Congratulations on 50,000 !! I've been watching you and Tiffany when you had a little over 1,000 subscriber. You deserve all the blessings you receive from your faithful followers. I may not always comment in your videos and the lives on Sunday, but just know I love that you are still the same down to earth young man today as you were back then. God bless you and Tiffany for keeping it real. Be safe from these storms we keep getting here in Florida.
I was just watching past videos and recognized the shirt from Arms family homestead, I just recently started following them. Awesome content from both of you.
I appreciate you philosophy as to why you make your videos. I came cross them a year later and I am currently looking for my next house, so these videos are coming in perfect time. Thank you and I appreciate your hard work and efforts!! I pray that my outdoor kitchen will be as good as yours. I am grateful for your explanation and experience, the slope of your counter tops are on point, I have always wondered if the builders that make the videos take that into consideration. You obviously do! I am like you too, in the sense that you can't really over due your home projects, especially if you are expecting long term usage
Well, I'm late to the party. Congrarts on the 50k! First, let me preface this comment by saying how impressed I am with your ability to think two steps ahead. For someone (like me) who tends to over-do just about anything, this validated many of my future concerns. I wanted to say that I have single handedly learned more from your channel in the last two weeks of watching your build videos than I have from watching R&R, Perkins Building Bros, etc. While some people say you talk too much, I personally see each episode as a master class in forethought, planning, and execution. My wife and I are waiting for our youngest to graduate here in a few years, then we're off to our land in Idaho to build something very similar. The final testing that was done (air infiltration testing for CO) justified EVERY second you spent talking, explaining, taping, caulking, and over analizing each element of your build. So many modern builders could take a lesson from you. We had a house built in 2004 and it is by far one of the most leaky houses we've ever lived in. At the surface it looks great, but the issues are deep in the walls. Again, my wife and I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You've given us a good dose of confidence in ourselves. Watching you struggle with the rake walls had me looking at manlifts and scissor lifts well before you acquired one. Excellent tools. Thank you. This video series did more for us than we can put in writing. God bless!
Hi Andrew love the way the out door kitchen is turning out. Not long now it will be in full use with your friends and family. Great demonstration, Thank you. Take care my friend. 🌞🇨🇦
There are pros and cons to having high moisture in the air and 1 of the pros is you don't see your lumber start to warp when the banding gets cut like I did when I went to El Paso to build a fence for my daughter. It was a long hot and very dry summer when I was down there, mornings would start off in the 90's and get up to the mid to high teens with usually around 8% humidity and sometime up to 13% for I believe it was somewhere in the high 20's of consecutive days of over 100 degrees. I would go out in the mornings and dig holes for the posts, 8 feet long buried 2 feet deep with 2 bags of concrete for each post. As the heat rose above 100 degrees I would venture into the garage where I would either stain or polyurethane posts, or the 2x8's or the 1x4's I made the (3) 5'x5' gates out of. I always liked it when you would buy it straight and by the time it got to my daughters house it looked like it came from a corkscrew willow tree... The project turned out surprisingly well though seeing how it was during the dempanic and all with shortages on everything. My daughter and myself drove from El Paso to Albuquerque to get 2 gallons of Polyurethane because it was the closest place that had any... I think it took about 9 hours with lunch to drive there and back again... Your little outdoor area is coming along great and will be a very functional spot for almost any occasion except during hurricane season!!!
Been watching since Daniel mentioned you. Really happy to see you growing. Can’t remember if it was 10 or 20 thousand that you were so ecstatic to see but have so enjoyed watching you since. Congratulations on 50,000! So well deserved.😊
Really enjoying your outdoor kitchen build project series! Just found your channel; of course, I subscribed! Love learning with you. I'm a girly girl who loves projects - this is currently out of my league! 😅 Still enjoy learning & will follow you along. All the best from Virginia Beach, VA.
Greetings.. I'm getting ready to build an outdoor kitchen and came across your videos...WOW..realy like how you explain things!! Very informative and takes a little bit of anxiety away! Thanks so much!! Wil- Neon Acres Farm, Northern, CA
Hi, Andrew! I’m in love with your new outdoor kitchen! You have thought of everything. I can’t tell you how happy I am for you and Tiffany. Love on Bullet for me.
