      Autogefühl Gestern wurden zwei Raser in Berlin zu lebenslangen Haftstrafen verurteilt. Die beiden jungen Fahrer hatten sich in ihren 300 bis 400 PS starken Autos ein Straßenrennen geliefert. Über ungefähr 10 rote Ampeln mit bis zu 160 km/h durch die Stadt. An der letzten roten Ampel rasten die Rowdies in den Wagen eines 69 Jahre alten Mannes, der bei Grün über die Kreuzung fuhr. Durch den extrem heftigen Aufprall war dieser sofort tot.
      Nach diesem Vorfall erscheint die Überschrift "Autobahn Godzilla" noch perverser.
      Autogefühl hat mit Sicherheit viele junge "Kunden". Können Sie als Autogefühl Team es weiter verantworten, diese Art reißerische Titel zu verwenden? Geschweige denn solche Autos überhaupt zu testen?
      Anfangs hatte ich noch einen recht positiven Eindruck von Ihnen.
      Das ändert sich in letzter Zeit leider grundlegend.
      Eine "Mordwaffe" mit fast 600 PS ist laut Autogefühl etwas sehr Positives, das ja so viel Spaß bereitet, Hauptsache die Sitze sind nicht mit Tierhaut bezogen.
      Wieviel ist Autogefühl ein Menschenleben wert?
      Wieviel ist Autogefühl die Umwelt wirklich wert?
      Sind diese genannten Punkte mehr wert als der finanzielle "Erfolg"?
      Wenn ja, dann ändern Sie das Konzept Ihres Formats konsequent in die richtige Richtung. Auf die Dauer werden Sie mit Unrecht keinen Erfolg haben!

      Christian Schumacher Sie übertreiben massiv. Was kann denn Autogefühl dafür dass sich irgendwelche Idioten in der Innenstadt ein Rennen leisten.
      Er sagt immer explizit, dass er nur beschleunigt wo es erlaubt ist, nämlich auf der Autobahn. Außerdem wird sich jetzt kein Jugendlicher einfach mal so einen gtr kaufen. Eigentlich ist es völlig egal wieviel Leistung das Fahrzeug hat Dummheiten begehen die Leute auch in einem Micra.

      Autogefuehl is always about safety first. We are paying more attention to that than any other car channel. We are always playing it safe and tell everyone not to deactivate the ESC (which I did in this episode as well), drive safe, and we are not doing drifting, burn outs etc. on public roads. We are always keeping the speed limit. We get a lot of comments like "oh you got this sports car and then only do this boring stuff", so on Autogefuehl, it is exactly the other way around.

      Autogefühl Why this title "Autobahn Godzilla"? You are praising the power of the car instead of being critical about it.
      560 hp are far too much. Not only for safety reasons. But also for our environment.
      The accident in Berlin with two street racers killing an old man with their almost 400 hp weapons is just the tip of the iceberg. Aggressive, reckless behaviour is increasing rapidly in our streets. These aggressively styled, big and strong cars are supporting this trend. And here comes Autogefühl with its "Autobahn Godzilla". Not the slightest self critical aspect in your answer to my comment.
      You as Autogefühl want to be different than all the other car channels? Why don't you just say you wouldn't test any car with more than 150 hp anymore?
      Let's put it to the extreme for a moment to make it more clear. Let's say you tested tanks. You as "Tankgefühl" would present a video with the title "War Godzilla" and say for example: " The tank has a very good handling, the seating position however only fits for small people, the deep, aggressively roaring motor sound gives me creeps, the interior makes a good impression, the build quality is very solid and the tank has a very aggressive and intimidating exterior design, which I like very much. The tank shoots very well and you can hit targets which are 2 miles away. But I say very clearly: We as Tankgefühl test these wonderful tanks only on the firing range. With Tankgefühl it's always safety first. We recommend to never use these tanks outside the firing range".
      (And if our viewers want to see more tank reviews with even stronger tanks we are going to make reviews with stronger tanks.
      We are only committed to our viewers. We state in every review: never use this tank for shooting on people. We as Tankgefühl have a clean record.)
      Everybody (with very few exceptions) would of course say testing these tanks itself is morally not okay. Everybody knows that they are used in real life.
      But isn't the same true with those strong cars? They are most of the time used and quite often abused as aggressive and dangerous weapons on the real Autobahn, on the real roads and city streets.
      Here comes Mr Superdriver with his "Autobahn Godzilla". Of course he keeps all the speed limits, at least as long as there is a police car around. He is a good and secure driver. He drives with more than 150 mph only if the Autobahn is free. And he knows how to make a free way very well. Here comes "Autobahn Godzilla".

