I feel like dude makes videos with the same subject every so often...and that's GOOD! Sometimes it's hard to find specific videos of this type you might be looking for, so a "reminder" every now and then is super helpful.
Reminders, and fine-tuning. Plus, you never know when it's gonna be somebody's FIRST video on men's style. Once, when I was younger, I got impatient with cooking videos teaching me what I already knew. Then, I realized...new people who need to know the basics are flocking to this skill-set every day, and the basics are worth repeating
I'm so glad I started watching Real Men Real Style since 2012 and Gentleman's Gazette in 2013, because I found my personal style. I used to call it fashion, but I learned that fashion and style are completely different. What's great about following this long is that those color charts that get posted what pairs best is useless to me. I just instinctively know what colors pair best and I can even add a touch of bright colors to make an outfit pop; like adding bright orange socks to an outfit with beige pants and a bottle green sweater.
Antonio thank you for all your useful knowledge on clothes, hygiene, frags, ethics, and CHARACTER. I have a group of friends (young brothers of my church) who call you “Uncle Antonio” (Tio Antonio in spanish) because I’ve been sharing a lot of your videos on different topics and we have all leveled up in different areas of our life. This is important to note because we’re in the 20’s age range and preparing to attract that XX chromosomed human that will help us fulfill the will of God. Thanks for everything Antonio.
@@keithmcdonnell3082 That is good advice. I only have my sneakers and a basic pair of shoes, which of course are black not that versatile (bought for work long ago).
When it comes to finding your style, I believe the first thing you should do is figure out what style works for you. Having clothes that fit you is good, but unless you know what style you like and are comfortable in that style of clothing, it really doesn't matter how well the clothing fits you.
For someone that is fashion impaired... ie me 😮 I wear what I feel comfortable in 😉 I do wear suits, blazers, jackets, trousers/pants, etc., but only on special occasions. Colour/color coordination is my failure.
Matching a leather accessory such as a watch strap or a belt to the soles of one's shoes involves regular shoe care. This involves correctly and neatly applying edge dressing. I sometimes pair my dressy Oris Artelier with a black leather strap with my burgundy Allen Edmonds' Park Avenue oxfords. The edges of the soles must be black and recently dressed to pull off the look. I learned the virtue of total footgear care in the US Army.
I find copying Tom Ford look with black suit & crisp white dress shirt undone half way generally seems to givesme compliments As it’s different than traditional way to wear suits
Antonio! Do you have a guide for properly matching blazer and trousers? I have a wardrobe of jackets and trousers that are clearly not the same. Basically, i dont have a navy suit, charcoal suit or grey suit (working on those). The nays, acceptibles and yes matches. Harringbone/ stripped/ checkered/solid. Sheen/matte. Etc. Excluding denim
I wear this all the time, so I'll give you my guidelines. These err on the side of being "safe," so feel free to break them as you get more comfortable with this. *1.* It's easiest if both jacket and trousers are neutral, but at a minimum, one has to be neutral. *2.* Only one item should have a bold, visible pattern (stripes, checks ... and I include my shirt in this count). If more than one piece has a subtle pattern, I make sure sure that they *don't* match. *3.* They shouldn't be too similar in color. In other words, I don't want people to assume that I tried to match, but missed. *4.* Pieces should be approximately the *same* level of formality (business vs. business casual). *5.* For the more casual combinations, bonus points if the jacket and pants have different textures (sheen, matte, tweed).
Hey Antonio! I just recently subscribed to your channel and I find your advice really helpful. I’m 45 and I’m pretty much rebuilding myself after a period where I let myself go. My goal is to be fit again by the end of 2025 and I don’t wanna spend a lot of money on clothes right now, because I wanna get better fitting clothes by the end of my journey. Do you have any advice for transitioning clothing that will be cheap and make me look good while I transform myself?
I feel lots of men use the comfort excuse when you can wear very nice things that are comfortable. Crocs aren't more comfortable than well fitting leather loafers. A big heavy sweatshirt isn't more comfortable than a well fitting collared polo. I heard this somewhere, maybe here - "Nothing says you've given up on life like a pair of Hey Dudes."
Good advice, but you missed on an important one: If you are fashion impaired - hire a stylist. It actually can be done on a budget. This is very similar to getting a good barber
I want to add onto #4, finding style inspiration. Tanner Guzy has some excellent advice where he talks about finding your own personal style. I found it useful, even though I don't conveniently fit into his three main categories. He points out that clothing is a form of communication. Figure out what you want your style to say about you. When I thought it about that way, I realized that every woman that I'd ever been in a relationship with was attracted to guys who were smart, nerdy, or thin, or some combination of those. In addition, my job requires me to be bright and extremely knowledgeable. Starting from there, I looked for inspiration based on a "smart but stylish" goal. After looking at examples that met that criteria, I began incorporating eyeglasses with heavier frames, sport coats, tweed, and knit sweaters.
Guys buy the cheapest suit you can get, but get it tailored. Doesn’t matter if it is from Temu, if it is adjusted right it will look like you came from Hugo Boss.
I gotta say... most of the "elevate Fashion or Style" tips for men on TH-cam are just, plane, default, and boring. I miss the advice that would actually elevate someone's personal style, but make it unique somehow. Whatever You guys are showing is nothing short of boring and forbidden to stick out.

That's a great example of how to use color to make your outfit pop.

Thanks for everything Antonio.
Currently building my wardrobe. I dress like a grown man now. And it’s all because of you. Thank you, Antonio.
From my experience loosing weight is the biggest thing I’ve done for my fashion upgrade.
Thanks mate. Getting to a point in life where I look at my clothes and I sigh. Needed the tips.
I know the feeling! Hope you found the video helpful.
I was the same this time last year. A good tip I got off this channel was start with your footwear. Get good quality footwear and work up.
Oh ya. You don't have to do it all at once.

I thought the same thing yesterday. This video came at the perfect time.

Solid point here Joey!
Awesome video to refocus and finish the year strong!
Good tips and advice. Appreciate it 👍

Sounds like a Courtney Ryan quote.
Personally LOVE my loafers, like you said they are just as comfortable as any flip flop or crocs
Wow, where is that swing drum intro from? Sounds great. 🥁

I don't follow fashion. Fashion follows me.
I believe in Antonio RMRS supremacy

All these fashion, TH-camrs are literally recycling their old videos at this point.
That's old news and it seems to bother noone