You can get rapidset leveler primer and paint it over you plywood and thin set the backer board and you get a more of a solid surface for your tile. Just a tip I’ve learned from a oldtimer
You explanation is the best. The outdoor kitchen is looking super. That wood really has some pretty grain lines. Are you going to paint it to match the house? Your demonstration was great.
I do love watching even though I don't do any building. Tiffany is one blessed woman to have someone who loves to do DIY projects. I have to hire the work done due to my husband's physical challenges. There is no doubt in my mind your channel will continue to grow to a massive following. I'm happy to be along for the ride. 😊
Blackstone griddle drain pan are small, add a pvc drain like your sink, with a down pipe to a metal bucket, for easyclean up, also seal all bottoms of cabinet. So water ,bugs don't make nest, under base cabinet, foam around the bottoms of base cabinet ect
Are you referring to gap on the bottom of the cabinets all the way around? If so I have to leave that for water and air flow. Otherwise I'd wind up with some rot and mildew.
Thanks for posting this. I'm getting ready to build my outdoor kitchen and your video serves as a good source for ideas and methods. One thing I plan on doing differently is framing the area for the grill with metal studs and only cement board. This way I don't have to worry about fireproofing as much. Nicely done!
Andrew, you talking about over doing your electrical, back in 1994 when we built our 1st house I had installed a 400 amp service panel with 2 - 42 circuit 200 Amp Sub Panels in the garage and when I was done both panels were completely full. And the house was less than 1900 square ft. But at the time I was working as an apprentice electrician and didn’t want to have any issues. So I definitely over wired the home. Also wired a complete sound system in where every room in the house had two in ceiling speakers with a volume control. Was very nice setup back in the day. Way before Bluetooth and WiFi devices.
Aloha Andrew & Tiffany - Congratulations on the 50K+ subscribers and 8M views! I really enjoy watching your content. Thank you for the pointer to Vevor - I had no idea they existed, and I’ve been looking for a stainless rolling kitchen work table. I ordered one from Vevor last week, using your discount, and it arrived in two days, and was exactly what I wanted, at half the price of others I had been watching. Take care and stay well! Jonathan
Vevor brought me here ! great channel brother im doing the same projects around my house shop 45x80 I own Pdq up in Dunnellon fl we do tons of things and I'm just like you always building something alone .... lol keep up the great work
Great build video, always like to see plans come together. This outdoors kitchen will be functional and beautiful giving you two some awesome cookouts.
Been in construction my whole life. You did phenomenal on this build! I’m in Ocala and definitely looking to try my first outdoor kitchen build! Subscribed
Hey Andrew ! Awsome bar!! I have another great idea for you for future projects! You mentioned that you get Nasty storms down there in FLA ! How about putting foldable hurricane plexi glass doors around your party area so you can still entertain? I case it rains or something around the bar and have access into the house as well
Woo hoo, over 50 K, and couldn't be happier for ya'll, congratulations! That kitchen is going to look fantastic Andrew. I see an eventual Tiffany cooking channel area coming and a heck of a party spot. Personally, I can't thank you enough for these "how to" videos. I'm pretty handy, but I've learned so much from watching you, and I greatly appreciate your explanations.
I want to say that thank you I love what you did on my God man oh my God I love it I love it and thank you for giving me that information about those stainless steel cabinets I'm going to let them know watching you
Looks great… Just went through a kitchen remodel with a granite overhang on one side and used the hidden supports. They come in different shapes and configurations for all sorts of applications
Great tip (and test) on the paint additive. The build is looking great. I'm a bit behind with the videos but I'm not going to cheat and hit the most recent until I get there like everyone else.
I would have drilled wire holes before buttoning everything up. But, project is looking good. I would have ran the plumbing before finishing the walls.
