i hated new york in my first 4 months, but after 1 year i started to love it.... the city itself have a lot of things to offer...New York thought me how to be independent, emotionally detached, strong and smart! try living here guys... no harm in trying...
I miss the city like no other. Yes, it's a struggle and a hustle, but it's so rewarding. Every single time I place my groceries in the back of my car and drive home I remember walking from Grand St. in Soho to Whole Foods on Bowery then taking the F train to the 7th Ave, 9th St stop in Park Slope so I could walk downhill instead of uphill to my apartment... or the room I rented in that apartment. LOL the struggle IS real but I appreciate every single lesson I learned in NYC.
So you're calling every non-American born in nyc a rapist and refugee? In that case you are disrespecting most of the nyc population, and immigrants are what made/ continues to make the city so valuable in the first place.
A month ago I moved from Southern California to NY for graduate school and I have started to really like NYC. At first, I wasn't happy because I felt lonely and there were lots of inconveniences. I knew no one, everything was so small(rooms, bathrooms, shops, markets, etc), traveling 10km took ages, it was no longer safe to wear flip flops/thongs,etc etc. However, once I started meeting new people(thank god for meetup sites/apps and friends of friends), I started feeling better about the place. I love that the subway is 24/7(I can go out drinking! :D), there is cuisine from all over the world, there are people of all backgrounds, people move quickly, there is always something new to experience, etc. Lol I am going to miss NYC when I go back to SoCal for winter break
Micheal Peggins NYC is too dirty for sandals :p I'm back in SoCal(Orange County) for a month and it now feels weird that I can actually leave the house in sandals. In general, being back in SoCal is a bit weird ahaha
Nidia Valle i haven't been back to sd since i left. I'm sure I'm going to be in shock when i go back home though lol. The energy is so drastically different!
I love how you are so honest with your viewers. You're personality really reflect what kind of person you are hardworking, kind and always striving for the better. Totally a great role model!!👍
As an Australian wanting to move to NYC..I have a few questions: namely, what type of visa are u on? How did they accept u for the internship if you were an Australian graduate(assuming they only take American grads). Did you get the job instantly after the 3 month internship ended? And did your employer help with the visa process. Thanks!
Sarah Gutierrez ya let's just keep smoking pot and getting drunk every night that's what I'm going to do with my life FUCK THOSE OLDER ADULTS JUDGING ME...
Omg this is the best story! I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Living the dream girl...presenting, journalism, videography. It's so awesome to hear that you hopped right into it. I hadn't realized what my real passion was until after spending my entire 20s being a flight attendant, so watching you follow an adventure that ties your passions at what I think is a young age is really awesome. Yay for you!
This means so much, thank you so much! I think most people are just hoping to find something that they really enjoy, but get a little lost along the way, but I think that's all part of the journey. It's a bit of hard work, persistence, and luck. I hope everything is going well for you, and just keep learning what you can and taking any opportunity that comes your way! xoxo
this is why you're one of my favorites, you are so genuine and carefree, not to also say, you have such a bubbly and happy personality :) Would love to bump into you one day on the streets of nyc!
You are a great motivational speaker. I am a native NYer who now lives in the Caribbean, and I found your tips/insight spot on. NY is a "dirty" city which we share with rodents, but it's a melting pot where you can meet the most wonderful people and experience what it would take years of travelling to enjoy. Good luck! Love your videos and collaborations. Mara
I'd love to go to NYC. I moved to LA and even though I love the weather and the beaches, I find it kind of fake. Los Angeles is a huge pretentious overrated parking space. Not only are the people fake but the city itself. In NYC people are real, they might seem rude but I would rather someone is rude but honest then seemingly nice but then you find out they are totally fake (like in Los Angeles).
singapore was just rated (HSBC reported by CNBC i believe) as the best place on earth for expats (of various countries) to live! i'd love to visit, that's for sure! glad you love it so much!!!
