@@dreamguardian8320 man I don't know why does that games gets hate but when I played that game it become one of my favourite telltale story game it was fantastic I hoped someone makes sequel of that got games
@@dreamguardian8320 it's really sick when you get addicted playing game with new story of game of thrones of different characters and you don't get to watch or play full ending to series
Right, like fr. Most of these video games would be a lot better than any of Hollywood's most recent movies. With some exceptions like Dune series, Oppenheimer, Anything but you, any recent animated movies like Spiderman Across the Spiderverse, and so on.
@@thegameking3931 i love the game, i replay it regularly and am desperate for a sequel or another game like it, i just mean that it gets made fun of a lot and is kind of a meme online
Ghostbusters: the Video Game (2009) by Atari was actually adapted from the "Ghostbusters 3" script and used most of the original cast to voice their characters. If that doesn't count as a video game that is essentially an interactive movie, I don't know what does.
Death Stranding does a great job at building up tension and making you afraid to come face to face with the enemies. But when you acturally do, you realize that they're so easy to deal with that don't need to sneak around.
There's another game Series that feels like an interactive movie/series, and that game series is Persona! The Persona Games, especially Persona 3 through 5 feels like an interactive anime series where you are the main character. I love those games!
I remember playing Assassin's Creed Revelations and Uncharted Drake's Deception back in 2011, and thinking that their graphics were so cutting edge that it felt more like I was watching a film rather than playing a game
I still remember playing Kingdom Hearts 3 when it came out. A cutscene was so long my controller went into power save mode and shut off from not touching it for so long
Rumble Roses (2004) a Konami Wrestling Game that's basically a mid to late 2000's Spike TV television movie with a sprinkle of Dead Or Alive at least In my opinion still better than GLOW on Netflix RIP
The dark pictures anthology games, tomb raider franchise, mass effects games and silent hills franchise many others too. Fantastic job on the video mojo plays of videos games more like movies.
I don't know how Mafia and Mass Effect were left off this list. Mafia is a trilogy that spans across 3 different time periods through the eyes of three different characters. Mass Effect 1 through 3 was excellent sans the obvious ending to 3. Almost every major decision made impacts the next game. These two had as much of a place on this list as RDR did.
Wasn't on the list but Ghost of Tsushima. I know that a movie about it is in development, directed by the John Wick director, but I'd just like to throw it out there
@@Nov-5062 Because Sonic the Hedgehog and the Super Mario Bros were different but faithful and loving. As long whoever's writing about them loves what makes them great, they'll be in good hands, whether in games or movies, and that's OK
The fact that Tekken didn't make the cut on this list is a HUGE SLAP in the face to even all the most hardcore of fighting game fans like me, especially given its ongoing storyline from the start of the franchise by itself.
Sly Cooper 4 Thieves in Time is just a movie with the most Biggest Cliffhanger in History of Video Games. Because we can't get Sly 5, Sly deserves it's movie what got even a trailer many years ago. 😮😢
Insomniac Spider Man series are like another series of Spider-Man movies. They are some of the best Spider Man movies as well. Plus I use TASM 2 suit in Marvel's Spider Man 2 to make ot close to TASM 3
Tell Tale Games, (sigh) how I miss it😢 I know their trying to bring it back, along with The Wolf Among Us, but it just won't feel the same, now that Game of Thrones is gone and dose not seem to be able to ever come back. That was my favorite TTG, and I found it better than the TV series. ⚔❄
The cutscenes in the Uncharted games were so long sometimes when they'd end I'd just sit there, like I forgot I was playing a game, waiting for the character move on its own.
I agree with this list, but there’s a few others that were left out that comes to mind. Any of the platinum games like Bayonetta and Astral Chain are definitely fun to watch, A Plague Tale is another cool one, and Detroit Becomes Human is another great one!
I watched a friend play through all three Original God of War games back to back. We did it over a weekend, and in to the week, and when it was done I felt like I had binged three movies, or three seasons of a TV series even. It was neat. Did the same thing with the Kingdom Hearts series, though that took longer. 👍🏻
My first game I played that was a Visual Novel game was Danganronpa on the PS Vita. It got me hooked on the series and in to VN. Playing Ace attorney series on the Switch and loving it. I think that VN are under rated to other people because of the heavy text based instead of all actions. I played most of these games and loved most of them. For me sometimes I enjoy setting down the controller and enjoying the long cut scenes.
Even in other ports is like movie too: NES/Famicom: Vice Project Doom: The more you play, the more discover the true nature of the game itself, especially the characters Ninja Gaiden series: One of the earliest game with plenty of cutscenes SNES/Sega Genesis: Maximum Carnage: Comic book style movie Playstation 1: Metal Gear Soild: Cutscenes with melodramatic twist and stock footages Covert Ops Nuclear Dawn: Have you watched Under Siege 2?
Every David Cage game feels like a movie, where all you do is move and make bad decisions. They would have been more entertaining if they were released on Netflix as those interactive movies.
Yes it did make on our list on the PS4 or on the PS3 or on the switch like La Noire and Red Dead Redemption Series and Resident Evil Series and Until Dawn and Uncharted Series is more movie than game or games
@@spectrebull i didn't say you did, i was referring to the watchmojo list, where the resident evil franchise isn't as cinematic as they say it is... They could just stated Life is Strange instead of Resident Evil

Top 20 Video Games Who DESERVE a (New) Movie!
Metroid: Other M, very specifically. It's more of a movie than a game.
All of the Metal Gear Solid games, and the Monkey Island series

Uncharted 4 was made in 2016?! The graphics hold up till 2024
Agreed.
Hell yeah. I still find myself going back to it all these years later. It’s aged like wine
people sh*t on LA Noire, but it was a really ambitious game using the MotionScan tech
Why people shit on that it was greatest detective open world gta style game and there are many people who wants sequel or remake atleast
I absolutely enjoyed playing LA Noire on the PS3 . Wish they made a remake or remaster of it or give it a sequel for next gen

The facial animations are ass and way over exaggerated for a system that said it would have near realistic scans of people

Ghost of Tsushima would’ve been a good honorable mention. It’s basically a Kurosawa film.

No Detroit? Thats crazy
That's what I was expecting. At least a mention.