You can’t go wrong with the durarock being it’s an outdoor project. I figured you would have used some liquid nails or PL Premium adhesive between the plywood and durarock. 😉
I think I over built my outdoor kitchen. I used that plastic decking product as a seal plate between the ground and the bottom of my framing. Then framed everything out of metal, then added plywood and tyvek. Decided at that point to add cement board to make sure the stone will have a solid surface to adhere to. I like your set up. Just hope the bottom doesn’t rot out due to hard rains
You do realize I purposely left a gap all the way around the bottom for air to go in and out as well as the water? Rot won't be an issue since it can drain and dry. My 4x4 posts are on metal brackets attached to the concrete. None of my cabinets are touching the concrete.
You were talking about getting a pit boss or treager. I have a austin xl pit boss and I love it. I have cooked a lot of meals on it. I have also made mistakes with it and had a couple greese fires but it still keeps going. You would enjoy having one of them type smokers
I didn't as I've shown so much electrical on the channel. I put a 20 amp rated plug on the end and tied it into a 20 amp dedicated gfci receptacle I already had installed to feed the area.
If your gonna do a poured concrete countertop I would suggest looking into doing poured limestone basically same process except the limestone can self heal to stress cracks over time absorbing moisture threw the air concrete will not self heal
@@TKCL not if you seal it properly I have concrete counters in both my bathrooms you could epoxy coat them like I did or use S2000 a cement sealer densifier but people are making kitchen countertops with concrete all the time now you could just use a sealing wax to protect the surface
@@TKCL but what I was saying is not to do this and switch to doing a poured limestone it’s the same process except use th-cam.com/video/Gfb4ZE_fdYU/w-d-xo.html it turns back into limestone harder then concrete and self healing to cracks and you can stain it like marble as your pouring it think Venetian plaster
You mentioned pit boss please do your home work on that brand. Have a couple buddy’s that’s very dissatisfied with there rusting out. I personally have a Camp chef and have now had it for three years with absolutely no problems. It’s the Woodwind 36in with the side sear stainless steel.
Just watched the entire series. Fantastic learning for me. I'll be using some donated granite for my top. For my walls I'll be done a stone veneer affixed to a hardie/dura rock type product. Do you think I'd still need plywood underneath that? Thanks
I’m not sure if this would be over kill but for the safety of your guess think about a short splash or grease Guard around the blackstone. So you don’t have popping hot food and grease from hitting your guess. And maybe add a few hooks under the bar top for the ladies to hang there purses.
Enjoying this video series a lot! Thanks for all the details! You're saving me a lot of thinking time on mine coming up. Can you tell me the dimensions of the opening for your blackstone?
Glad you enjoyed it! The opening is huge, will be 43 inches after tile. I wanted a 3 inch gap all around for heat to escape and for any future upgrades. I bet someone makes a huge 40 inch griddle soon.
- Pretty sure your doing all your homework on fire prevention. Enjoy your forward planning and anticipating potential power loads. - looking at your painted porch ceiling, it sure looks nice to me. You really wanted the wood car siding ceiling but the paint sure looks as good vs spending a $hit load of money and labor on car siding.
@@TKCL Haha..20k you would never want to cook inside again.. I'm getting some things together for mine, right now I have a stainless commercial 3 compartment sink, smoker, boiling station, will get the rest as I run across them . Will you be adding you new ice maker to your build. Perhaps you did I just didn't get through the entire video yet, my bad. Got stuff to do here in south Louisiana and it's either hot as heck or raining .
Love the videos. Attempting to recreate what you did. Adding a drop in grill as well. QUESTION. I know you used treated plywood on bottom shelves. Did you use teared for the counter top and bar or just regular plywood
Thinking about de-lamination from water over time, did you ever end up painting the bottom edge of the plywood? It looks like it's only about half an inch or so above the patio...
I did not, but it would be a good idea. Zero issues after a lot of rains and pressure washing. I can always trim the bottom and put in a piece of pvc trim.
It’s looking good and yes seeing the step-by-step and showing how the fire /heat paint works is fascinating:) was there a strong odor to the treated wood stick? You do what you need to do as your doing a great job on putting out your videos:) tfs stay safe and God Bless:)
Hello I am in the process of having a kitchen built for me. Your DIY is exactly what I want. I have been following you step by step. What size plywood are you using to cover the frame?