this is the first video i've watched from you and I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY. also probably the longest youtube one on one talk video i would have ever watched but i couldn't leave this video.. I LOVED IT
AWW thank you for telling me that! Means a lot, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and hope it was helpful in some way! ahhah. Let me know if there are any other topics you think I should talk about, and I an try to work them into a future video as well :) Thanks for the comment! xoo
The last part of this especially rings true for me. I loved this! I live in Kentucky, and people don't ever even imagine traveling to NYC on a vacation let alone living there. They get married, have kids, then save money and buy a house, get divorced, all while not working in any field they're actually passionate about. I love finding people (especially through my TH-cam channel!) who relate to living a life you're fully committed to and passionate about. This video is now marked in my favorites so I can come back & visit it
Thank you so much, that means a lot, and I'm so happy that you got where I was trying to go with it. It's finding and understanding the true purpose of what we're doing and why we're doing it that makes everything worthwhile - which is easier said than done haha. Thanks again for the comment! x
Mariajbh2 Its so fast pace, and you will meet so many people you will always be looking for the better person(or the person you meet). Its a city that will eventually drain you emotional and physically and you kinda change. I did it for 3 years, I miss it, but I am glad I am gone.
I'm from Staten Island, New York, which is a borough of nyc and it's actually very suburban and quiet, so not every part of nyc is dirty and full of hustle and bustle and we don't even have a subway here lol. However, I do commute to Manhattan for college and everything she is saying is true. There are rats in subways, it does smell like pee, etc. but when you are just walking through Manhattan it truly does look beautiful.
I struggled so much when I first moved, and still struggling! glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Nonetheless, super grateful to be here! :) Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for being honest. People try to show only the finer things avoiding the reality. It was refreshing seeing it from this perspective. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was searching youtube for a NYC guide and watched your film to find out that you follow the principles of falun dafa, truthfulness, compassion, forbearance :) you also work for NTD, that's great. falun dafa hao! all the best from vienna!
Welcome to big cities. I lived in London for 3 years, it's almost exactly the same as NYC, busy, dirty and super expensive. However, I like the lifestyle in big cities where there are many exciting things to do, so I choose to live like this.
Awww that is so great to hear, thank you so much for saying that! :) Keeo doing you boo! All we can do is try our best in every situation. Hope it's all going well!
Thank you! Just moved to New York City, and started my internship in the PR/media industry. Life has been quite messy in NYC and trying very hard to grasp it!!!! Thanks for the video, exactly what I need to hear right now!!!
I'm from a small town in a country going through a huge economic crisis now called Venezuela, which is located north of South America, but my dream since I can remember has always been moving to new york. I work hard to achieve it, and after college I would like to make this great adventure. Thanks for sharing your experience, gives me much hope.
loved this ! thank you :) i've always wanted to move to NY so this was helpful. I'm Malaysian and I just recently moved to Singapore for work. Thanks for the honest insight and I love your humour.
I love how real, yet aspirational, you are. Yes girl i say aspirational because whether you fell into NY or not you had the guts to stay and make a life for yourself in a city that isnt as perfect as it seems. Inspiring me to live and work overseas before settling down :)
I got way more info, entertainment, and advice out of this video then I originally expected. This is the first video I've seen on your channel, subbed! I've seen some other NTD channels that I've been enjoying which was how I stumbled across you.
as someone who lives just outside Manhattan, its dirty. im always amazed how bad i feel i need a long shower after im there all day. the subway is definitely the worst part though. Your very honest, i liked your video!
Lived there, done that. NYC is only for the rich. It doesn't make sense to sacrifise because it doesn't lead to anything other than leaving the city in the end. Pay is not in line with how expensive it is to live there and thise is done on purpose to get rid of people who are not wealthy. It is definitely a great city to visit.
This is such a helpful and inspiring video. I am on my last year of college and I am having so much trouble picking a place to go and live after college. NYC is on, if not first, second place on the list. I would love to hear more about your life experience in NYC.
Hi gorgeous! Could you talk a little bit about your visa situation? From internship and transitioning to actual work. It'll be super helpful for future international students (like myself)!
