Mmkay Butterick!! Coming in hot with the first two patterns and of course I love the Vintage patterns. And oddly enough, I like the nightgown - but I would absolutely cut it and make it a mini dress with some doc martens
Raven, I can see you making that nightgown for some reason. You have me at Doc Marten. Did Butterick come through for us for the fall/winter collection? I was shocked looking through the collection. I was like ooooooooooootay Butterick I see you.
Rochelle - thanks for doing all the work and reviews so we don't have to! :-) The collection was a bit redundant on Butterick's part but there are a few that I'd pick up if they go on sale! I love the No Notions pattern with the skirt, pants and turtleneck and overlay type of shrug. Thanks again!!!!
My pleasure Fawn! I literally just told someone in the comment. I do the work so you all don't have to. I appreciate you all so much!!! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts with me.
Thank you. The robe with cowl neck caught my eye because I'm a retired home-body. I had a similar one in high school in the 1960s with a hood, and I wore it until the fabric fell apart. You do a nice job on these pattern reviews.
Awww thank you!!!! The robe with the cowl neck can be an easy comfortable piece for you. I'm laughing at worn it until the fabric fell apart. Thank you so much for the compliment on these pattern review drop videos. I appreciate it! I do the work so you don't have to. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi Rochelle nice job on the new Butterick Pattern Drop. The pattern l will be picking up is B7013., and whatever you pick up Rochelle you know it will be a winner because you always look good in whatever you choose. Thank You for all that you do! ❤👏👏🤗👍👍
I will say... I'm not the biggest fan of Butterick because it's more of the "work life" wardrobe with their patterns. I work, I do life, etc, but I have to make it fashionable for me to wear. This collection is pretty good and I'm going to buy a few of them. Thank you so much for sharing with me. 😘
I am hollering right now 🤣🤣🤣!!! Not the nightgown screams Sears. They are absolutely closed, but of course many had them in the early 60-80s. I'm not going to confirm or deny if I had one in the 80s. I believe 7019 can be really cute in a subtle Ankara print.
I'm liking 7014 because it's almost 11:30 p.m., it's chilly where I live and I have a cold, so it looks like something I would like to put on right now 😁! Other than that comfort food pattern, I like 7016 because I had a black twill jacket that is falling apart because I wore it so much and this would be a good replacement. Thanks for another fun/great video!!!
Mary, feel better hunny!!!! You all are making me want to pick up 7014 because I have a similar pattern like that in Simplicity. It's S9210 I believe and listening 👂🏽👂🏽 to you. I might get it!
I agree with you on that one. There is another pattern for this one as well. I would have to go to my storage unit and dig in the McCall's 6400 series. When I go I will add it to my description.
Erm what? B7014 is very nice an' all Butterick, but why is your only plus sized model in this release wearing a modern kaftan? It won't look so strange out in the wild with all the other patterns but they got to think these things though.
Some attractive styles. But can't stand drop shoulders. My shoulders are narrow and I have full upper arms. So drop shoulders, grown-on sleeves, dolmans and even raglan sleeves, just make the patterns ineligible for purchase by me.
Which patterns are you picking up? Which pattern should I consider for a sew along?
I think one of the vintage ones. I am learning to appreciate them. I always need to grade them though.
@@YesItsMsP I would always have to grade a vintage pattern. I have a stash of vintage patterns also.
I sew ❤ when you do these patterns drops sis , you know how to get us sewing inspired , if our sew jo is down , you sure know how to get it back up ❤😊
Aww thank you Toni! I am here to help and inspired everyone to get their sew-jo back and take breaks when needed but don't stay gone forever.
Most of these Butterick patterns I ❤ 😊, thanks sew much sis 👍🏾🙏🏾💃🏾
Glad you like them!
Great job! Thank you❣️
My pleasure!
Just came across your channel and you got me hooked when you said you were a math teacher! You’re a Renaissance woman -math and art! Very creative!
Aww thank you! Join the family and stick around. :)

Great video! I'd love a sew-a-long for any of the outerwear patterns.
I have a few sew-alongs planned. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much Tina! I appreciate that.
Glad that you are doing well. I usually don’t like Butterick as well as other brands but I love this collection.

My favorite collection yet !
Thank you Caroline
I gotta keep it beginner friendly. I like the vintage vest pattern
I know that's right.
I love frankenpatterning, its so much fun:D
I love a good frankenpattern moment. I think it's fun to change up the pattern.
Love this drop… I will probably pick about 75% of these.
Salvation, same here. This one was really good unlike most.
That nightgown screams Sears! But did I have one as a kid? Of course! 😅 That retro 7019 dress could be cute made in Ankara fabric for a modern twist.

👍🏿👍🏿
7012 I like the skirt suit , I would ❤ to add a midriff to the top of it though , just to improve it a bit , what do you think of the idea ❤?
I can see adding a midriff... alot of these patterns are just base patterns for you to hack.
I have a lot of Gurdie patterns in my stash
I have a few of them also
7016 family I ❤ 👍🏾
With 7009, it seems pretty similar to McCall's M7247 🙂
I agree with you on that one. There is another pattern for this one as well. I would have to go to my storage unit and dig in the McCall's 6400 series. When I go I will add it to my description.

Understood. I notice only 1 or 2 patterns for the plus girls. SMH!
Could you enlarge your photos? Also, Line drawings are coming out very distorted. Sorry but this makes it very difficult to view them.
Angie, I enlarge it to fit the screen of a PC. The line art and photos are from the Simplicity.com website.

Understood. You can hack the pattern and make those changes to better fit what you like. Just an option.