Congratulations! I've been here since Daniel mention your channel. So glad I did. Love watching. Such a wide variety of of information. By the way. How are the armadillo traps working? Good stuff! 👍
The outdoor kitchen is shaping up. I was wondering how you'll connect the wiring to power. Will you wire up all the cabinets and then on the power end of the wire just add a plug to go into the outlets you already have. Hope this explains my question.

You mentioned pit boss please do your home work on that brand. Have a couple buddy’s that’s very dissatisfied with there rusting out. I personally have a Camp chef and have now had it for three years with absolutely no problems. It’s the Woodwind 36in with the side sear stainless steel.
I was just throwing names out there so people knew what I was referring to. I'm not ready to buy just yet.
Enjoy the outdoor kitchen build. Would like to know where you purchase the sink

Just watched the entire series. Fantastic learning for me. I'll be using some donated granite for my top. For my walls I'll be done a stone veneer affixed to a hardie/dura rock type product. Do you think I'd still need plywood underneath that? Thanks
In that particular case you should be fine as is.
I heard a little PROJECT FARM in your tone. AND we are gunna test that >>> LOL
Love his channel!
I’m not sure if this would be over kill but for the safety of your guess think about a short splash or grease Guard around the blackstone. So you don’t have popping hot food and grease from hitting your guess. And maybe add a few hooks under the bar top for the ladies to hang there purses.
We will see how high the Blackstone is soon, I think it will be ok.
@@TKCL Ok, thanks so much! Keep up the good work!
We can’t use plastic boxes outside due to code, only metal so melting is not a problem where we are
I'm going to cap these fronts with the gasket metal front plates.
Wow, electrical!
Yaaaaayyyyyyy! 🤣
I agree, I'm glad we saved the thousands it would have cost to cover the ceiling.
that durock is heavy as heck. load a tuck load of that up in a day and take it up stairs and you will have a set of biceps !!
No kidding
Define your definition of budget.
Trying to stay around $4k for everything, including what was donated. I've splurged a little, we shall see.
@@TKCL that's not that bad. Especially when building it to last outside.
No it's not, I know people that spend that much on on outdoor rated gas grill.... Nothing else! One guy told me I was going to have $20k in this 🙄🤣
@@TKCL Haha..20k you would never want to cook inside again..
No ice maker yet, I might add one later on.
Love the videos. Attempting to recreate what you did. Adding a drop in grill as well. QUESTION. I know you used treated plywood on bottom shelves. Did you use teared for the counter top and bar or just regular plywood
Regular, don't use treated under tile. It dries and has the potential to warp.
Nice!! I like the detailed videos...🙂
Thank you
cant have too much electric. gotta be ready for when your buddies stop by with teh music equipment and a keg ready to jam up and have a good ol time.
Yeah! 🍻🍻🍻🍻
BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE, DRAIN FOR THE GRESE,FOOD CLEAN UP, OIL
As designed I think I'll be able to keep the factory drain.
No odor at all, which is weird 🤔. Thank you for watching, God bless!
Hello I am in the process of having a kitchen built for me. Your DIY is exactly what I want. I have been following you step by step. What size plywood are you using to cover the frame?
I think it was 1/2 inch, as long as you are adding tile backer board on top of that, you will be plenty strong enough.
If your guests ever get too cheerful, they can dance on the bar top! Could we say you're a serial overkiller🤣🤣🤣?
I'd freak if someone jumps up there 😬😬
Congratulations! I've been here since Daniel mention your channel. So glad I did. Love watching. Such a wide variety of of information. By the way. How are the armadillo traps working? Good stuff! 👍
Thank you very much! Armadillo trapping has shut down for some reason? Yet I am still seeing a lot of activity.
The outdoor kitchen is shaping up. I was wondering how you'll connect the wiring to power. Will you wire up all the cabinets and then on the power end of the wire just add a plug to go into the outlets you already have. Hope this explains my question.
That's exactly how it's done.
@@TKCL sounds good