I can totally relate as a person who lives in NYC haha. I don't know if you remember me but I'm the girl who interviewed you that one time from FIT 🙊 it's so awesome hearing your take and what you've learned so far while living in the city
lol Awesome video. I've been in Brooklyn for about a month and I'm learning the same things but I LOVE IT. My suggestions.... Want to move to NYC? Just do it and enjoy the ride. Prepare for no sleep, long days and nights, and the most random things in life. Oh an madd rats
I just saw your Chanel last week and been obsessed in watching your videos especially your makeup tutorial and recommendations. We have the same skin tone and I'm Asian as well so buying makeup products outside U.S. became so easy thank you:)
This video shows up on my TH-cam news feed and this is indeed my first time watching you! I admire everybody who leaves their comfort zone to grab something they want. I myself did something similar - leaving my good job in HK after 4+ years and move to London now. It has been almost one whole year which I simply cannot believe it! I went to the Big Apple a few times and I can totally imagine the difficulties you addressed (so glad that I don't have to deal with croach issue in London #disgusting!) I agree that there are times that we have to push ourselves to get what we want, everyone is different and I am glad to know others stories on TH-cam, we're not alone. Keep up the good work :D Stay hungry, stay foolish! xoxo
That's awesome! I want go to London again, last time it was only for 2 days which isn't long at all to see a city. Hope all is going well for you over there and still learning lots! Thanks for the comment! xox
It's a great time to come as the Christmas lights are on but it can be a bad time for people who don't like crowds (was at Oxford Circus today and... too many people!!) Doing good in the Big Smoke and looking for more challenges and excitements ahead, cheers! xoxo
Props to you for living in NYC! It definitely has pros and cons but at the end of the day it's such a beautiful city! I just uploaded a travel vlog to NY if anyone wants to check it out :)
daisy buchanan from the great gatsby said, "and I hope she'll be a fool - that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool" and I always analyzed that to be negative.. but I definitely agree with your take on being foolish. I love it. thanks for being you, felicia! you've inspired me so much and I'm so happy I stumbled upon otgw bc of that (:
It's just like here in Tel Aviv. I pay about 1200$ a month for a 2 bedroom aparment which isn't too small but it's old af and the landlord won't renovate or even set up an air-conditioner. When I entered the apartment, I had to pay more than 600$ extra to my friend (who'd left for a good life in Vienna) just to have an AC and a closet. Since then, I paid more than 2500$ extra just to have my furniture and electric stuff. I literally have almost zero money left in the end of the month, so I try to rethink everything I spend on as well, even food and transportation. There are no parking spots here, the lots are always packed and if not, they're too expensive. Everything is old and too noisy and crowded, so I don't sleep well and I wake up 2 hrs earlier every day just to make it to work in time, which is also here in central TLV. And don't get me started on how everything in Israel is expensive and limited - and the salaries are wayyyyy too minimal compared to other Western countries, especially the US. I'm now looking for a place outside this city, even a Kibbutz is better. It's so so tough in here, the people think the sun shines from their behinds, terrorism threatens everyday life, you basically live to work and don't work to live, the climate is evil especially to us girls and there's so much more. I remember living in LA and it was sooo much better!
Omgosh if you did daily talks/podcasts or the like I'd definitely tune in LOL, I love the way you talk and express things :) this was also very informative bc I'm preparing to make the move (from NJ, not even far tbh) in the next year, thank you!
Just discovered your channel! Despite this being a 19 min video, it was so enjoyable to watch haha makes me miss the grind of NY. You're so lucky to live there!!
Hey thanks for this video! I'm a university student, majoring political science, living in a small (actually its big, just not that known lol) country in Asia. Ever since I was 18, I've always wonder how it feels like to live in such big city. But I never actually know what I'm going to do when I get there, or how do I actually get there? But then I bumped into this video of yours and I realize that MAYBE, one day I'd found an unexpected opportunity to get there just like you got through that internship thing. Thanks for letting me know that chances will come eventually if you just keep doing your best at what you're doing. Okay this is a long ass comment with broken english (I'm sorry) but anyway thanks and maybe see you in NYC in.. 5 years?:)
''rats on the train'' LOL OMG... I stumbled upon your video randomly and you gave a nice and honest presentation of NY. I have a family friend who said the same things! I agree with you on ''being truthful and not portraying an image of yourself that you're not, especially on YT.'' It takes a bold person to do that. hats off.
