason. I've got an electric pump in there now but I hate it. Ideas? I'm at 8,600 ft and up.
Loved this video. Had the info i have been looking for. I bought a 1970 fj40 with its orginal F-engine, but it runs like crap. We have already done alot to it and it didnt have too many miles, or poor mantinence. However, it still has a few problems. Firstly, the carb mixture screw doesnt do anything. For some reason it has a 2f carb on it right now. Would having a 2f carb on a 1f engine really change all that much with how it runs? Also when driving the car up a small hill, there is a lack of power, as well as you have to rev the piss out of it to get up the hill. We just ordered a correct carb and hopefully that works.
@@Redlinelandcruiserscolorado yes it did. I was able to find a date code one and rebuilt it completely. The idle soleniod needed constant power to stay idling.
I don't think you would want to put such a heavy transmission (80-Series) onto the older F/2F engine. The did with the 3Fe and auto trans for both the 62-Series and FJ80 (1991-1992) 80-Series. Are you specifically looking to put an auto-trans in an FJ40? Give us a call at the shop some time to discuss: 719.638.2003
I couldn't agree more. Stock carb worked flawless above Leadville at 12000 ft.
AWESOME! That's what we like to hear!

THANK YOU!!!!
Great video on the F! Please make a rendition of this video talking about all of the same things for a 2F! Pretty please!
How does the oiling work differently on the 2F? Is the 2F carb same way to change jets?
Great suggestion! I'm sure we will do so soon!
Outstanding
Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!

Did the correct carb help? Sorry for the 1-year later response!!!!
