I will say that if the new FF7 does not provide a change to the can't save/revive her I will truly be disappointed. As it is a remake there should be that possibility even if its nearly impossible to do. Its an important moment and should not be cheapened but there are ways to bring her back or save her that could be equally impactful and just as surprising. One idea of mine is that they make it a player choice as to who uses the holy material and is therefore targeted by Sephiroth and dies; allowing the fact YOU chose who died to be part of the emotional punch of it. Imagine it was Barret or Tifa that died at that time instead of Aeris as the side effect of doing some sort of optional quest or something. Instead Aeris is restrained or something so she cannot be in the wrong place at the wrong time and now she has a character arc of dealing with survivors guilt over it. That would make the new FF7 have a twist that most would not see coming.
One of the more shoking VG moments for me personally was the reveal of Obi and her brother and all they were connected to in Octopath Traveler 2. She was just an annoying reporter in Partito's storyline. Popping up everywhere so I expected she might be a stalker at worst. The Eagle of Ku was in fact shady as hell. but at the same time he seemed genuinely behind Hikari and his goal. So him being Oboro a dude that only existed as a random Journal found in the start of the game and only as a name really... yet in fact he set up everything in some way. His co-conspirators were all top notch sneaky lil bastards that seemed off but not that off. Only the dark hunter was known as a bad guy the whole time and they died off screen. I was very shocked at the lore of the game and that lore was woven around Obi and Oboro's actions. Mind blown. I was sus of Al being the hidden big bad.
A few more mentions: 1. Uncharted 4 - learning that Sam’s Alcazar story was all a lie. I hated this moment, because it meant the whole Alcazar flashback was pointless. 2. Ghost of Tsushima - in one of Masako’s tales, you learn that the one behind the massacre of her family was none other than Hana, her sister. 3. Horizon Forbidden West - the first encounter with the Zeniths, especially with another Sobeck clone. 4. Nexomon Extinction - learning the truth about Amelie, and her creating Vados. 5. God of War Ragnarok - during the first chapter playing as Atreus, you learn about an insane secret that Sindri is hiding from Brok.
Yeah, I agree with you. Also adding in a supposdly brother of Drake that was NEVER mentioned before the fourth game was kind of stupid. U4 felt pointless in general.

8:24 it was a very bold decision to kill off his greatest arch enemy. Rocksteady should have kept Paul dini to write his version of Arkham Knight. 17:04 didn’t see this coming first time I played the game. It was fun playing as him in the first game. His demise sure did caused a lot of controversy again Neil and the team.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Where Viktor Reznov Appeared Throughout The Game Only To Be Revealed That After The Prison Escape Everytime He Appeared Was Only A Hallucination By Mason
It always boggles me that a lot of people didn’t realize shiek was Zelda. I called that when I was like 10 and it blew my 16 year old brother away when they revealed. Was my first told ya so I was so proud of lmao now I’m an idiot.
You missed a few... * "Airy Lies" - Bravely Default Airy is the true villain of the game leading the party to not only awaken the crystals, but send them out of control in order to link myriad world's of Luxendarc for her master, Lord Oroborous. * "The World of Ruin" - Final Fantasy VI Rebel band vs. Evil Empire? Not this time! When the Returners finally catch up with the Emperor and Kefka, Kefka quickly turns on his liege, killing him and taking control of the 3 God's of Magic (The Warring Triad) to become a god himself and put the world to ruin. * "Big Boss is Still Alive!" - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots After ending Big Boss 2 times already, it is discovered that the Legendary Mercenary is yet STILL alive at the end of MGS 4, but only long enough to explain Zero, The Patriots, and more before dying to Snake's new strain of the FOXDIE virus.
I knew about the Sheik being Zelda reveal. I played Ocarina of Time 3D, and now, it’s not shocking to me. Also, Aerith’s death would’ve been more shocking if the commercials for the original FF7 didn’t imply that she had died.
I’m surprised that the ending for the walking dead video game didn’t make it. It was one thing for Lee to get bitten it was another thing for Clementine to either shoot him or leave him to turn. That by far should be in this list
TOO BAD THAT SQUARE ENIX FUCKED UP AERITH'S FATE IN FF7 REBIRTH'S FINALE! INSTEAD OF MAKING THAT SHOCKING MOMENT SIMILAR TO THE OG 1997 GAME, THEY JUST FUCKED IT UP SIMILARLY TO KINGDOM HEARTS FUCKERY! & I HATED KINGDOM HEARTS LORE WITH A PASSION!

for GOW Ragnarok I'd say the death of Brok, Odin reveals himself and shockingly kills a great character
@@EjaygamZ that’s definitely a close 2nd to me, but I still can’t get over learning about what Sindri did.
Masako's sister was horrifying. I mean I'd be mad too if I were married off to an abusive prick but I wouldn't slaughter half my bloodline over it.

I guess this was a list more focused on the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Will Friedle deserved an honorable mention for Batman Beyond IMO

how could you not have put Dickson's betrayal of Shulk in Xenoblade 1 in this?!
Zelda reveal blew my mind as a child lmfao. I even called Nintendo to ask if they were getting married. Lmfao

Who thinks that it would've been more awesome if Mantis thanked the player for their support of Konami or is that just me? :p
Great video
I didn't feel the full effect of "Would You Kindly" until I watched the end of Burial @ Sea Part 2.