Saw your channel and I was interested on watching your videos coz Im also from New York. Ive been living here for almost 2 years now. I live in Upper East Manhattan. Yeah, your right, definitely expensive for a studio apartment. Mine is $1750 with all utilities included. For me, my meals are not a problem as I am working in culinary department. I agree with the mouse issue, even in my apartment there is. Subways are just crowded during rush hours. Yes its expensive here but there are a lot of opportunities for you to learn and feed your mind. I still love New York and blessed that I am here
Perhaps you can advise me, after years as working as a physician I seriously want to go into TV presenting. I love social media, love talking to people about health, food, travel or lifestyle. I honestly believe it is never too late to reinvent yourself. Is that internship or something similar available? Thanks!
Just found this channel and I'm so thankful for it! Love your personality and honesty. I want to come to New York for college and the honesty and down to earth view you have is so helpful. Hope you have a great day :)
How you said you didn't want to sell your soul to a white cubical, did you not have a job previously? Also it would be awesome to see a video about the cost of moving and living in NY.
RebelRhiannon nahh lol she means like sitting in a building in a box everyday doing the same thing every day every minute as everyone else and being torture like hell if that makes sense lol
I love your take on NYC! It's quite honest & true. As an ex NYer (Is anyone ever really an ex NYer?) I hear something in your speech that indicates you are not a native Aussie. Where were you born?
I love how honest you are! I've always wanted to go to NYC and try not to have movie expectations of NYC, haha! Your video is giving me life lol. I'm visiting NYC this December and I'll be there for a week through New Year's Eve too so ahh I'm excited! Thanks!
I've been living here for ~3 months now. I can give you some tips if you want :D Ex: Going to Rockefeller is going to be a pain in the butt because of the crowds lol. I recommend avoiding 5th and 6th av xD
your so independent and inspiring, I live in a small town in mass. but new York isn't vary far away now we got an Amtrak to go there. thank you for showing your what seems to emulate to me, fearless determination to live your life and make your dreams and aspirations come true, I hope you the best, I'm an artist n going to school for my degree I inspire to become a court room sketch artist, I just wish I believed I am going to b able to do that.
Hello, I just want to tell you that what you are describing sounds so similar to my experience when I moved from Prague(Czech Republic) to Sydney in Australia. And all the values you are talking about are all the ones Aussie people and Australia itself taught me. And I am so grateful for that and the 8,5 yrs I spent there were the most beautiful ones in my life so far. I will always be thankful to Australia for who I have become because of that experience. I love Aussie people and their kindness and thank you for teaching others that. That is why I have subscribed to your channel even though I am not big on make up :-). And I love you Aussie accent :-). Keep spreading the kindness! Thank you :-) wish you all the best in your adventure and don't give up. Money cannot not buy you what the experience gives you mentally. The enrichment and open mind. Take care
Sydney is such a great city! I love it there too! Travelling and living in another is definitely one of the best things you can do, so good for you for making the move! I hope things are going well for you, and keep on taking every opportunity you can! You never know what life can offer :) xo Thanks so much for the comment! x
History[edit] In 1979, it was recorded by Frank Sinatra, for his album Trilogy: Past Present Future (1980), and has since become closely associated with him. He occasionally performed it live with Minnelli as a duet. Sinatra recorded it a second time for his 1993 album Duets, with Tony Bennett.
I just got to the end of the video. It made me miss NYC soo much. But this video was so inspiring. It definitely made me click the subscribe button (which I don't know why I hadn't already) anyway keep up the great work!! some random girl is proud of you :-)
I'm researching NY trip vlogs and has come across your video. It's always to good see someone talk about the 'reality' of living in NYC. I'm from Sydney btw, NY is always my dream city and I've visited twice before absolutely love it; and going there soon for a holiday again, but I never got the courage to 'pursuit my America dream' :0 anyways best of luck to your life there!!
