Ive got a 3F from "86 in a 62 series Sahara on LPG/PETROL, it's done 700.000km still going strong mate. Had to replace one Welsh plug a couple of weeks ago, that's all the work done on the actual engine.
Do the oil and filter changes on time the thing will run forever.

Chop the old 3f mounts off.
Chop the 2h mounts off then just line it up with the motor on a hoist.
And weld them into place. It’s not hard man. Good job love the work

Old Toyota motors are easy to work on and since it’s a Japanese car you can still get new parts
It would be nice to go off road with ya but no money for my rig build ( not really a build )

See the marks around the tops of the bores? They are ring slap witness marks. Maybe get the block to the machine shop as well aye.

That's reach marks mate, where the rings don't reach in the sleeves. Seen them all my life, it doesn't always mean the sleeves are shot.