    The car might deserve some negative critics, but you can search for long time if you want to find an other car matching the power, fun, uniqueness for the price tag of a GTR. Don't forget the Porsche Turbo being the closest match, is nearly double the price with equivalent options, OK it is more refined and probably the better car... but I prefer a GTR plus 80.000€ spare money for the running cost and some aftermarket upgrades. This is an important point, you have so many aftermarket options to refine every aspect of the GTR to fine tune it to your liking's, that I am convinced it is THE Supercar bargain since years already!

      GTR sales are being dragged down by the 70k dollar cameros, gt350's and the corvettes .

    Amazing car, really like the restyling even if it's an old platform. I can't imagine how hard it will be for Nissan to make a new generation that can beat this one!

      By letting it have 3 good seats in the back instead of 2 tiny ones. And by improving the minor issues to make the driver and passengers feel better in their daily routines , such as a more comfortable ride & handling , a better steering-wheel sensation & feedback , better armrest position , adaptive cup holders , wider driver (and probably other) seat(s) , less fuel consumption , more noise cancellation , better looking modern dash , more luxury and options in general , etc. ... just to new the few ;-)

      krikx08 you're looking at the wrong car category. 3decent rear seats? It's a high performance GT. They All are 2+2 seats. Some only 2. You need a big sedan, not a coupé.

      krikx08 if you want those things I suggest you go buy another Nissan that has those things.. a Nissan Ultima/Teana.
      also seriously, to make those things reality, the car would need to be more expensive, heavier, slower, and much much larger than it is. You're completely missing the point of why a Nissan GTR exists!

    this car is not about interior quality is all about engineering of japanese! Handling, engine, aerodynamic just watch nat geo documentry for this amazing car production. note: still fastest mass production car in nurburgring.

      @Peanut Buzzard Similar to how we don't drive around in cars with 1 seat and 50 hp, we always WANT something nice. Nobody needs a Toyota Corolla and nobody needs a Nissan GTR. It's just nice to know what it can do.

      I have 2013 GTR and love it, never selling it. Does a new 911 turbo, not the S version, regular Turbo accelerate harder than the GTR?

    Your high speed acceleration was awesome!! While the Tesla is fast, the GT-R has an element of 'danger' to it (noise, vibration, thrust). The intensity on your face (30:55 - 31:05) was so funny. Insane was a good word to describe how it feels to accelerate in a GT-R.

    Godzilla never disappoints ~~ That's just a fact~ The GT-R is somewhat very Nissan in the fact that it has had slight updates, but mostly the same, and some of the switchgear and parts are similar: the steering wheel is similar to what is in some Infinity products, the dial that controls the touch screen is also from some Nissan and Infinity products. But overall, the car is mainly the same without huge updates, which Nissan is known for not upating their vehicles all that much :D But overall, the GT-R is still in my opinion, the best Nissan vehicle ever.

    The car still looks alright and very modern after 10 years. There are some areas in the interior/dash lay-out that I still prefer with the older GT-R and some with this brand new version. Phenomenal acceleration!

You are only reporting on the cars; people can make up their own mind about the issues - there's an English expression for this: "Don't shoot the messenger!"

    I own a 2012 Nissan GT-R and that is how I feel when I drive the car. The car may be old but it is hoot to drive and INSANE !!!!

    Hey Thomas! I know this video is almost 2 years old, but just to let you know the place you inserted the key fob to the left of the steering wheel actually has a functional purpose. If your key fobs battery is dead, you can insert the key fob inside that slot and you can still start and drive the car. Thanks for reading, and GREAT review as always!

    The fact that the GT-R, at least in your video, did 250 km/h in around 17 seconds is insane, from when I timed it. Of course, it's not accurate, because that digital speedometer is hard to read, but it's still wicked fast for how old it is.