Aww I love Sydney! I'm actually from Canberra haha. Well take every opportunity you can and maybe it will lead you somewhere here! Thanks for the comment! xo
Hi, This was very informative! I don't want to intrude but could you please list the airbnb place that you rented out before you found your apartment? Thank you
Yessss! Just the kind of advice I needed! Love ur honesty! This is real life we r living! Btw, I am now studing abroad in Australia! I love it, and ur advice really helped!!
Awww that's awesome! Australia is definitely a beautiful place, I really realized that after coming here hahah. Hope it's all going great for you over there! Thank you for your comment!
I've been to New York twice on summer vacations. I noticed that New Yorker loves to gossip lol. I've encountered really friendly people and also rude people. I was in flushing Chinatown eating at the foodcourt and these asian lady was sitting beside us starring at us the whole time while we're eating. Then suddenly she bent over, told me in a rude way YOU SHOULD EAT THAT YELLOW PART. telling me how to eat my own food. excuse me, mind your own business. And catcalling is real. But honestly I love New York, there's so much going on! you'll never get bored.
Hi love, I just subscribed! I totally agree and laughed when you said don't ask for directions in a nice manner. I just came back from NY and people are so rude! I bumped into a guy in the grocery store and I said "oh I'm sorry," then the guy just looked at me and walked off. . .. On the streets I said "Bless you" to someone who sneezed and they just walked off. It was so strange to me. I couldn't wait to return to Colorado lol
Thanks so much for being honest about your journey to New York. I watch Off the great wall and was so excited to see your video in my recommendations. 💕💕💕
Felicia! 'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish' is also one of my favourite quotes! I feel like I can relate to so many things you've said, I hope I will get to meet you one day :D KEEP HUSTLIN GIRL.
I applaud you for making such big decisions so early on. So courageous! Something I could have never done! :) I so envy you. It seems with each experience (staying hungry and foolish) you're getting wiser- you're so much fun to watch but there's some old world wisdom/understanding that you give out that I cannot pinpoint to... :) Don't ever lose your sparkle! As someone who escaped(?) NY.. watching your video clips makes me want to go back lol
I love how u dont try to look perfect in front of camera. Although i love some youtubers for producing specific content, I think you stand out because you are truly urself in camera.
this video is honestly so helpful! its nice to have someone be straight up about what its really like, and super helpful coming from someone who's from Australia (I'm from New Zealand). What challenges did you face with the immigration side of moving, i.e. what kind of visa do you have? Thanks
I’m Aussie too and hoping to move to New York. My whole life I’ve shared a tiny room with three of my brothers (I’m the only girl) so I should be right with the small spaces haha. It’s good to hear an Australian perspective
thank you for this really informative and thoughtful video!! + i like how you commited to saying the truth, but not in a "it sucks living here!!" rant and communicated positive life lessons, too. you seem very down-to-earth with your beliefs. :+)
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I really adore your view in life :) and also pleasse make the apartment tour video! I love the way you decorate your space.
I'm not sure yet... I will have to see what happens and what opportunities there are :) But Australia will always be home, so eventually I will probably move back there because my whole family is there too :)
well considering she hasnt lived in many places in america and that she probably has only lived in one place in australia I dont really think she can compare
Adrienne Well she still has far more knowledge than most people and share what she's been through. I'm not telling her to know everything i'm just suggesting for her to give us a little more insight.
I'm planning to move there too, but could you please tell me what are the essentials to move there? Like VISA, some random documents needed to flight and like is it really necessary to have a credit card? Stuff like that
I can't believe I discovered your channel only now. love your videos! Were you by any chance from ANU/Canberra?? instantly thought of it when you said Asia Pacific studies :)
I’m moving to New York probably next year:) I’m 14 and I’m super excited hopefully my mom and step dad don’t change their mind, I been to New York like 5 times so it’s that that big of deal when I go but LIVING in New York 😱
Im trying to find the program you were mentioning. I could not find it. Can you give me more info where I can find it. I saw the link you left, but not too sure where to look or the name for it. Thanks!
I am glad I found your channel, I am an Aussie that wants to makes to move to NY after Uni. I visit New York as much as I can and NY is definitely my favorite place on Earth. I know that you gotta hustle hard over there and I am prepared for that. I am soon be a graduate in the field of Urban Planning and Property thus why NY is of interest. Would it be easier to try and find a place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn or even over in Jersey? Cheaper rents and still within affordable PT to the city?
