    Great overview Neil! That really helps give the scale to those of us who don't have one. I just actually did a video about my Mark Jenkins Slash ultimate edition, I just converted it to the clipless set up and was so happy they made conversion kits for the older models! It fit perfectly I'm very glad I did it! Great video brother! 💯 🤜 🤛

      @UDRC85 Thanks bro💪 Took it for a rip today, it feels like a Maxx. I had some crazy moments where the wind was pushing it in the air but that was expected, crazy windy today.

    Hi ReadySet, that is a nice looking Traxxas Maxx Slash. Traxxas is really using that chassis for a lot of there newer RCs, that should make it a lot easier to work on since it's like the XRT, Maxx V1-3 lots of parts to adapt to help customize this RC. The comparison with the Slash, Raptor and how it might be possible to put the Raptor body on the Maxx Slash chassis, seems like who ever does it will have to do a lot of trimming on the body to get it to fit. I have to agree that the Mojave 4s comes close to the Maxx Slash. Awesome overview and comparison video, I really enjoy your un-boxings and overview video, (note taking) to help improve my unboxing videos. Take care and best wishes to you and the family.

      @sparetimerc Those folks over at Traxxas seem to be always forward thinking. They find ways to reuse a chassis so there is immediate parts support and if you want to customize there isn't much needed to do. Keep pumping out those vids. You're doing great👍

    Nice vid bro! Have you had any issues with the driveshafts on this bad boy? I have a Rustler VXL 2WD and the stock driveshafts exploded, went to the Traxxas metal CV and they busted too!! Pretty much every time I drive the Rustler I break it. Looking to maybe get the Maxx Slash for parking lot bashing...

    The spring rate is not the same, traxxas told me the Maxx slash front springs are 1.150 and rear 1.4.

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @2LocosRCing Thanks for the info but that wasn't my point. I was stating you will need to swap out the springs if you plan to do the wide kit conversion.

      @@ReadySetRC ooh I gotcha,my momma always told me to open my ears 😆...yea that's how I found out about the spring rate. Widemaxx kit on it is sick, didn't hardly have to trim the body.

      @@2LocosRCing Great info on the springs! I know folks are going to widemaxx Slash / MaxxRT the mess out of this. Took it out for the first time today. I'm impressed. Parachuting, expected but it was really windy today but it felt like a Maxx which is what I wanted. Winner from Traxxas.

    To make it fair you need to compare the Mojave 6S to the Maxx slash 6S !!!

      @ReadySetRC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @RickyDRC1968 Power wise I totally agree but size comparison it's going to come closer to the 4S size.

    Need your help and input. I am the owner of Traxxas Raptor R. It is my 1st RC car. Love it, I am not a basher. Rather prefer high speed on gravel roads or asphalt. I like my Raptor especially when accelerating the car does not lift his front up. It drives crazy in drift during high speed. Hence I love it. However I was thinking to sell my Ford Raptor R (probably it's not cost effective). And buy a brand new Model TRAXXAS Maxx Slash 4WD VXL 6S 1/8. I think I would like to have more durable car. Do you think it's a good idea for such swap. Or it doesn't make any sense. Since my car is only 5 months old. Originally I was thinking of buying in March/ April 2nd car huge one and just keep my Traxxas Raptor R. Either TRAXXAS XRT ULTIMATE 8S 4WD 1/5 or ARRMA Kraton 8S BLX 4WD 1/5 RTR. When replacing Traxxas Raptor R with a brand new Maxx Slash 4WD VXL 6S 1/8. I don't want to loose Raptor R grip and handling at high speeds on gravel or asphalt surface. In your opinion does it make sense such move? Or I should just buy 2nd bigger car? I don't like when accelerating front of the car is lifting in the air like with XMaxx. I saw some video when new Maxx Slash 4WD VXL 6S is lifting as well. I don't have this kind of issues with Raptor R. Greetings from Poland.

      @FPV_Luke Greetings Poland! I like a little variety in my collect. I will say if you don't plan on bashing the Raptor R and only for high speed pass on asphalt and dirt I wouldn't even look at the Maxx Slash(you may want to avoid my Maxx Slash video for tomorrow😊) What's really happening on those truck with the front lifting is the back is really squatting. The Summit and E-Revo use to be huge with that effect. The way to correct it is just to give it some preload on the rear shocks. Reduces that squat. The Maxx Slash is a great ripper but it wants to bash. I'd recommend keep the Raptor, get the big truggy of your choice and enjoy that ripping. Thanks for stopping in and I hope this helps in your decision. Love to read what you decided.

      @@ReadySetRC Greetings USA! Firstly thank you for prompt response, appreciate. I was thinking over the night and based on your feedback. I'll follow your advice. This is correct I am not planning bashing. Hence will keep my Raptor R. And add 2nd RC car into my beginner collection. It will be most probably TRAXXAS XRT ULTIMATE 8S 4WD or ARRMA Kraton 8S BLX 4WD 1/5 RTR. I know they are proper basher cars. I just need something powerful/ huge with low center of gravity. With the ability to drive high speed in tight corners on asphalt and dirt. Cheers as well for the explanation of front lifting. It will take me few months to buy this car, right now we have winter. But I'll came back and let you know what I bought, once ready of course. OK now I am going to watch your new video about Maxx Slash :-) All the best!

    Single worst RC I ever purchased. $700 for what is basically something on par with a Waltmart sold New Bright RC. Esc blew within the first 2 weeks of owning it. I had the same thing happen with the Sledge which is the second worst RC I ever purchased. When a $700 rc has zero throttle control, you know you are not dealing with a well engineered vechile. A $300 Redcat Valkyrie runs circles around this in terms of throttle control. This is unacceptable on Traxxas part and they should prepare to start losing sales to competitors who charge way less and who have managed to figure out how to make esc's and motors that offer a realistic driving experience. Traxxas does not. The Maxx/Slash, the Sledge, Raptor R, Slash, Hoss all have no throttle control. Their 6s vechiles are really 4s vechiles and 3s vechiles are really 2s vechiles. As a result, way overpriced and can't compete with competitors who charge much less but offer much more. They annoy me.