    I really enjoyed watching your comments on the Gtr you have a very fair and understanding opinion of the car good commentary but less face it the porsche 911 turbo s is a beast of a car but the Nissan Gtr is still a bargain of a car I would not say no to it if someone gave me one it still a good car for what it is thank you again for a lovely video my opinion you are right for this job peace my brother

      GTR was a competitor of 911(997) Turbo. But it’s 991.2 for Porsche now, we need to wait for R36🌚

    Great Video Thomas , your reviews are so detailed and great hi-def quality .... I have owned a blue my11 GTR for 5 years , its always an experience to drive it , recently changed the exhaust and intakes , now has a mad sound - esp the intake noise ....another change I'd like to make is the drivers seat , stock has very little lateral support ...Look forward to the new GT3 review :)

    I dont know if its already written on the comment section but here goes..@ 10:38 the key fob hole on the left lower side near the steering wheel, yup its for the key fob, you only insert the key fob on it if its low battery, the car cannot detect the key fob when its on low battery so you need to insert the key fob on it..

    Always appreciate your detailed and unbiased reviews.
    For this review i have to say it was very ..."toned-down" for this car....
    Although i understand the lack of excitement of most European customers and sportscar enthousiasts for Japanese engineering, me as a European citizen with a bit "more luck" to live in a country with RHD cars and full of imports from Japan, i happened to own and appreciate many NISSAN sports cars like the Silvia S15 Spec-R and the BCNR33 GT-R.
    Also to have a first point of view for NISSAN's tuning house , nismo as i had many performance parts installed on the cars i owned.
    Super Coppermix sports clutch, adjustable coilover suspensions, aero parts etc... and those back in the 90's....
    The Japanese passion and culture for tuning is someting that no other country will be able to ever overcome, no matter how many tuning houses open... It is Japan's history... Culture... Life....
    The NISSAN GT-R although at its 9th year already, isn't a car that fell from the sky.
    It carries the heritage of the legendary Skyline GT-R, that conquered almost every race it competed.
    Nobody can even compare to the soul of the GT-R when Mizuno was involved in the development...
    Breakthrough is not to have a supercar with a V12 that can be used only for demo shows...
    I call breakthrough back in 2008 when the GT-R was presented with a V6 Twin Turbo, carbon driveshafts (the R34 Z-Tune first used them back in the early 2003), revolutionary transaxle setup, and aa derivation of the legendary ATTESA E-TS 4WD system at its latest version, making 3.5sec for 0-60 (since 2013 its 2.7 sec) , when only few cars could beat that....
    Performance from another world that could beat (even almost 10 years later) most mass production sports cars.
    A humble VR38DETT Takumi engineer from Japan, has 1000 times more knowledge than the best robot in an assembly line and puts his soul to it.
    The GT-R has conquered all the Japanese GT Championship GT300/GT500 series, outperformed every other car in all comparisons (lateral G, braking, acceleration) and blasted the Nurburgring with the 7:08.
    And all that, half price...
    All these, should have been mentioned....

    Nice to see you reviewing this beast! Anyone who asks "why would I pay 100 000 for a Nissan", is biassed or know nothing about cars. Beautiful car, with a huge charisma and history behind it. Big fan of JP cars, hope they will bring new Supra soon. Will you review NSX as well?

    Latest generation of technology and Mechanism, Nissan gtr. My favorite supercar of all time. Before I was Supra fans but there is real Godzilla on the roads. 😊

    Yes it's already 10 years old but I still love its looks. It still looks hot. This 2017 model looks hotter than the earlier versions of the R35. Anyway i like your review. You really gave us a deep, wider look on this car. If I have the money, I will buy this car without hesitation. I don't care about the other cars if they are faster or better than this, I just love this car because it's unique. Thank you for your amazing review! 😃👏

    Agree - no need to use leather. So many good substitutes. Tesla's new Ultra-White interior is far superior to leather - but feels like it - or softer.

    So funny to see your reaction after a fast blast! 🤣 I'd test drive this GTR in OC, Ca. I was bored and realized how involved my GT3RS driving sensation. Then I drove the GTR again in Vancouver, BC Canada. I liked this the GTR a little more. Nevertheless, I preferred a 348 over the GTR. high speed may not be as important as the pure driving sensations.(steering feel, brake pedal feel and engine sound). Enjoyed your review.     Man you all have a serious grafitti problem there.... I love this car and it is the more mechanical feeling supercar still available even without a manual gearbox. I look forward with upcoming model change of getting 2012-2015 at a decent price.

    as far as I know, Nissan GT-R is very slow response for overtaking. that means if you are driving at normal speed and suddenly press the pedal, it takes couple of seconds before it takes action. 0 to 60 is a very rare in real every day driving.