Omgoodness~ Dear Felicia, I was so moved on what u said . I got to know u from OTGW and just thought u cute and hilarious but...this video really moved me I even teard when u talking 😢...I neverthought that U were so honest and genuine .「Truethfulness,Compassion,Forbearance 」is good . And I know NTD is contributing to rebuilt the genuine Chinese orthodox culture.Thats rather a meaningful thing. And I can feel these good info beneath u ! Go on your way ^^ BTW, u r soooo Asia.
i hated new york in my first 4 months, but after 1 year i started to love it.... the city itself have a lot of things to offer...New York thought me how to be independent, emotionally detached, strong and smart! try living here guys... no harm in trying...
That is totally true!! Totally feel the same, it's definitely not for everyone but there's a certain draw and appeal to it that's like no other :)
lally asian
I miss the city like no other. Yes, it's a struggle and a hustle, but it's so rewarding. Every single time I place my groceries in the back of my car and drive home I remember walking from Grand St. in Soho to Whole Foods on Bowery then taking the F train to the 7th Ave, 9th St stop in Park Slope so I could walk downhill instead of uphill to my apartment... or the room I rented in that apartment. LOL the struggle IS real but I appreciate every single lesson I learned in NYC.
WAH I want to live in NYC so badly! Your place looks so, so cute!
For $600 a month it would be cute. $2400 a month is not cute . . . it's being mugged.
Supply and demand.
if you are strong physically and mentally this is the city for you... be smart
riannstar ha u wish
So you're calling every non-American born in nyc a rapist and refugee? In that case you are disrespecting most of the nyc population, and immigrants are what made/ continues to make the city so valuable in the first place.

I moved from San Diego with my wife. I LOVE NYC!! but I haven't worn sandals in so long now lol
Micheal Peggins Omg YES. I miss the energy :[ I dislike how slow it can be here
*glares specifically at Trader Joe's* =__=
Nidia Valle you don't know busy until you see trader joes in Manhattan lol
I love how you are so honest with your viewers. You're personality really reflect what kind of person you are hardworking, kind and always striving for the better. Totally a great role model!!👍
AWW thank you so much for your comment, it really means a lot! Hope the video was somewhat entertaining and insightful hahah, mwahh! xoo
I really want to move to NYC, and after watching this i want to do it now! Also love your makeup! x

Totally agree with you on how people expect you to know what you want to do. I hate being asked by older adults what Im going to do in life.
I feel ya! Just keep doing you :P xox
Same!!!
Sarah Gutierrez ya let's just keep smoking pot and getting drunk every night that's what I'm going to do with my life FUCK THOSE OLDER ADULTS JUDGING ME...

King Libra I agree I’m from LA and been thinking about moving to New York.
I moved to Singapore! The cleanest city on earth! No 'grets.
ever been to Melbourne?
yo welcome to this little city, hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)
prankzter starr Singapore is NOT clean. It has a lot of gross third world public hygiene practices.
singapore was just rated (HSBC reported by CNBC i believe) as the best place on earth for expats (of various countries) to live! i'd love to visit, that's for sure! glad you love it so much!!!
I agree!
this is the first video i've watched from you and I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY. also probably the longest youtube one on one talk video i would have ever watched but i couldn't leave this video.. I LOVED IT

Thank you so much, that means a lot, and I'm so happy that you got where I was trying to go with it. It's finding and understanding the true purpose of what we're doing and why we're doing it that makes everything worthwhile - which is easier said than done haha. Thanks again for the comment! x
Pro Tip: Get married before moving there. You will not find love in NYC.
Panthers1521 😂😂😂 forreal
why?
Mariajbh2 Its so fast pace, and you will meet so many people you will always be looking for the better person(or the person you meet). Its a city that will eventually drain you emotional and physically and you kinda change. I did it for 3 years, I miss it, but I am glad I am gone.
I am never going to find love whenever I go. No matter what state or country 😂😂😂
xoxoxoxoxogin poor, why you are so negative?
I'm from Staten Island, New York, which is a borough of nyc and it's actually very suburban and quiet, so not every part of nyc is dirty and full of hustle and bustle and we don't even have a subway here lol. However, I do commute to Manhattan for college and everything she is saying is true. There are rats in subways, it does smell like pee, etc. but when you are just walking through Manhattan it truly does look beautiful.
you are one of my favorite youtubers!! so honest and fun to watch!!
That is so kind, thank you so much!! xox
I struggled so much when I first moved, and still struggling! glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Nonetheless, super grateful to be here! :) Thanks for the vid.
I really appreciate your honestly. I feel like other youtubers really do glamorize how it is to live in NYC, and I love that you told it as it is.
However, I like the lifestyle in big cities where there are many exciting things to do, so I choose to live like this.
be truthful, be compassionate, and be forbearing! luv it!
thank you for being real! its not easy living away from your family and friends, this video inspired me to keep moving forward :)
One thing I’ve got to say is;
Your are the amazing truthfully person I ever seen.❤️
I'm from a small town in a country going through a huge economic crisis now called Venezuela, which is located north of South America, but my dream since I can remember has always been moving to new york. I work hard to achieve it, and after college I would like to make this great adventure. Thanks for sharing your experience, gives me much hope.
loved this ! thank you :) i've always wanted to move to NY so this was helpful. I'm Malaysian and I just recently moved to Singapore for work. Thanks for the honest insight and I love your humour.
How are you liking Singapore?
This is probably the most informative video I have found...I'm studying in England and hoping to find an internship over in NYC in a couple of years
This is such a helpful and inspiring video.
Ho Zoe! Yes of course I remember :) Hope school and everything is going well! I know exactly the feels you're going through haha!
lol Awesome video. I've been in Brooklyn for about a month and I'm learning the same things but I LOVE IT. My suggestions.... Want to move to NYC? Just do it and enjoy the ride. Prepare for no sleep, long days and nights, and the most random things in life. Oh an madd rats
So true! It's a work hard play hard mentality to an extent. Hope it continues to go well for you! And yeh don't get me started about the rats.. hahah
Im definitely working and playing hard. Watch out for Central Park at night. Its hard to tell its rats or cats running across the paths lol
Do they be in the house too ? I hope not
I just saw your Chanel last week and been obsessed in watching your videos especially your makeup tutorial and recommendations. We have the same skin tone and I'm Asian as well so buying makeup products outside U.S. became so easy thank you:)
Aww thank you for watching! Hope you're enjoying the videos and welcome to my channel!
"Life gives you lemons, and life also squirts the lemon in your eye sometimes!"
Thank youuu! hahah ;)
daisy buchanan from the great gatsby said, "and I hope she'll be a fool - that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool" and I always analyzed that to be negative.. but I definitely agree with your take on being foolish. I love it. thanks for being you, felicia! you've inspired me so much and I'm so happy I stumbled upon otgw bc of that (:
Omgosh if you did daily talks/podcasts or the like I'd definitely tune in LOL, I love the way you talk and express things :) this was also very informative bc I'm preparing to make the move (from NJ, not even far tbh) in the next year, thank you!
awww glad I could help! Means a lot you got something from the video :) Hope the move goes well and good luck!
5 years?:)
Your English is fine.
I moved out of nyc last year and already making plans to move back next year LOL I missed ny too much, garbage and all
I like this video of you just talking with us. This was very informative and interesting to watch. I learnt more about you and NYC. :)
Aww that's great to hear you learnt something! and thank you for letting me know you like these longer chatty videos because I never know.. :P xo
I can give you some tips if you want :D
Ex: Going to Rockefeller is going to be a pain in the butt because of the crowds lol. I recommend avoiding 5th and 6th av xD
your so independent and inspiring, I live in a small town in mass. but new York isn't vary far away now we got an Amtrak to go there. thank you for showing your what seems to emulate to me, fearless determination to live your life and make your dreams and aspirations come true, I hope you the best, I'm an artist n going to school for my degree I inspire to become a court room sketch artist, I just wish I believed I am going to b able to do that.
just found your channel, love how genuine you are!! xx
Aw thank you so much! Hope you found the video somewhat entertaining and insightful! hahah, big welcome to the channel! xo
Coffee & Cashmere do she answer comments??
You never know what life can offer :) xo Thanks so much for the comment! x
Thank you for your response. I am back with my family now, happy and content :-) Take care
We love you Felicia! Such a genuine and positive person. Also, Would love to see more Vlogs from you especially around New York if possible.
History[edit]
In 1979, it was recorded by Frank Sinatra, for his album Trilogy: Past Present Future (1980), and has since become closely associated with him.
Thanks for the comment! xo
Hi,
This was very informative! I don't want to intrude but could you please list the airbnb place that you rented out before you found your apartment?
Thank you
This is why i LOVE TH-cam! Thank you for you encouragement! Stay Foolish.
I love your philosophy, and hearing you talk is somewhat soothing!!
Haha I get sick of listening to my own voice, so thank you for saying that you enjoy it! hahah
"Life gives you lemons and life also squeeze lemon into your eyes sometimes." Hahahaha this is hilarious 😂😂
Great advice on living in NYC! Just a quick notice, the shortcut for Asian Beauty Secrets in the description is linked to China uncensored channel.
life goals!!! I'm from Australia too and I've wanted to move to New York for so long now, I love your makeup btw :)
I appreciate how real this video was! Subscribed!!
Aw awesome, thank you so much!! Hope it was insightful haha xo
Hiiiii Just stumbled across your channel today and I love your content and you!! This is probably the 10th video I've seen thus far today!!!
How did you afford it all
28kb her parents
mummy, daddy
Aww thank you so much! That means a lot hearing that.. and hope you're enjoying the videos
I love New York City. It's a city that never sleeps. You can go and walk around downtown at 3 AM.
Found you through Off The Wall channel and glad I did because Im absolutely loving your channel :) New subbie xo
Off The Great Wall
Girl, Thank you for all the things you said in this video!! Exactly what I needed to hear!
this video is honestly so helpful! its nice to have someone be straight up about what its really like, and super helpful coming from someone who's from Australia (I'm from New Zealand).
It’s good to hear an Australian perspective
i really appreciate this video! those 19 minutes went by so quick. thanks so much for the given infos :*
Aww thanks so much, means a lot! So happy to hear you enjoyed the video!! hehe hope it helped! :D xox
sure did! id love to live there for some time so yeah ;) have a great day xx
thank you for this really informative and thoughtful video!! + i like how you commited to saying the truth, but not in a "it sucks living here!!" rant and communicated positive life lessons, too. you seem very down-to-earth with your beliefs. :+)
Your eyebrows are perfecttt. They're exactly the shape I want!
this video is so real. i love you. subscribed! ❤️💕
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I really adore your view in life :) and also pleasse make the apartment tour video! I love the way you decorate your space.
Do you intend on staying in NYC or the states, or eventually going back to Australia/elsewhere?
I'm not sure yet... I will have to see what happens and what opportunities there are :) But Australia will always be home, so eventually I will probably move back there because my whole family is there too :)
Can you do a Austalia Vs America video? Like the differences and maybe the pro and cons in living in those countries
well considering she hasnt lived in many places in america and that she probably has only lived in one place in australia I dont really think she can compare
Adrienne Well she still has far more knowledge than most people and share what she's been through. I'm not telling her to know everything i'm just suggesting for her to give us a little more insight.
Your vlogs are great too! I've been making mine more authentically open lately- opening myself up to my viewers.
I loved this! So helpful 🤗💜🙌
I'm planning to move there too, but could you please tell me what are the essentials to move there? Like VISA, some random documents needed to flight and like is it really necessary to have a credit card? Stuff like that
please tell me your intro music! Also I'm moving to new york also
I make music like this. If you want I'll make some for you
Awesome! I'd love to use it in my future vlogs
+Amor Antasia okay I'll start now lol I'm moving to nyc in December btw ;).
+Giraffe Legs I sent you an email with this screen name in the title
